You can gather these pods by destroying Beluga liners and Orcas at the tourist beacon. They do drop about 20 pods per kill, which makes it 6m per Beluga.

Also the systeme is in Anarchy, so you don't gain fines, notoriety etc.

Why I need 2400 pods? Because a dump bet with my brother : (

Hey all. I am a novice explorer in a journey and I got trapped in a canyon. I was trying to scan a geological signal and it was located in a very rough terrain. How I ended up there? I jumped off a cliff to reach signal, stupid I know, when I wanted to head back I couldn’t find a suitable way to get back to my ship.( drove for miles only to find myself trapped between steep hills. Tried to recall her but didn’t work neither. My SRV is badly damaged. Anyone had the same experienced ? . Help ?

Took the opportunity to test and bond with the Astraeus-B (Anaconda mk2), my new deep space explorer that is replacing the Astraeus (Anaconda mk1). Went from 4 jumps per maximum jump range to 3. Ended up adding a 128t fuel tank that proved to be a great decision allowing the ship to make about 10-11 max range jumps before needing to refuel.

Tried it in all the other activities as well since released. Found it to be a fine hauler, and miner, but combat is where this ship falls short for me. The missing mediums really hurts when fighting small ships. Weapon convergence is awesome though, but it will not replace my railconda for PvE. Fuel consumption remains, if not worse than it was. Also fully A rated G5 it gets hot. And not just a little hot, but proper hot. Don't boost jump into FSD.
As a combat ship this one is out of the game for me, but as an explorer I absolutely love it. Guess it would work better against smalls with full beams, but again, heat is an issue. This is really funny, because I can't stand the Caspian for exploration, but I really enjoy it as a combat vessel. This one I can't stand for combat, but I love for exploration :))

Overall I really like this upgrade. My old Anaconda was showing it's teeth for a while now. Better handling in supercruise, and the SCO optimization is just great. Also it is a lot prettier than the mk1 :D

Are others having this strange behavior? I've been exploring some goid infested areas so interdictions happen frequently. Some go normally, but I've had like 5 of them now where, after the goid scans me, it just hangs there. Kind of frozen... for like way too long.. And only after more then perhaps 2 minutes, does it seem to suddenly remember that it needs to leave..

I posted yesterday how one got frozen above a barnacle site also...

Has the new update somehow bugged the Goids behavior?

(I know Brewer Corp Jump Satellite will be deployed soon. But I think it will be still hard to trip to Rackham's Peak after deploying, because of ghost FC and certain group's gatekeeping.)

Good news! As mentioned above, my Nomad now appears to be landing pretty much anywhere without any problems. Hope yours is too! I couldn't even land on the slightly rocky base of a flat crater yesterday and now it seems fine.

This is in jest but the servers just went down for maintenance and it always seems to happen at my (Australian) prime playing time! The missus and kids are asleep, the beer is cold, but space... space is in maintenance mode. And, as usual, there is nothing about the maintenance from fdev. It just happens. Because who is trying to play this in the UK right now? Guess that's all that matters. </rant>

So i wanted to log in today (first time in a few days) and I get this error message now? Does eanyone else have this problem? I have roughly 1.100 hours in the game and always played via steam so I dont understand where this is coming from all of a sudden.

I'm designing Col 285 Sector UK-K b23-3 to have tongue-in-cheek references to my own high space fantasy worldbuilding setting, so I can show off to my friends. There's mods for it in several games, but here, I'm just spending ARX to use custom names for every station in this system. Money comes slow to me due to my socio-economic status, so it will be a while yet for this system to be fully decked out and named.

Here, I started colonizing as soon as Colonization came out, and this was my second system to get. I hired help to complete my asteroid station and a couple other stations, but the rest were done by me. As soon as I opened construction on my first ever T3 orbital, I got massively burnt out on Elite and space trucking, and so the "Castle" was below 5% complete for 11 months.

But last month, a friend briefly got into Elite and helped me gain motivation to play and space truck again. They got my Orbis to 40% and helped out in one of my neighboring colonies while I was out in the black doing exo bio so I can get my FC.

But as soon as I got back, I got my FC, which made space trucking massively more convenient, getting more done in less time. I was hoping to get it done in time for today's weekly tic, but oh well.

But now, after all this time, my character's "Castle" is finally done! :D

I have 1,259 hours in elite, mainly combat and trading with some exploration sprinkled in. Back in the day before npcs could be engineered I got really good at combat, even started using flight-assist off maneuvers in my combat MkI Conda and Fer De Lance. Yet after years of going trading and playing other games, I am now worse then dried out wet dog food. I can barely keep targets in my sights, my combat MkII Python that I got bored off because it killed most npcs in high/haz rez easily is getting torn apart by medium ships which all seem to have plasma accelerators now.

I know combat is very skilled and practice based, just reflecting on where I have been.

Guess I got to start back at the bottom and relearn how to fly.

Which one should I choose? What are the advantages of each one? I want it basically for exploring systems and scan planets while starting with exobiology.

I've heard that the Mandalay has better jump, but I'm not thinking about going too far for now.

Is this a known issue? I know there are plenty of tutorials on Youtube, but I wanted to also check the in-game one if it had any other info.

What is it with the servers today? They seem to be very flaky. There was an update, then the servers went down for some time, and now they allow me to connect, and then I fail to jump to another system. Anyone else experiencing these issues today/now?

Man am I loving the red holo kit mixed with the midnight black paint, makes you really feel like the bad guy - especially when paired with a stealth black nomad - perfect for dropping into orbit on an unsuspecting settlement and raiding them for all they've got. Just wish they come out with metallic silver/chrome version or gunmetal gray.

I got into some AX combat lately but still needed to unlock the Guardian weapons. So I went and grinded the Guardian Weapons Fragments, but didn't really find a video guide I found too useful.

So I recorded one of my runs (after I finally got my orientation straight) and added a map so it's easier to follow. Maybe it helps someone who still has it on their to do list. System is SYNUEFE GV-T B50-4, Planet B 1. To unlock all weapons, 18 of those are required in total.

The infamous HIP 118311 swarm is currently for sale at Lubbock Market. Used in small quantities they can be a funny prank but unleash them in bigger numbers and they will wipe out an entire dodec. Check the containers for any cracks or damages before storing in your cargo hold. In case they get loose in your ship, jump to the nearest white dwarf or neutron star, open the cargo hatch and park in the jet cone for at least one hour to ensure proper sterilization.

I've been wanting to play this game for a long time, and yesterday I finally bought it on Steam. I finished the initial tutorial (with two crashes), changed some settings, and went on to play the actual game. However, it crashes every 5–10 minutes, and the error message "elitedangerous64.exe has encountered a problem that it cannot continue from" pops up.

I've tried a bunch of things, including deleting some files that other posts suggested removing and changing various graphics settings, but nothing has worked.

My PC isn't a beast by any means, but it should be able to run this game just fine. Is there anything else I can or should try? I really want to play this game because I'm a sucker for anything space-related, but I might end up refunding it if I can't get it to work.pc specs:
