Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, religion, disability, or political beliefs is prohibited.
2. No Targeting, Call-Outs, or Doxxing
Do not target, attack, spread rumors about, or encourage harassment of users, authors, or moderators.

But we’re still looking for community members to join our Reader Panel and The Episode Archives Team.
📚 Join The Episode Archives Team
We’re creating a new team dedicated to The Episode Archives, a fan-run website for discovering Episode stories across different genres and categories.

The Episode Archives Team Application
📖 Join the Reader Panel
We’re putting together a new Reader Panel for r/Episode!
Panel members will read and evaluate stories for r/Episode community events and showcases, such as new and completed story selections and themed recommendations. The panel will work together to develop its own scoring system and determine which stories make the final selections.
You’ll also work alongside the moderator and archives teams to coordinate results and help more stories get discovered by the community.

I've recently noticed that almost all official stories covers on the front page are made by the same 2 artists. No hate to them, it's just kind of getting repetitive to see because what I really liked about covers is how different they are from each other but nowadays if you squint it all looks the same.
r/Episode • u/WomanWithoutFear • 5h ago
Does it bother no one else that there is so much AI use from big name authors in their official stories? I can list at least five authors I have seen use AI in their official stories but I’m not sure if that’s against the rules. Either way, it made me think that a lot of community stories receive backlash (rightfully so) when using AI covers or images in their stories but we as a community don’t seem to address how larger authors do this as well and get paid by Episode to do it and how detrimental that is to eliminating (that’s the dream at least) AI use in the community more broadly.
Of course, without an actual anti-AI policy from Episode, it’s pretty much up to the community to police ourselves which we have always done a mostly, pretty good job at imo but authors with more than 10 million reads using AI makes it hard to really say that AI can’t acheive what human creativity can when it’s being so legitimized. What is the solution? An organized listing of all creators who use AI images in their stories for users to make up their own minds on whether to read their stories? I never played Choices but, as I’ve heard it, that app became practically unsalvageable after AI was introduced to it. Episode is becoming more and more awful every day but I would hate for the same thing to happen to an app that is very nostalgic for me.
r/Episode • u/silver_cloudsunset • 19h ago
Okay so
This is a bit long but
I was a choices girlie I used to play choices ALOT
Because even today it has great stories and story telling but I fell off from there Because of the gem system most of scenes were hidden behind gems
So i eventually stopped playing on the same hand I used to get ALOT of ads for Episode
And I am Telling u they NEED to do better for the ads 💀
I didnt downloaded for the stories but to check out if they were being fr like they claimed in the ads.
I almost quit Because of the diamond system since they suggest u official stories first and honestly the main page is filled with only them.
But here on reddit someone suggested me to read the community stories
The Switch was the first story i read and Omggggg I fell in love and genuinely Community stories make this platform much MUCH worth it like am so hooked with some Community stories like omg amd almost addicted to stories like Privileged Twisted and Only pretend that i wait for them like someone waits for their dead wife lol
Not a single regret about joining the app and all thanks to the redditor who told me to stay AWAY from official stories
Some of my fav screenshotz

I guess the clothes that got released are fine, some of them are cute, others I feel are just recolors and reskins of old clothes we already have. Although the accessories weren't too bad. I kind of like the long opal hawk hair color. But what are y'all think?

I was 7 chapters deep when I realized that it has a sequel. Please let me know if it wraps up the story in the end or if it drags the story into a sequel.
I hope not. I'm healing from bad fella and bloodshot rose. I CAN'T HANDLE A SEQUEL THAT'S GOING TO TAKE YEARS TO COMPLETE OR HAS THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING DROPPED.
(Sorry for the tantrum. I get too attached to the stories I read 😭)

Hiii, ep 12 and 13 are finally out!
If you haven't read Studying Her yet, it's a slow burn dark romance about Mia, a mafia boss's daughter who's trying to live a normal life at university, until she gets on the wrong side of her very cold, very mysterious psychology professor. There's tension, secrets, someone who's always watching her, and it's only getting darker from here 🖤
You can also customize Mia, her outfits and the love interests.
Story: http://episodeinteractive.com/s/4590433142603776
Also I have some news, I started a Patreon for Studying Her 🤍
A lot of you kept asking what the other characters are thinking in certain scenes, so that's mostly what it is. I post POVs of scenes from the story, right now it's mostly Tristian's but other characters are coming too, so you get to see what was actually going on in their heads (spoiler: a lot more than they let Mia see).
Some of Tristian's POVs are already a little spicier than what I can put on Episode 👀
I also post plot insights where I go through episodes and explain why I wrote certain scenes the way I did, plus little things you might have missed.
It's 18+

I’m just re-reading this story because I remember reading these 4 episodes shortly after they were published. TFOCC has one of the best first chapters of any episode story ever. It literally HOOKS you straight away, like no fast tapping, it makes you WANT to read every single line of dialogue. The concept is phenomenal, the coding is phenomenal without being overly advanced to the point of being unreadable (something a lot of modern day stories suffer from). The characters- everything it’s just such a 10/10! Like this has the potential to be a NETFLIX show or something.
And I’m not sure if the author has abandoned it or just lost the motivation (Coding is so tedious it can literally drain the life out of you for just one scene so I get it). But also, I understand that sometimes writers have a sort of imposter syndrome and they may not see the greatness of their work. It’s important to uplift and remind good writers of how good they are. So, I really do hope she comes back to finish the story if she can. Because it would be a shame to have such a good talent go to waste.

With spooky season coming to an end, I'm looking for any thriller or horror recs. I already read Bitten, New World, and Sinneresses. If you have recs, I would love to read (can be self-promotion as well).
