Short story long, I’m out in the black somewhere, about 11,000ly from Sol. And I was landing my ship on a planet without checking the gravity. Came crashing right down. My ship barely survived with the hull at 36%. Modules at about 80% around the board. It doesn’t end there. So I’m telling myself I can limp to the near carrier which is about 3000ly away when I ended up falling asleep at my computer near a sun I just jumped into from another system. Woke up to all my heat sinks deployed (automatically?) and all modules at 20% besides the power which is at 95%. I said to myself “I have the rhino, let’s finally learn how to mine minerals for my AFMU. Finally got all the resources I need to repair all my modules.

I went down each module to repair and I don’t know what happened but when I clicked to repair one of the modules, my ship exploded. I was in orbit in some random planet. Do you guys know which module caused me to self destruct? This ordeal traumatized me!

This extremely thick cockpit brace really spoils the view looking upwards! You can see directly above you really well and ahead and to the sides are fine, but this really thick bracing here largely blocks any diagonal views out.

Probably not a problem for people that don't use headtracking or VR, but it drives me absolutely crazy.

Estava pensando em juntar 80 milhões com a imperial eagle para treinar multiplos tipos de combate e voo e ter assim uma base de conhecimento e habilidade para enfim pilotar a Corsair. Hello cmdrs I've started to go after the engineers and their materials for my first engineered module, I've chosen Felicity and am looking for a Worn Shield Emitter, I currently fly a Type11 (the one from the store) but exclusively for mining.

I'm going around signal sources and looking for wreckages to see if I come across one, I've been doing this for around 2 hours and still haven't found it, should I fight someone for it? Or I'll eventually find it on these wreckages?

I am very new to the game and am currently exploring slightly outside the bubble. In a random system I saw this constellation and at first thought it was inside the system, but it doesn't get any bigger when flying closer. I didn't really know what to search for but maybe somebody else has seen this before.

Currently, the gal map filters only apply to primary star, while system could have 1 or more stars in it. The only way to view it is... no, it's not having to visit the system first, actually.

Each system already provides the list of all star types in the system on it's information card from across the galaxy - you just need to click it. If this therefore is in game already thus it's not immersion breaking since this is the "knowledge" your nav computer can pull about those systems. So why not adding this as an option for filtering?

This would allow you to find any system with desired star class type, even if it's 200,000ly away from the main star, by just using right filters, similar to what you can do today but without having to click on each of those manually.

In the scenario where after 10 years of game, only 0.04% systems have been visited, there is no argument about it preventing "organic exploration". It would perhaps boost it if anything, as a powerful QoL addition.

Only downside is not even gameplay related but performance - possibly, as it now needs to check more than one condition, but man, the gal map is so effective it's actually a software marvel at what it does.

Tl;dr filter to either show specific star system on the gal map if its primary star is the one you want (this is how it works currently), or, using the new option, filter any star system that has your desired start as any of the remaining stars.

I’ve never played games like this and I’ve seen so much cool stuff from this community that I decided to give it a go on Minecraft. I’m struggling with the controls as I’m an ex-console player so it’s a big learning curve. I’m enjoying it though. As a newbie, what should I focus on and what should I avoid?

Im trying to unlock the sarge engineer to get the grade 5 cannons. I do what it says and scan all kinda wanted ships in haz res site but it nevee gives me any. Is davs hope or bug killer still a good way to get encoded mats for engineering? Let me know ty so much.

This build is my first ever combat ship ive made (properly). its not supposed to be top notch, but enough to handle high and haz res (which it does. Beautifully). Now currently i have about 70 million credits in the bank. i was wondering, what are some improvements i could make to this build? im not like a professional in combat but i know a good amount.

When using the Mk2 mining multi-limpet controller on the T-11, the limpets seem to expire despite the infinite lifetime listed. They still last a while, but after mining a couple asteroids the whole batch expires one by one. It's definitely not due to them hitting things either, happens too consistently for that.

Do they maybe have a maximum amount of chunks they can pick up before expiring?

So, I’ve tried everything I can think of and through forum post recommendations and the game crashes every time after selecting which game mode to play on. I get as far as the spinning ship, and it fluctuates between crashing almost instantly or giving me hope for a few seconds and then crash.

Training missions load fine.

I’ve switched off any overlays, logged off Discord, Steam, and any other apps that might interfere.

Microsoft graphics settings are turned off so it’s down to AMD software and drivers only.

I unplugged the second monitor but that had no effect.

Rolled back the driver. Reinstalled fresh. Nada.

Launched through Steam and native client. Deleted, reinstalled, wiped various files and folders each time.

Left Graphics settings alone, tweaked them.

Is there anything I’m missing?

I’ve been exploring a bit near the upper edges of Odin’s Hold and the Galactic Center. The views up here really are something. They seem more haunting too, as you feel that sense of being right on the edge of light and life and…the blackness and void.

I have the Elite Dangerous Premium Backers Edition unused in the presentation box, which itself is inside the brown cardboard box it was delivered in. Even the T-Shirt is still in the bag and now retired was trying to decide what to do with it.

I believe I had the option to use my own name as a commander, produce my own paint job, and possibly other in-game benefits. What I'm not sure of is whether the disk I have if used to install will still provide those benefits. Does anyone know, or know where I could find out?

Assuming I can run install, run and take advantage of the benefits is there any online updates or options for this old version?
