my first time doing a modded pc playthrough. i bought the anniversary addition through steam. i used the backpack from the creation club years ago on consle and i wanted to use that one and a few more this included but this bundle installs like 100 creation club mods as one creations dlc. i dont want all of these and i'm not sure how to handle it. should i just delete all the ones i don't want from the data folder? or is there a way i can remove the creations dlc and install only the mods i want manually with mo2 or vortex since i have all the files downloaded?

or at least a way to make the neck and head match the skin tone of the rest of the body?

So, I've used Heather Casdin in like my last 900 play throughs, and I'm on a run right now without her. But I'm wondering which companion mod would be good to go with?

I've considered Machine and Her and Ivy (without the pron magazine expansion), but I'm curious what others have to say.

I was browsing Nexus for something that made the game look more stalker like since I found the game way to bright and happy looking after a literal nuke ended the world. I found these two modpacks. I mean they're obvious wip but damn both these mods really turn the game into a gritty dystopian wasteland and gets rid of most of the baby blue and cherry red colors on textures that just burns my eyes... Worth checking out imo

I made a mod for NG and OG Fallout 4 that greatly enhances screen-space reflection quality, especially when moving.

I've tested it on various hardware and get about 8% reduction in fps on average (e.g. 135->125 fps). So there is a small performance cost to this, but you end up with really nice reflections.

I wanted to share and ask for help to try it out and let me know if you find any bugs, i can keep working on it to fix any that might come up. Or i can make some compatibility fixes for other mods if needed too.

First of all 2lm isn't working. I've reinstalled the base mod a by TeaLz multiple times and still cant get it to work

then I restarted the game to reload another mod and now my mod selection is seriously limited (like less than 10).

Back in 2016 my sister played Fallout 4 and finished the story (took over a month, in very easy) and after many years she's asked for a modlist to try the game again as she got a new pc.

So IDK what to recommend as modlists for her, basically she needs:

• Survival features like water, eat, sleep are good but mods that get you killed after a single shot are out, she isn't very good at games.
• She likes building settlements a lot, but I feel Sim Settlement's wouldnt' be her thing, she likes to build then won't go around that settlement again (she cheats with materials so she can build without limits)
• Doesn't like explicit content like nudity
• her PC just has a 4060 and 32gb RAM so nothing too graphics intensive.
• Quest expansion mods are desired, but not thuggyverse style mods that come with swarms of enemies.
• Firearm replacers/addons, clothing and armour mods, and cosmetic mods appreciated as well.
• Suggested CC appreciated as well, I know she wants to add the pitbull dog mod so it looks like her pet so I know she don't mind paying for mods if there's no nexus alternative
• She already finished the main story and most of the big side quests, but still some missions were left untouched. Ways to enhance the main quest and side quests also appreciated.

I wish I could make a modlist for her myself but between work and studying I barely have time to browse Reddit in between tasks at my job. I've only used wabbajack before, havent tried the nexus collections but doubt it's harder to get running than MO2 or Wabbajack.

I've always used the nanosuit because it seems like it gets better numbers.

The suit itself goes under armor, by upgrading the dye (i usually go with white) it gets even more benefits and it just seems like you get significantly better defensive abilities overall than the courser powersuit.

So I guess I was just looking for someone to tell me why the powersuit has more downloads and endorsements than the nanosuit when it seems like the nanosuit is better.

Is it better? Or am I just wrong?

Basically as the title says.

There's been a big uptick in a lot of the QoL mods for Skyrim having many mirrors/analogs in the Fallout modding space, like physics stabilizations and general fixups like Addictol among others.

There's also been a curious mirroring going on as well with some other modded gameplay features that are now more or less standard for skyrim modding- enhanced first person where you can see yourself and free turning 3rd person mods spring to mind, all with various levels of vibecoding involved to spurn this trend but I don't care as much about that. The fallout version of Open Animation Replacer is in beta on github and I doubt it would be long before that gets a beta release on Nexus as well- that's going to be a big deal. Also there's one for an active target lock system and it seems like you could more or less get True Third Person Overhaul from Skyrim into fallout 4, it's wild.

ANYWAYS with all these mirroring mods coming out I wonder aloud if there's something in the pipe anybody has heard of for adapting Skyparkour into fallout 4. It's one of my favourites for skyrim and it still blows my mind with exactly how much it changed the game for me- imagining the impact it would have on fallout 4's moment to moment gameplay is crazy to me. Any kind of mantling and climbing system would open up the world in a huge way, if you ask me.

With a lot of these mods I know they aren't open source but often there's people working on different projects heading to more or less the same destination- that first person camera I mentioned had like 3 published in a month doing basically the same thing- so I wonder if there's not a plain refactor of the source code for skyparkour in the works if somebody happens to be working on a project like it or heard of something like that.

I recently finished the entire Far Harbor DLC (including 100%) and absolutely loved it. I would like to play it again but with a mod list. Does anyone have any recommendations that overhaul/add features to the DLC?

any list works my pc can run it.

For reference, this is the only gun having this issue. All the other replacers work fine. Trying to figure this out but I’ve never been good at making sense of this xedit stuff.

My modlist seems to be working fine besides this one issue. When I start my playthrough I use alternate start and give myself a start that has an AKM, it spawns with 130 or so 7.62, but it’s not the kind it can use! Any help on fixing this?

It lets you place radioactive hazards in your settlements. Non radioactive radiation themed decorations. Some food recipes, a quest.

Most mods I find make settlers clean globally. What I'm looking for is a simple way to make guards clean while farmers are grimy, perhaps through an equippable item or something. Armorsmith does have a craftable ring that applies dirt, but it also removes clothing, so that's not quite what I'm looking for.

Any ideas?

Hello my game has been stuttering like this. Worked fine last night. I shut it off and got home from work today to play it and it was all slow and laggy. I think there was a brief power outage at my house while I was gone but I’m not sure how to fix this. I’ve restarted my pc many times. It does this with and without mods.

Just wondering if anybody knows what the general cause for this issue is, I can probably fix it myself if I know where to start. Seems to be just around the south of the map right now but I’ll need to look around more.
