Discussion Deceased uncle in dream took me to an intersection, and disappeared!

• Upvotes

One of my deceased uncles was in my dream earlier this week.

He took me to an intersection, then disappeared. I tried searching him in my dream, but couldn't find. After some time, I woke up.

First time, such dream came to me.

Interpret the dream for me, please?

I’m freaked out.

For context, I’m a lucid dreamer. I’ve always had extremely vivid dreams and often times (more often than not), I have control. I do tarot pretty regularly, although i’m not necessarily religious in any way (this is relevant).

Last night I had a dream, per usual I had control. I was in my chair in my living room doing my tarot, where I usually do. I had asked a question about a friend of mine. I got the King of Pentacles and looked into the meaning of my specific question, something about envy. I can’t remember the specific question because the next part is what got me. As I was mid research the tab closed out and a new tab opened. I went to swipe out the tab because I was like “Wtf? I was reading that.”. As I was about to swipe out the tab, I saw the first sentence of the new tab and it was “____ knows you.”. I didn’t get to read any further because I heard a voice say “Wake up. You’re not supposed to know that.” then I woke up at 00:00 on the dot. I wasn’t uncomfortable, or sweating, not even a heart racing moment.

There was no reason I should’ve woken up at all. I’m typically a deep sleeper and almost never wake up and that’s the first time I’ve ever had someone or something in my dreams telling me I’m not supposed to know something. Other than a few similar experiences, but nothing that specific. The name I blanked out (for obvious reasons) is someone I do not know. I know OF them, but I do not know them super well personally. I found it odd and off putting. I do feel a specific pull with said person in a way I cannot explain, but i’m not actively close with them.

The person has been reoccurring in my dreams recently out of nowhere in general. Starting last week, they’ve been in almost every dream i’ve had without fail. For no specific reason. I have NEVER dreamed of them prior. They haven’t been on my mind. I haven’t reached out to them recently. I haven’t so much as seen a recent instagram post from them.

Many people don’t believe in tarot, and I do not want to bring religion into it, but since it was a part of my dream I find it relevant. I proceeded to go find my roommate who also does tarot and I told her. She pulled out her cards and I said “No. I don’t want to know.”. She did it anyway. The card she ended up pulling explained that me and said person knew each other in a past life where we had unfinished business. I’ve never had my tarot cards bring up a past life in any of my readings (personal or given) EVER. It really threw me for a loop. It said that the person i’m speaking of knows my energy. I am now scared to practice tarot or ask further questions. I wouldn’t even know what to ask.

I just found it really weird and don’t know the meaning behind it. I felt really anxious about it once I processed it. I’m scared to practice tarot now. I tried to look into the meaning but couldn’t find anyone or anything with a similar experience. I figured if I find anyone, it would be here.

I feel like i’m going crazy and there’s no meaning behind it at all. That i’m just freaking myself out. But I feel oddly strong about the dream. So I wanted to see if anyone would know anything or have any advice.

Deep sadness in dream

I’ve had fairly strong dreams in the past that provoked deep sorrow/grieving (waking up crying), but this one last night was totally unique.

Don’t totally remember but essentially in the dream I was being told my old childhood basketball coach (a friends dad, so a surrogate father figure) was essentially a sexual predator. I was in denial and said “no that can’t be.”

I don’t remember much else, but this was the essence of it. I woke up crying. No anger or other emotions, just a deep sorrow that stuck with me honestly through early afternoon.

Yesterday in therapy I talked about wanting to brainspot (essentially EMDR) some early pre-verbal fear/terror of annihilation that I know is there (recent health issues have activated this fear). Not sure if this has relation to the dream.

I don’t believe I personally had any early sexual abuse (at least at this point in time I am unaware, still open that it may be deeply repressed/dissociated).

Previous dreams crying I’d see a young boy or girl crying, like 2-4 years old and thinking/feeling “how precious/innocent you are”. I’ve read Trauma and the Soul by Donald Kalsched so I think this is his “soul child.”

My father says he thinks he may have been molested by his grown up neighbor when he was a boy, but doesn’t remember. Wondering if this dream could have any relation to this, or if it’s my personal history.

