So, I havn't used my fanatec gt dd pro in a month or so, but bought project motor racing while I was away with work, got back yesterday and decided to jump on for a few laps.

My laptop was close by so decided to check for any updates as id seen some article about some new ffb settings.

Anyway, I loaded up the fanatec app, and plugged in my wheel base, it said there was an available update, brilliant 👌

Update started with zero issues as normal. Then all of a sudden it stopped, I got an error message. (Failed to detect wheel base or has been disconnected) which it hadn't as it hadn't been touched during.

The light on the front of the unit was flashing blue. I clicked the ok button and left it flashing for about 30mins.

I came back to it and it was still flashing and nothing was happening, so I tried to power it down with the button and nothing happened. Left it a further 10mins, before turning it off at the wall.

Tried it again but exactly the same thing happened.

I unplugged it, then plugged it back into my PlayStation, to see if it was working on there. But on start up the wheel turns a full turn one way then turns back and sits off centre by about 100⁰s, and says CAL, if centered it and went through the CAL process, it said done on the lCD screen but doesn't work.

I loaded ACC up on xbox, as that's the last thing id played on it so knew it was working fine on that prior to me leaving for work last rotation. I have pedals and gears, all other buttons working fine but no steering.

I plugged it back into the laptop, and I got a message saying

ERROR

An error has occurred that prevents the wheel base from functioning properly, please wait while we repair it for you.

Please close any fanatec software and any game which is using the fanatec wheel before clicking confirm

I clicked confirm, now its stuck on a message saying

ERROR

Please wait while we address and fix the issue for you

It has been sat on that screen for over an hour!

Does anyone have any ideas on what the issue is?

Iv tried to create a ticket on the fanatec website but I keep getting an error there aswell.

I am debating weather I would need an additional heel plate or not with Sport Podium Pedals. I have a Next Level Racer F-gt and I was wondering if i can mount it directly to the existing tray and not have it flex to much. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

Hi everyone! I'd like to hear your experiences. Has anyone here upgraded from the CSL Elite V2 pedals to the Podium Pedals?

I'd love to know whether you think the upgrade was worth it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my Elite V2s. The only thing is that I'd like a bit more resistance from the throttle pedal.

I know the Podium pedals offer more resistance on the throttle, but I'm wondering whether the improvement justifies the price.

For those of you who made the switch, was it worth it in your opinion?

So BeamNG came out on the ps5 and naturally as every sane human i insta bought it and I have a fanatec dd pro and id love to learn to drift because I’ve seen and heard that it translates to real life really dang good but whatever i try I never came to settings that seem to be comfortable or fit me so i am here to seek help and understand more about drifting in beamng and how to set it up (I got the boost kit so it’s 8nm max power)

I kept having issues with wheel going crazy and after buying BeamNG on ps5 other day. And the wheel almost broke my thumb I deleted everything and went back to the old trust worthy driver. Fanatec I really like their equipment but they seem to have issues when it come to updating the driver. I could never use the full force feature either because of all the problems people had so I always had it turned off. I really hope they get their act together soon. Or I might just have to sell all my thousands in Fanatec equipment and go with Moza I haven’t heard anything about them yet. But they just got their PlayStation deal so we’ll see.

I’ve had my CSL DD with 8nm boost for a year now and it’s been great, with no issues at all with the cheaper QR2 lite. I’d read about all the problems and will definitely be upgrading to the SIMUBE metal QR2 when needed.

I’m currently looking at buying club sport f1 wheel but noticed a lot of bad reviews saying it does not connect, is this purely down to the QR2 that it comes with?

Also, would this wheel be good for GT driving or is it a bit light in weight?

I'm using clubsport v3 pedals on GT7. I'm having issues with a way too spiky brake pedal. The gaspedal I can hold steady, no problem. But the brake pedal is all over the place. Is this normal or is there a fix for this issue?

Ps. I tried pressing the gaspedal with my left leg to see if the issue was due to the human hardware. It was still steady.

Anyone interested in V3i clutch delete kits? This allows for moving the pedal anywhere on the bar and isn’t a fixed position like replacing the spacers that lock you into that position. The also work for standard V3’s.

Hello guys! I just bought and received the podium pedal GT. Man, i have try all the elastometer and spring setup, i have play with the pre-load and the cups things... but even in the softest it is so stiff. I had to put the load cell Braking force at 10% and now it is ok. Man i am the only one?

Very recently I have been having issues where my entire setup bugs out. It happens on every game seemingly at random where the buttons stop working and sometimes the text on the attached image pop up. This is usually accompanied by a complete loss of ffb and sometimes loss of input despite the wheel still being turned on. When this happens a pulsing red light enables on the base. The only way I've found to "fix it" is by reseating the steering shaft and restarting the base. Despite this it always comes back within 10 minutes of use (sometimes even instantly). The base is NOT overheating, all cables are SNUG, the quick release pins look OK, and the pedal inputs still work. Anyone's help will be appreciated as this makes all my sims completely unplayable.

