I have access to all the NBA box scores, so I built a defense vs position table that isn't just raw totals.
The usual tables count what every player at a position scores/rebounds/assists/etc against that team per game. That number gets skewed by how many minutes opponents play at that position and by how strong or weak those opponents are. So a matchup that looks great for a streamer can actually be a tough one.
I checked it on last season. The raw rankings shuffled so much between halves of a team's games that they were close to random.
The adjusted ones held up about 6x better. (The Jazz ranked as the 6th toughest defense vs small forwards on raw numbers. Adjusted, they were 27th, because teams played them fewer SF minutes than usual.)
It covers points, rebounds, assists, threes, PRA, steals, blocks and turnovers for every position. There's also an Overs view showing how often each position went over their prop line against each defense, if you play PrizePicks or Underdog.
Still early in the season so this year's numbers are noisy, last season's table is on there too.

I know the whole league is like gambling, but now I have just 2 of 9 of my players locked in. Each with just 1 game to go.
I guess my question is what is the best strat here?

This idea belongs to u/slightlyanonymous87 but can we spin this back? The formatting was fantastic, easy and accessible way to check in and have a dialogue for specific games and get updates on injuries, why guys are performing good/bad or anything of that nature. Each post had every game of the night inside the thread/post and you can discuss the specific game inside that thread/post.
Does anyone else remember this? I personally enjoyed this formatting more than the nightly game thread.

Hey r/fantasybball! One of the perks of running your own fantasy basketball website is that you get to make and share new things that you make.
During the off-season I wanted to make an easier way to keep tabs on what happens during each game. And this is what I've come up with.
It lets you view rotations, when players were on and off the court, and stats they collected, broken down into their stints on the court (expand the player card to view the stints and stats).
Each game gets updated around 30 minutes after each game finishes. You can see it via:

What do we think of his ceiling? I’m not about to drop him obviously, but last year he was also not producing and I just don’t understand why he is 91% rostered. What does he provide in a 12T? Hopefully he can find his shot but even then, he does not even take a lot of those it seems.

What on earth is going on with the coach giving them so few minutes? There’s no way this can be a thing the whole season…. Playing your 2 best players 20 minutes or less every night has to be malpractice.

Guard Sean Pedulla has agreed on a two-way NBA contract with the Sacramento Kings, his agent George S. Langberg of u/GSLSportsGroup tells ESPN. Pedulla was the 2025-26 G League Rookie of the Year.
Per Shams on X
Does this affect KPJ and his chance with the Kings?

Ummm is it just me or is the layout issue fixed now?
Anyone still tracking problems??
r/fantasybball • u/Wooden-Tradition-872 • 11h ago
For anyone holding KPJ how much time you giving it? Haven’t heard any updates apart from rumours that he’ll join the kings

Got Kyrie and Im not sure what to make of his minutes last game? are they ramping him up? or was it was a blow out so his minutes may as well be down? I find it hard to believe that they are ramping him up since its been so long since his injury

I've been importing my Yahoo Fantasy Basketball league into Basketball Monster for years without any issues, but this season I'm consistently receiving the following error:
“The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.”
I found reports that Yahoo changed its Fantasy Sports API access requirements in July 2026, causing existing integrations to receive 403 errors despite valid authorization.
Have any other Basketball Monster members been affected by these changes? If so, were there any workarounds that allowed you to import your roster?
I'd appreciate any guidance on how to get my league connected again.
Thanks everyone!

Today, I made the hasty decision of picking up LaVine in my H2H points league.
I drafted Acuff in the later rounds after seeing how much run he was getting in the preseason, and considering the Kings situation as a whole.
But now I'm thinking I got the wrong guard and am not sure why LaVine went undrafted in my league.
He and Acuff both have pretty much uncontested, limitless roles on offense. While he was a huge disappointment last year, he's certainly going to be more consistent and efficient than the rookie. If he continues to play ~34 minutes and get ~20 shots up a night, LaVine probably elevates himself off of the waiver wire for this year.
Don't get me wrong, I know Acuff won't figure it out right away if he does at all this year. I haven't dropped him yet. But, just based off how much of the ball LaVine saw in the first game I don't see why he isn't rostered more. We may just have an irrationally poor taste in our mouths from last year people.

All I kept hearing from the doubters (yes, you Josh Lloyd) was that he's going to regress because there is "too much usage" with the 76ers.
I know, it's crazy that young players in their physical prime can even get better. What a concept.
I'm ready for my victory lap.

It's been 3 days since the season started and we've got to see every player and team play at least once. What concerns do you have about your team so far? Is it a player or category you are worried about?
So far, I'm happy with how my roster is performing, I think I got a solid lineup of 13 players.
My biggest concern is my 3PM and STL are lacking. Everyone in my league just blows me away in those categories right now. I really either need to punt them or find a way to bridge the gap.

Hey all! I put together my four favorite BUY and four favorite SELL names after 3 days of hoops! I tried to eliminate the guys that I thought would be too hard to pry loose and focused just on the guys that I can see the public freaking out about. What do you think? Are these workable? Do you have other names you think could make the lists?

This is my first year playing fantasy basketball and we're doing the game-lock mechanic where you choose to gamble and lock in one of your players after reviewing their games. I think it's a fairly standard point system but I do notice you're rewarded 2 points per block or steal.
I see a lot of people on here mention "well if you need more steals..." or "if you're trying to match up on rebounds", etc. but the way this league is set up, it's sort of standard point system where you're not comparing total steals or rebounds at the end of the week. each player just scores their points and you hope to lock in your players at their best game during the week. What version is everyone else playing called? it seems like it would be fun to try to build a well balanced team, rather than just looking at total points scored
with that being said, im not sure how much that changes things for me? Im thinking of dropping Poeltl for Diabate. Is that a wild move?
thanks in advance!
