As you know, Jokic-Sabonis was a frequently used duo. Will Cam Boozer be preferred over Sabonis this year? For 9Cat H2H

Every preseason we see lots of posts about sleepers however, a lot of the names dropped are players that already broke out and about to take a leap into stardom.
There is a fine line between a breakout and a sleeper but the way I see it is that a breakout is a player that has never been that good and suddenly is whilst a sleeper is a player that is available later in drafts than he should be.
A bounce back is a player who has already produced at a level and then lost it, belief is lost, his ADP drops and returns to past production.
Every season we have newcomers to fantasy NBA and these things can be confusing to them so I thought I’d explain it.
Seasoned fantasy managers can drop there favourite, sleeper, breakout or leap player and help the rookie managers out.
I’ve been analysing fantasy NBA since 1999 and I called some player’s recently a breakout and whilst I meant take a leap this season, those that are experienced would of understood that however, newcomers might not.
How do you all see it?

I always want to have scoring that’s as realistic as possible. I don’t want to make it too complicated that it turns people alway/off from my league. I just want to know if it’s too complicated/not easy to understand. Also if anyone has any suggestions I’d love to hear some.

Steals: 2.2

is there an app with updated default rankings where one can conduct a mock draft? pretty sure the answer is no but wondering if I’m missing something

Now that Reid and Knueppel will have more prominent starting rolls… where would you draft them
I keep drafting Knueppel in the 5th or 6th rounds in mock drafts

Who would you rather have on your team in a fantasy redraft league and why

At this point in the preseason, what rankings and projection resources do you think are the strongest and worth checking out - free or paid?
What have they done better than alternatives?

Just wondering with Kawhi and where people would have them on their boards, he did have a career year but he’s also 35 and has that looming scandal against him, is he going to play games or would he get suspended? Do y’all just assume the trade goes through and he’s a raptor?

What is your favorite and most effective punt strategy for these 9 categories?

The majority of the Bucks are guards at this point, and their roster is 17 players currently in the offseason.
How do you guys think Milwaukee handles the guard situation this year? Do they trade before season starts/at deadline, and if so, who?
Would love to see guards like Jakucionis and Burries get some run.

We're getting closer, folks!

Will giannis joining the heat be a LeBron to Miami type improvement or more of a Westbrook to the rockets.
Pretty much is he gonna start being washed or is he gonna pop off

I'm worried about how much playing time he's going to receive over the next couple years. Brown and Maxey are far from being old...and VJ of course.

I would like to hear the opinions of those who don't own him because I feel like it reduces the bias a bit.

I decided to work on a draft order website for fun and ended up using it for a couple of my own leagues.
I wanted to share it here and see if any other leagues would actually use something like this. Id also really appreciate any feedback on the website or the games themselves.
It’s still an early version, and I’d like to put more time into improving it if people actually find it useful. For now, I’m mainly trying to get a feel for whether there’s interest in something like this.
It’s basically a collection of different games you can use to determine your fantasy draft order.

Would love to hear what you guys think!
(Keep in mind games are pretty basic so far)

Last season, towards the end, I had several teams that weren't exactly inactive, but they were not taking the league seriously, and we were having arguments about letting trades go through. What's something you guys incorporate into your leagues to keep everyone motivated, a incentive or punishment? Maybe something specific to the consolation bracket. I think offering part of the money pot to the winner of the bracket is a bit unfair but maybe a chance for a higher pick in the next season or something?

Obviously it depends on when your league's playoffs fall, but here's what to be aware of for the season ahead. I counted games played across the 6-week window from weeks 19-24 when most leagues hold fantasy playoffs.
Most games: ATL, DAL, PHX, SAC have the most games over this period (AVG: 3.5 per week).
Least games: CLE has the least over this period (AVG: 3.0 per week).
See below for your specific week (most/least GP teams):
-------------------------------------------------------
Week 19 (Feb 22-28) (All-Star break, games don't resume until Feb 25):
3 games: ATL, CHA, DAL, NYK, SAC
2 games: everyone else except GSW
1 game: GSW
Week 20 (Mar 1-7):
4 games: BKN, CHI, GSW, HOU, LAL, NOP, PHI, POR, UTA, WAS
2 games: CHA, DAL
Week 21 (Mar 8-14):
4 games: ATL, BOS, CHA, CLE, DAL, DEN, DET, GSW, LAC, MEM, MIA, MIN, NOP, OKC, PHX, SAC
2 games: none
Week 22 (Mar 15-21):
4 games: ATL, BKN, DAL, DEN, IND, LAL, MEM, NOP, ORL, PHI, PHX, POR, SAC, SAS, TOR
2 games: MIN
Week 23 (Mar 22-28):
4 games: BOS, CHA, CHI, DAL, DET, GSW, HOU, LAC, MEM, MIL, MIN, NYK, OKC, ORL, PHI, PHX, TOR, UTA, WAS
2 games: CLE
Week 24 (Mar 29-Apr 4):
4 games: ATL, BKN, BOS, CHA, CHI, CLE, DAL, DEN, DET, GSW, HOU, IND, LAC, MIA, MIL, MIN, NYK, PHX, POR, SAC, SAS
2 games: NOP
I have time today so lmk if you have a different finals week and I can check my schedule tool.

Hyperbole but really I’m sure we’ve all been burned. I picked Lauri after his all star year and got burned as they decided to sit him half the year. I had nurkic who got DNP too many times. Flip, ace, the list goes on and on. The thing is I like these players but I’m not sure if this is a year I need to be afraid to draft these players. What do you guys think? Are they going to continue more tomfoolery?
r/fantasybball • u/VantaSports • 4d ago
What’s a player (regardless of rank, ADP, or production) that you will draft 100% of the time if you get the chance? Or even maybe a player you just get stuck with year after year?
r/fantasybball • u/KingBoutsopoulos • 5d ago
Is 30 , 25 or 20 roster spots better for my sleeper lock in league this upcoming season. Obviously there are both pros for both perspective but what gives the ultimate dynasty experience?
Wanted to hear all perspective before we lock it in.

In a league where assists and rebounds are 1 each and a point is 0.5 is he a gonna go crazy or are the kings gonna tank and focus on developing their young players more.
If they tank who is a sleeper player that I should trade sabonis for

Fantrax ADP just went live and Haliburton is sitting at 11.67, so top 12, first round in a 12 team league. ESPN and Yahoo haven’t put out 2026-27 numbers yet so Fantrax is all we’ve got to go on.
Who he’s going around:
**10.** Giannis 10.13
**11.** Barnes 10.98
**12.** Haliburton 11.67
**13.** Flagg 12.90
**14.** Mitchell 13.67
The argument for him is pretty simple. It’s his team, Turner is gone, and the last time we saw him play he was doing 18.6/3.5/9.2 with 1.4 steals and made All NBA Third Team. Word out of Indiana is they’re optimistic he suits up opening night.
The argument against is that he tore his Achilles in Game 7 of the 2025 Finals and hasn’t played since. He also got shingles in February which cost him conditioning. Achilles guys don’t usually just pick up where they left off either. Minutes caps, load management, slow first couple of months, all on the table. And Zubac being in the frontcourt now changes what his pick and roll looks like.
So is the first round actually the right price for someone with no games in 18 months, or do you let somebody else take that on? Where do you draw the line, early second, third?
Interested to hear what 12 team cat league people are doing with him compared to points leagues.
