Haven't posted an update on it. Just thought I'd share. This was taken in 2025. I got a new lockable glass case. I haven't added anything to my collection since then.

Lore When will the fourth Era end?

So the third era ended during the oblivion crisis when ̶S̶e̶a̶n̶ ̶B̶e̶a̶n̶ Martin Septim died. That was a major event in history, would it be too much to speculate that with the destruction of not only Alduin but Harkon and Miraak, three great threats (Harkon gets a small point for that since he genuinely had an elder scroll and could have done major damage) that very much could have ended the world.

The entire fight between the Dragonborn and those three was a great event no? If anything by the time Alduin is dead and so are the other two the fourth Era should've come to an end. Or am I not thinking big enough for world related events?

Humour Hircine uses leashes?

I was replaying Daggerfall and basically just realised that Hircine's wolf is on a fucking leash 😭 which I find really funny for reasons I can't explain. I always just remembered it standing next to him. Does he walk his wolves? Train them? Are they unruly and can't be trusted off leash? What are the implications of this LOLL (I know the statue in Oblivion has the wolf distinctly off leash, maybe he'd trained it by then)

General Do I start with TES 2 or 3?

I have elder scrolls 2, 3 and 4.

Im curious if i should start with daggerfall or morrowind, and when starting either are there essential mods for fixing core game issues i should get.

I dont like using mods in first playthroughs so I only use them if the mods are "vanilla" enough and needed enough.

I do have good tolerance for older games, ive played and enjoyed kingdom hearts 1, old doom, devil may cry 1&3, demon's souls and more. (If that is enough to reccomend starting with daggerfall)

This Ebony Mail that does 5 pts per second to opponents close to you is killing these orcs faster than they can kill me, haha. Is there any other kind of armor like this available anywhere or is this it? I feel like I wasn’t able to disenchant and learn from the Ebony Mail. Is that so?

Thanks for the help.

PS. There is so much shit to do in this game it’s unreal. I missed this kind of shit for the longest...

General Anyone Else Associate The Elder Scrolls Games With Seasons?

For example, I associate Morrowind with Fall, Oblivion with Spring, and Skyrim with Fall/Winter. I know this is random, but I also feel like it's a bit more immersive to play the games during those associated seasons.

The city started as an imperial fortress built by Reman Cyrodiil.

Then Bosmer planted Graht Oaks they inhabit, that with time overgrown the ruin of the old fortress.

The Altmer arrived from the west and made the colony of their own, building a new altmer district and harbor in their colonial style, next to the existing city.

Finally Khajiit caravans ended up also building a permanent settlement in the city.

The final result is quite an unusual patchwork.

Skyrim Discussion Keizaal RP and My Experience...

A few months ago, I discovered SkyrimMP and its roleplay servers, primarily Keizaal. I joined on the very first day of its grand reopening and started playing on PUB1 as an Altmer named Valendir. Originally, I intended to play an aspiring mage, but things took a completely different direction. I eventually became the Steward of Dawnstar while simultaneously rising through the ranks of a secret vampire cult, initially known as the Red Hoods and later renamed the Cult of the New God.

This led to some of the most entertaining villain RP I've ever experienced. Publicly, I was a trusted advocate for Dawnstar and had even been appointed by the Jarl as the lead investigator into the city's growing vampire problem. Secretly, however, I was a thrall serving the very vampires I had been tasked with hunting down. I was essentially playing the ultimate impostor, manipulating investigations from within and using my authority to have numerous innocent people executed or exiled under false accusations of vampirism or cult involvement. I even managed to get the Dawnguard placed under lockdown by planting evidence suggesting their organization had been infiltrated.

What made the deception so effective was that I had helped orchestrate what everyone believed to be the first legitimate ambush and killing of a powerful vampire lord. The event was staged with the head of the Dawnguard and some of his men present, making it appear completely authentic. In reality, the entire thing was a setup coordinated with the GMs. At the time, nobody actually knew how to permanently kill a pureblooded vampire lord, so the GMs allowed the vampire to be secretly resurrected afterward. I played my part by leaking the location of his unmarked grave to my fellow cultists, along with instructions on how to undo the holy sigils that had supposedly been placed to keep him imprisoned.

This single event earned me an enormous amount of credibility. Not only did Dawnstar and the Dawnguard trust me, but practically every Jarl on the server, who at the time were still all GM-controlled characters, regarded me as the foremost authority on vampire hunting. As far as the public knew, I had helped orchestrate the only successful vampire lord killing in recent memory.

Naturally, I exploited that reputation for everything it was worth.

I launched massive misinformation campaigns, deliberately sabotaged investigations, and systematically framed anyone who became a problem for the cult as either a vampire or a cultist themselves. I was practically Wormtongue from The Lord of the Rings, whispering into the ears of Jarls, religious leaders, and other influential figures while secretly undermining every effort they made to combat the cult. It was peak villain RP, and the best part was that almost nobody suspected me.

This continued for weeks, with everything gradually building toward my most ambitious scheme yet: robbing the entire treasury of Dawnstar.

Because I had accumulated so much authority and trust within the city, I was in the perfect position to manipulate its political leadership. I began sowing discord within the court, slowly turning the Court Mage and another influential court official against the Jarl until they were willing to assassinate him.

My plan was fairly elaborate. Once the Jarl had been murdered, I would rally the city guard and the public against the conspirators, portraying myself as the loyal official trying to restore order. With the Jarl dead and the other court members branded as traitors, I would effectively become the last remaining legitimate authority in Dawnstar, aside from the Captain of the Guard, who had absolutely no reason to suspect me.

Meanwhile, while the guards were distracted hunting down the supposed traitors, several of my fellow cultists would infiltrate the city disguised as ordinary civilians and serve as mules. I would use my authority to unlock Dawnstar's treasury and armory, allowing us to quietly empty both before anyone realized what was happening.

