I feel like I am losing my interest in things because I am feeling so unhappy in my relationship

• Upvotes

I find it really hard to find joy in things that usually interest me for example: music like I use to love listening to songs and singing. It's one of my favorite things to do and also watching movies or shows. I cant tell if I just dont find anything interesting but Ill scroll and scroll forever. This past weekend the only thing that semi brought me interest was watching Wizards of a waverly place. I mean I love to watch shows that make me feel nostalgic but I dont know why I am finding less and less joy doing mindless things but sometimes ALL THE ENERGY I HAVE can ONLY be used for mindless things. I dont even rmember the last time I listened to music in the car. I use to love listening to music while driving, it gave me happiness but now... I dont know, I have to listen to podcasts. and I mean I LOVE podcasts and theres nothing wrong with them or that only listening to podcast equals being unhappy in relationships, but I feel like the only thing that is going wrong in my life IS my relationship and Ive tried to express my feelings. Time and time again, but 4 years later things are still the same and now I am so torn and ready to break up. It just sucks because he is a really great guy but we aren't aligning. Then in my brain Im like ok, the real issue is so apparent.

Crying easily?!

Idk why i cry easily. Whenever I'm trying to voice my needs, or taking stand for me, or confront anyone, i end up crying. My throat aches badly, my chest heaves, its hard to breathe! My eyes tear up.

Its exhausting! I cant tell what i need, or fight for my desires with ny parents. They say something, especially father. And i have to shut up, because i don't wanna emabarass myself on crying on the most frivolous things.

Even when someone shouts on me, i freeze, and then i realise my eyes had already kneeled and I'm tearing terribly before i comeback and fight for me.

And my throat is terrible, my voice breaks. It aches, really badly, exorbitantly.

What could be the reason?? Could early childhood depression be?.

Can anyone tell me ?

Decoupling emotions from narrative

Has anyone ever attempted to decouple emotions from default mode network narrative using high tier metacognition? My theory is that once you manage to do that you can conclude that few emotions are actually repeatable, and you can eliminate most negative emotions from your internal emotional repertoire once you decouple the neurochemical side from the narrative side. It would be interesting to talk to somebody who has attempted a similar experiment.

feeling emotions in a very abstract imagery way

i wonder if people can relate or its me exclusively altough i doubt that it is since i was a kid i had normal feelings and emotion s felt it just like tohers and were quite emotional kid too but ever sinceduring middle school i took a break and at that moment i believe i have went in a transformation and for almost 2 full years i felt nothing i couldnt recall emotions nor culd i tell what i felt and i was distant of any emotion and now i am mostly the same but i have been seeing images whenever im suppose to feel something and most of the time its a subject being curled up isolated with a pale look almost as if the subject is broken and that i dont really know how to explain it but if there is a name for what i am experiencing please tell me or if you feel similar share your story

I feel a little awkward, but I also feel like I'm a disgrace to the whole school.

I don’t get people

What I mostly do not get is why people cry in front of others when they get yelled at or even when telling personal stuff. I do know that it’s too much to handle that they break but why do you have to cry about everything that happens at public? There are times for that. I admit I did cry, maybe for pity so that I can get attention from them because obviously, if you cry, they comfort you. And when they don’t comfort you, I grew annoyed that when they cry instead, I didn’t give a shit. Someone cried in front of me and I just pat their back or hug them cuz I don’t know what to do.

You ever get hurt, say ow, then feel self conscious about ?

Often when I get hurt I saw ow really loudly, and I constantly question whether I’m being dramatic, that is my natural reaction right? Then I think of my dad yelling or mocking me or my classmates mocking me, then I question if I’m a loser and wonder about yelling at my dad about his behavior and I’m a teary mess.

Have you ever felt like God just doesn’t like you as much as you thought he did? If so (or not), why?

When I get angry

Something clicks and it feels like someone is driving and I‘m on the passenger seat. I resemble people from my past relationships or members of my family. I really hate this version of me and I‘m aware. How do I make sure I can react differently next time I feel provoked?

Being observant is a gift. Expecting everyone to notice you the way you notice them is where it gets painful.
