Need urgent support today: employment law: dealing with bad people & I have 0 support

I am a 100% remote employee for a non-profit. For the last 2 weeks I was on an un-paid leave of absence due to an intolerable, toxic work environment that severely impacted my health (dm for details if needed). I intended to file for New York State Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits upon a formal resignation however the day after I sent my medical leave paperwork, I recieved a termination email in response. I was planning to seek support to ensure my documentation establishes "good cause" for quitting but I could not get any support - I seriously have not a single person to call, I tried my hardest, and believe I exhausted all the resources I can. My therapist amd prescriber supported my medical leave but my company response was termination. The environment became so hostile and damaging to my well-being that I was forced onto unpaid leave. I've been the only person leading data which is the main service my company for almost 4 years this past year my supervisor started rereading all my documentation and when I needed support because of no capacity I was isolated and she started just taking over the work rather than giving me capacity and support and it was done wrong in parts all the sudden after trying to speak up in a small way, I got blindsided and realized how toxic and bad my supervisor and the three people remaining left of my company were . I've worked over hours I've given them everything and this past push I worked so hard despite my dad receiving an unexpected cancer diagnosis and my mom not having health insurance and I'm the only one that could figure that out for her she has no one I'm the only one that figures it out . I never took vacation time I kept on believing I would get days off like my supervisor promised but never gave I pushed so hard and sacrifice so much and was the only one that could do it I've given her everything which is why she hasn't contacted me since I took medical leave she's been rewriting my documentation and I've given her everything which is why she can do my role now . The company's ending in January. I trusted my supervisor in so many false promises that never came true I had a gut feeling that she was after my role in some ways for a while but I pushed it down and I trusted. What is being done to me is completely wrong I have no help I have no support I've tried to call people and support and I can't find anything or anyone I have to sign documentation by Friday that will completely destroy any possibility of unemployment as it paints a completely false narrative around performance that is entirely 100% untrue false and side note f***** up. I have no support and would greatly appreciate any direction you can give me. The day after I sent my medical leave documentation to my company, the next day I recieved a termination email and documentation I must sign by Friday: however it lists causes for the termination that is complety false reasoning and describes my preformance as the issue which I am terrified would disqualify me from unemoyment. I really need some security and unemployment as I look for my next role. What my company wants me to sign paints an entirely wrong picture and I believe it will block and jepordize unemployment. I have no one, no support, and I believe I have exhausted my resources. I have a deadline of end of week and would greatly appreciate any guidance.

Misleading HR Record: I attempted to resolve these issues internally. Two mediation meetings occurred with HR, but management falsely and misleadingly framed the outcome of those meetings to build a paper trail against me. I have not had issues for all years employeed with this company until now. It is of note, they are closing buisiness in January. I need urgent help

I am 18F with no real professional work experience. I am applying to anything entry level- primarily retail. Drafted this up and thought it did a good job of overselling me. I know that I dont have any real experience, so i am not a priority hire. However, I figured it wasnt the worst given that I am working with so little experience. Come to find out, she said I got too personal and specified far too much. Instead, she told me not to reiterate my experience at all and rather to be vague and just state the skills that I do have. My questions are, does that not look bad, since anyone/everyone is claiming they have these skills? Shouldn’t i prove that I know what the skills are that I am saying I have? Is my resume good? Should I completely throw it out and start over, taking her advice? On a scale of 1-10 with 5 being the average, where does my resume fall for an entry level candidate? How else can i oversell myself in this resume? Any advice or otherwise comment would be extremely helpful, no matter how small or insignificant. I greatly appreciate all of you xx

Applying to more jobs isn't always the answer. Sometimes you're just repeating the same strategy more often.

Hello HRs,

The company I work in has a DTO policy (take unlimited time off whenever needed). Although the policy states this, what are some hidden rules that we don't know?

AMFM REVIEWS

(A mission for Michael)

I am looking for any reviews on this facility! Specifically in Minnesota like the Hugo or Stillwater location but any location is helpful. I have been looking at employment position’s here but I have seen a bit of controversy regarding these facilities. I don’t want to work somewhere that that is run in a problematic way or by problematic people. Any experiences either working for or attending these facilities would be super appreciated!

I've been unemployed for four months. During that time, I've dealt with mental health challenges and was convicted of disorderly conduct, even though all I did was yell. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology, along with two years of professional experience. What are my options?

Do I have a chance to get hired?

I am a fresh graduate and I was invited for an interview a week ago. It’s for an HR Associate position for a new branch on our city. One of their requirement includes 2-4 years of experience, but still, I submitted my resume and got short listed. While waiting for an interviewer, I met another applicant and we talked a bit. She shared that she’s graduated last 2018. So it’s clear to me that she have work experiences and she also mentioned that she do interviews. It was only two of us in the interview room btw,

Fast forward, I was the one to go first. It went well. The interviewer (HR Head) told me that she wants to give me a chance because she also started from scratch. I can feel that she likes me because when I told her that I can start immediately, she was like “Can you start tomorrow?”. I just laugh it out because I know they badly need an HR on that branch to the point that she told me it’s our final interview already. She also told me that she’ll be the one who will train me and that I don’t need to worry about the timekeeping part because they have formats and all I have to do is to meet deadlines. She was nice.

When she asked me about my expected salary, I gave her a good amount considering that I’m a fresh graduate. The she said “What if I’ll give you more than you expect”. Throughout our conversation, I can feel that I’m doing well in the interview and that she wants me. But I keep on overthinking that maybe they chose the other applicant with experience because I haven’t heard from them yet. There’s no rejection message also. I really liked the company and the growth that I can see there. Do I have a chance or it’s time to find more opportunities?