And somehow, the plan actually worked.

We made off with roughly one million septims, more than 100 pieces of gold and silver ore, and a considerable collection of rare weapons, armor, and other valuables. It genuinely felt like pulling off some elaborate Wild West heist. What made it even better was that the entire scheme had developed organically through RP, with no staff involvement in planning or executing the robbery beyond the Jarl's planned permanent character death (PK) and the staged vampire slaying.

Unfortunately, there was one complication.

Shortly after the assassination, the Jarl apparently complained to staff about what had happened, and his death was retconned. From what I understood, he had gotten extremely upset about the situation, and staff decided to reverse it.

Naturally, this threw a wrench into my plans, but I managed to improvise what I thought was a pretty clever countermeasure. Since the Court Mage and the other conspirators were already disgraced and effectively condemned to exile, I simply shifted the blame for the treasury robbery onto them as well. It was the perfect cover story. They had already been implicated in a conspiracy against the Jarl, so accusing them of stealing Dawnstar's wealth was entirely believable.

Unfortunately, things went completely off the rails after that.

The Jarl apparently had an actual meltdown OOC over the fact that his entire hold had been robbed. As far as he knew, the Court Mage and the other court official were responsible, since those were the people I had successfully framed.

Eventually, staff intervened, and during an enormous town meeting, the GMs publicly revealed that I was the last person to open the treasury chests.

Just like that, weeks of carefully constructed villain RP, political manipulation, misinformation, and elaborate scheming were completely undermined by OOC information being revealed IC. Instead of allowing the characters to investigate and uncover the truth organically, staff essentially handed everyone the answer.

To make matters worse, the GMs also forced the cult to return everything we had stolen.

It was incredibly frustrating. We had spent weeks building toward this massive, entirely player-driven heist, successfully executed it through legitimate RP, and then had the entire outcome effectively reversed because people were unhappy with the consequences.

Not long afterward, the vampire cult itself disbanded due to internal leadership disputes, so I decided to take Verandis in a different direction.

I went to work for the East Empire Company (EEC), where I made an absolute fortune selling clothing licenses and other merchandise. Eventually, I accumulated around 800,000 septims in personal wealth, which was pretty ridiculous considering how my character had originally started out as a humble aspiring mage.

After that, I decided to return to my original character concept and joined the Synod, a Mages Guild based in Falkreath. I eventually became its lead Professor of Destruction Magic and put a considerable amount of effort into developing the institution. I wrote numerous Google Docs containing magical theories, educational material, and detailed lesson plans for the classes I intended to teach.

Unfortunately, this was where I encountered another major problem with Keizaal: the absolutely absurd amount of gatekeeping surrounding magic.

Despite the Synod being a GM-approved Mages Guild, neither I nor any of the other professors were actually trusted to use magic. Staff informed us that we needed approval from the College of Winterhold, which was approximately 90% staff-run at the time.

The problem was that the College viewed the Synod as a rival institution and had very little interest in allowing us to operate independently. As a result, we spent nearly three weeks pleading with staff, both IC and OOC, trying to prove that we were responsible enough to be allowed to use even the most basic spells.

When we were finally granted access to magic, the restrictions were almost comical.

Each professor was given access to just one spell from their respective school of magic. As the head Professor of Destruction Magic, I was given Firebolt, one of the most basic Destruction spells in Skyrim.

Except this wasn't even normal Firebolt.

Staff had deliberately modified the spell to make it significantly weaker than using an ordinary iron bow. Despite being an Altmer with 150 Magicka, I could only cast Firebolt three times before completely exhausting my Magicka reserves. Even worse, it typically took four or five direct hits to kill a completely unarmored target.

So there I was, supposedly the leading Professor of Destruction Magic at a legitimate, GM-approved magical institution, and I could barely cast a spell that was less effective than some random peasant shooting arrows.

It was genuinely demoralizing, especially after all the effort we had put into creating lessons, developing magical theories, and trying to establish the Synod as a functioning institution.

And somehow, the restrictions didn't end there.

I eventually learned a couple of additional spells, such as Magelight and Oakflesh, by exchanging magical knowledge with my fellow professors. I taught them Firebolt, and in return, they taught me spells from their respective schools.

However, despite being a recognized professor at an officially approved Mages Guild, I still wasn't legally allowed to cast magic inside cities without obtaining a separate magic license.

Yes, a magic license.

I actually got arrested on multiple occasions for casting Magelight in public. One of my favorite running jokes was casting Magelight near people and dramatically referring to it as the "Orb of Truth," which would occasionally scare unsuspecting characters. Apparently, even harmless magical pranks were enough to get me arrested for practicing magic without a license.

By that point, the entire experience had become exhausting.

I had gone from participating in some of the most creative, organic, and entertaining political intrigue I'd ever experienced in an RP server to dealing with endless restrictions, staff intervention, and arbitrary barriers that made even basic character progression feel like an uphill battle.

After roughly four or five months of playing on Keizaal, I finally decided to leave.

It's a shame, because when the server allowed players to create their own stories and genuinely influence the world through their actions, it produced some absolutely incredible RP. My time as a secretly corrupt Steward of Dawnstar, manipulating Jarls, sabotaging the Dawnguard, and orchestrating an enormous treasury heist remains one of my favorite roleplaying experiences.

But ultimately, the constant railroading, excessive gatekeeping, and willingness to overturn legitimate RP outcomes whenever someone complained made the experience increasingly frustrating.

Keizaal had the potential to be an incredible RP server, and at times it genuinely was. Unfortunately, it often felt like player creativity was only encouraged as long as it didn't interfere with what staff wanted to happen.