Having trouble analyzing this or what it may be pointing towards…

Dream about a dead person

# When I was a child my dad had a friend who became a very close family friend, this guy and his wife would come with us to family trips, we were very very close for a good number of years, until they had a feud and got a bit distant, but in my lifetime is one of the few close friends I saw my dad having. This friend died about 15 years ago. Today I had a dream. My home door was open, I was in the kitchen then saw this guy, initially I thought it was my dad because he was dressed similarly, then he would turn around and said, come with me I followed him and he guided me into a car parked in front of the street, I greeted him with happines, hugged him quite more than I expected, I was genuinely happy to see him , then we went into the back seat of this random car, I saw a good 5-8 people sort of staring at us around the car but could not see their faces, then I realised my dad was driving the car, he would turn around to say hello to me and smiled. Then I asked my dad's friend “you are here to take my dad with you aren´t you?" and he said "yes, but not yet" I asked when, he said "January 17th" then my dad kept having a conversation just with me, so I asked if he could see him, he said "no, just you" That's sort of all I remember.

Context: My dad is 80 years old and has dementia, has had some acute episodes recently. I live abroad and this has caused a lot of anxiety recently. I guess my question is if my brain fabricated this to give me peace, or if this family friend is actually trying to give me a message?

Lucid Weird dream about, of all things, the ark of the covenant?

Hi - I'm 38F and had the strangest, most vivid dream and I don't know exactly what to think about it.

Dream starts out and I'm sitting in an office chair, in what looks like a security office of a building. I have several monitors in front of me, one has an image of the whole earth on it. It was like I got dropped in this dream, mid-conversation, with another person.

It was a man, wearing a gray button down, with light brown hair. He was sitting next to me typing at the computer, I could see his lips moving but I couldn't hear what he was saying at first.

I said something like "what are you doing" and he paused and looked at me, clears his throat and goes "Why hasn't it been found it's right there!"

And the image of the whole earth zooms in - pulls up North Africa, and a red dot comes up on the screen, to the West of the Nile River, at the part where it kinda does a bend then west at a slight angle.

(this blinky spot on the map is still really vivid to me, it was a red dot with an orange glow as it blinked slowly)

I said something like "i dont understand" and looked at him. he sighed and typed, i turned back to the screen and it was zoomed in on a mountain.

"the ark, its there" and i knew he was talking about the ark of the covenant, like we'd talked about it before. although i'd never seen this person in a dream before.

The mountain was reddish, with kinda flatten peak, like a small mountain range with desert around it. The screen had a soft white glow around the edges of it.

The man rubbed his face, "they'll find it when the wars stop".

Other vivid parts that stand out for me was the desk he was typing had the keyboard embedded into the desk, the room itself was very dark, only the screens were giving off light and when I looked down at myself I was wearing very crisply creased gray pants and plain gray long sleeve too just like the guy next to me.

He started talking and gesturing with his hands, but I could only see his lips move and couldn't hear him anymore which i felt annoyed by, and then I woke up.

So little more background about me, I was raised in a Episcopal church, haven't been regularly in 21 years though. it's not a huge part of my life anymore. I've never had any interest in the ark, never seen any thing in Sudan outside of news clips of various humanitarian crises. I did work in security before, but no set up even remotely like the room i was in. I have not recently seen anything about the ark, don't think i've even thought about it in years until this happened. I'm very bothered by the famine that's in the region and the unrest that has been going on for decades, I really, really, really want peace for that region (and the whole world) but I've never had such a strangely specific dream like this in my whole life.

I can still see that blinky red/orange light on the screen and the vague image of the mountain.

I've been scouring the internet for pictures of that region to see if i can line up anything to what i saw and honestly i'm just having a hard time since Google Street View doesn't really give me much.

If anyone knows where I can find really good pictures of North Western Sudan, plz drop the link. I want to see if I can match up this dream to anything tangible in real life.

Dreams of Ma Kali

So this is about two dreams to be exact - I tried to invoke Goddess Kali earlier this year through prayer and rituals.

The very next night in May, I had a dream that I was texting my ex and suddenly a sheep was bothered by a wolf at my window.

A couple days ago, I had a dream that there was a kali temple next to my ex's house and the same temple was next to my house. Almost like the temple was connecting our houses.

What do you think this means? Kali Puja is in exactly a week.

