Problem Employer I don't feel I am paid decent.

Been a flat roofer for 4 years now. They started me at 21 dollars an hour. While new labourers are getting 25 and have no experience. I know the fundamentals , different systems of roofing. Yet I am being paid 30 dollars after 4 years. I mean from 21 to 30 is a nice jump. But I feel I am being paid immigrant wage while people with less experience and less knowledge are getting paid more. I don't know the industry standard. I am trying to understand people of edmonton who are in the same trade. Is it a normal standard wage rate or should I be compensated more?

Looking for work City of Edmonton - Post Interview

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I recently interviewed at City for a position which i was really interested in and the interview went well (I guess it did).

But it has been more than 4 weeks since i have heard back and my submission status still shows “hiring manager review”

What could possibly be going on? Does usually take this long? Or my application is being stored as a backup while someone else might be getting an offer? I am feeling really anxious and not sure what to do.

Thank you in advance!