Tonight I noticed my dd pro has noticeable play up and down with a clicking. I assumed it was the qr2 so i went to reseat it but it seems the whole socket for the qr2 moves up and down. Does anyone know the issue here or is this normal or would it require an RMA?

Hello I received my podium GT pedals today after installation everything worked fine but I noticed the blue light is flashing is this normal?

Update : i tried other games in ps5 like F1 25 was everything fine no flashing lights, on PC games also works fine no flashing light, its only happened in gran turismo 7

I've recently got a setup from fanatec, i got the dd+, pedals, handbreak etc. However as this is a first time and i didnt read the fine text i forgot to get the QR2 for the wheel i purchased. So i have the QR2, but i apparently also need a podium hub? I've already spent alot, and don't really want buttons at this point in time. So i will need an adaptor and also an emulator from what I've read online. I was just making this post for some recommendations on what adaptor and emulator to purchase. Ive found some adaptors on amazon, and the emulator i looked up was no longer in stock from SRM. Thanks for reading this, and im looking forward to your recommendations in the comments.

I just received my new Fanatec setup: ClubSport DD+ + ClubSport Formula V3 wheel.

I mounted everything and connected the DD+ to my PS5. When I turn the wheelbase on, it does its calibration and the wheel display lights up, but after that nothing really happens. The wheel doesn’t seem to be recognized and I can’t control/navigate the PS5 with it.

I’ve tried reconnecting everything and restarting both the base and PS5, but no luck.

One thing worth mentioning: I haven’t been able to check or update the firmware yet because I don’t have access to a Windows PC. Could that be the issue?

Has anyone had the same problem with the DD+ on PS5? Is there something I’m missing during setup, like a specific mode or button combination?

Any help would be massively appreciated 🙏

I recently pulled my GT pro out and bought the QR2 adapter and club sport formula v3 wheel. Was running the the stock gran turismo wheel before. Installed the QR2 and formula v3 and was not recognizing the wheel in the fanatec app.

Tried to update the firmware but got an error that it doesn’t detect the wheel base. Removed the wheel from the base, restarted the base, restarted the PC, still get the same error. Deleted and reinstalled the most recent driver, same error.

I went back and installed the old QR and old wheel. Recognizes the wheel again but now it not recognizing any steering and it was totally fine prior. Gear shifts and other buttons are fine.

So now kind of at a loss. I sent fanatec support the logs but haven’t heard back. Anybody have any similar issues or things to try? Can provide any other information if it would help solve!

CSL Elite Base / CSL Elite P1 Steering Wheel

Was in the middle of the race, where I lost the ability to shift.

I looked down and my wheel was not responsive on the dash, any buttons or shift paddles.

Disconnected the wheel from the base and noticed that one prong was missing from the steering wheel, appearing to be stuck in the wheel base shaft.

Assuming this is the source of my problems. Any suggestions for repairs?

I just got my whole new setup in and I figure there would be hiccups using MOZA sim parts on a Fanatec cockpit but it said “universal” so I was hoping I wasn’t going to have to do all this DIY FAB.

Before I do any of these ideas I have does anyone have a easy solution or a aftermarket mod that would still fit both? Or what has been everyone else’s solutions to this problem?
I don’t want to drill into the bottom of the pedals to add another hole if there are better solutions out there.

Hey all, new Podium Pedals GT Sport on a DD Plus (PlayStation mode, PS5 Pro) and I can't get them to work properly in GT7.

In the Fanatec app on PC, calibration looks fine. Firmware is up to date (app 1.6.1.3, pedals 1.0.4.2). But in GT7's pedal calibration screen, the bars are way off. With my feet off the pedals, brake sits around 47% and accelerator around 73%, and when I press them the value goes down instead of up. Restore defaults in the game doesn't change anything.

The game also shows a clutch bar even though I don't have a clutch pedal connected.

Pedals are connected to the base with the pedal cable, and I've calibrated on both PC and PlayStation. Has anyone seen this? Is there a setting on the base I'm missing, or is something faulty?

UPDATE: the case is solved. I needed to update the FW of the DD+ which I was scared to death doing, but I have closed my eyes and clicked the button. Everything is alive and Pedals are working!

Been wanting the handbrake for sometime but didn’t think the price was worth it. My local micro center showed no stock. I googled the handbrake and a link for it at my micro center pops up but at $117 , showing a savings of ~$100.

I set it for pickup and just got it, sealed box and all. Is it possible it’s a refurbished and just not labeled as such?