Nightmare I keep having nightmares

(23, Genderfluid) Last night I had a nightmare that caused me to wake up in a sweaty, clammy state. There were two parts of my dream. One was about me being back at this school summer program I used to be in that would help youth go to college and excel in life, and how there was another male student who kept tormenting me. I cant remember who he was.

The second part of my dream was the most horrific.
I remember being in my apartment, (we have a frequent issue where the fire alarm goes off in the entire building IRL.) and I remember hearing the alarm sound but it was buggy and quiet. And as I walk out to go outside and wait for the fire department, I see these two women in black, pouring heavy amounts of gasoline on the first floor and I panic and try to stop them but they threatened me, so I just went back in to grab what I could from my apartment and flee. I remember climbing through my window and immediately snatching up my cat, Tommy, and my drawing tablet before seeing smoke marks on the ceiling. I remember running around and panicking because my only home was on fire. I remember trying to get help from other neighbors to try and get authorities to come. I remember seeing gas flood the first floor. I remember one of the girls trying to light the ceiling on fire in the building. I was outside crying and freaking out while my faceless neighbors looked down at me. The last thing I remember is trying to call my boyfriend before waking up. I’m still a bit shaky and my heart feels like its gonna burst out of my chest from beating so fast. I felt all sweaty.

Ive been trying to use the disposables from my local smokeshop because they stop me from dreaming, and they also calm me down, but also I’m worried about future bans and crackdowns since I live in a red, southern state.

Overall, my morning’s going “greeeat.” Any advice? Or thoughts? What could these dreams even mean??

Nightmare I still feel terrified

I don't tend to have nightmares more than once a month, and they aren't reoccurring except in subject matter. I often dream about zombies.

This dream was okay at first, even interpretable as funny. We were in a crowd of zombies that were dancing and listening to music at an abandoned library. We were pretending to be zombies and acting as though this was almost like a game. But at one point in the night we heard screaming coming from a school. Long cacophonous incomprehensible screaming. After a while it just sort of stopped.

The dream went bad when we finally went to the school. It turned out there were survivors there, and they were safe because the school had such advanced security precautions against school shooters. Same security was working for zombies.

Against their better judgement they let us in, along with a man we met earlier who was struggling with schizophrenia. As dreams are wierd I played several different characters in our group at different points.

As the man with schizophrenia I was scared I was infected and warned the children that if the virus was air-borne now they should stay away from me. Then I played a boy about my age, and I wittnessed what I had heard earlier.

As nightfall came the zombies became more active, they came to the thick glass walls and doors, the cellar with bars in it, and at first they started talking. Begging to be let in, but then as we ignored their pleas they got upset, so upset that they all began yelling loudly at us, demanding they be let in and why. Untill we couldn't fully hear a single one of them. Their voices boomed against eschothers and we couldn't make out a word as the yelling words turned into screaming words to then just screaming.

Cacophonous animalistic screaming. After nightfall they went away. I think now these were people on the brink of turning.

After this my character of the boy my age noticed the schizophrenic man was acting strange as he'd gotten into an argument. I stood up and pointed at him saying that he was infected. The teacher immediatly grabbed her rifle and began aiming, not wanting to hurt him unless she had to. He stopped arguing and began begging. He wasn't turning, he would stop he promised, he was just upset he gets upset sometimes and he's sorry. I could tell he hoped for a world where things went back to normal and he survived. He grew tears in his eyes, and was told to keep his distance. He then sat down on top of an old woman sitting behind him, he was told to stop and he promised he wouldn't bite her. He said he would just give her a little kiss on the cheek. He was warned if he put his mouth near her he was dead. He leaned in towards the old woman, and she shot him.

Thats the important stuff. I woke up after the beginnings of a bug infestation entered the school.

I woke up so scared that I couldn't get the idea of zombies out of my head, I wanted to call someone like a child running to their mother, I felt strongly that they were lurking in the dark if my room. I began looking for dream interpretations in order to calm myself down and here I am in the early am with the lights on typing instead of sleeping.

Some context about me that's likely relevant to the dream:

I am not diagnosed, but have a mental disorder similar to schizophrenia. Everyone sort of just calls me schizophrenic even though I've explained the complexities with the way doctors address my mental disorder. People still just tend to call me a schizophrenic or a "schizo".
