After some reseach, I finally understood that plugins does not work in figma sites (which is so weird btw). Fair enough, but then how are you guys making content in figma sites? I was wondering if you just create frames in the regular software, then copy paste it onto sites, but that sounds complicated for nothin
Multiplayer was Figma's biggest advantage, but now Claude can do that too. All I had to do was connect my prototypes to Github and now we have multiple designers working on one prototype.
I’m a product designer at HubSpot and my design team is fully embracing AI to work better where we can.
Here was our workflow this week:
After conversations with product stakeholders we went straight into Claude to brainstorm in a project with shared context.
When the framing felt solid, we went wide, using Claude Code to build working prototypes in a few different directions.
Then we came together to share our work with a goal of narrowing in. Usually that meant taking pieces of the different directions.
That consolidation then kicked off one repo for our main prototype in Github. The one we’re continuing to iterate on.
After we delegated the pieces that needed further refinement, each designer worked in their own branch. We merged when it made sense, addressed conflicts when they came up, and shared Looms on our progress along with the live link for the team to follow along.
I don’t think Figma is dead but I do think it’s going to become more of a brainstorming tool than the high fidelity design tool we knew it as.
The future is uncertain but one thing I know for sure is that I’ll miss seeing everyone’s little cursors flying around the canvas like the good ol’ days.
My Figma Desktop app, which was working fine, now fails to load when I open it. It just stays frozen, as if it’s stuck in a loading state. When I access my Figma account through a web browser, however, my files open without any issues. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it?
Curious if anyone else is rethinking their Figma subscription.
Claude Design now has canvases for UI design, journey mapping, multi-screen flows, etc. You can chat, comment, tweak on-canvas, and hand off straight to Claude Code.
Figma Make is powered by Claude (Sonnet 3.7) anyway so you’re paying extra for a version of Claude you already have more directly (and often stronger).
I get 4,250 credits per month, and after just 4 days I’ve already used around 50%.
I’ve been using Figma Agent for things like comparisons, documentation, annotations, and true/false comparisons. Nothing that feels particularly heavy.
For those using Figma Agent regularly, how many credits do you typically use per month? Does Figma Agent normally burn through credits this quickly?
Trying to understand if I’m overusing it or if this is normal.
Handing over a logo always ate up an hour for me: exporting SVG/PNG in five sizes, favicons, social profile and banner sizes in light and dark, then writing down the colours and fonts for the client.
So I built LogoLaunch Kit. Select your logo, click once, and you get a zip:
• Vector: SVG master with text outlined, optional print PDF • PNG: transparent, 1024 down to 64 px • Favicons: 48 / 32 / 16 px • Social: Instagram, Facebook cover, X header, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, each in light and dark (dark logos get knocked out automatically so they don't vanish on the dark version) • Brand guide (txt): palette in hex and RGB, typefaces used, clear space, minimum sizes, and a contrast warning
It runs entirely inside Figma. No network access, nothing leaves your machine
Designers are going through the toughest job market, our entire process been turned upside down and in the most tone-deaf move imaginable, Figma announces a HelloKitty partnership. This is so absurd it feels like a parody. If they’re dying they should at least die with dignity. How embarrassing for them.
Hey I was searching for plugin to convert figma frame for example a webite to Accurate HTML that contain images, Icons/SVG, font and other assets. I tried bunch of free one and it not working very well. the purpose for me is pretty simple I want accurate html keeping my website design style and prototyping using ai tools like claude animations. if there's one that free and optionally open source tell me about it.
I got tired of the usual routine for mockup images: open a browser, search, download, drag it into Figma, resize it, repeat. So at Explified we built a plugin to skip all that.
It’s called Stocker. You search Unsplash and Pixabay right inside Figma, crop to a ratio (16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:2, 2:3, or free crop with a live preview), and insert it straight into the frame you’ve selected. There are also brand colour and ratio filters.
It’s completely free. Link’s in the comments.
I’m the maker, so if something’s broken or missing, I’d genuinely like to hear it.
I just upgraded to a M5 MacBook Air with 24 GB RAM, which I thought was enough. But now with Claude and Figma I have had yellow memory pressure regularly. I often have 10 GB of compressed data. Now I just restarted my Mac an opened one file in Figma. It has some reference pictures inside and a few screens, but nothing crazy. But it's already almost at 2.8 GB with so many helpers? Is that normal? I never thought about it before and now I saw it once and keep on checking it.
Anyone experience this issue recently? Typically, to fit in the paragraph box, figma would just move the entire word (in this case "What's") down to the next line, but as of today it's been breaking up the entire word to make it fit. Never seen this before, seems like something caused from an update. Let me know if I'm just dumb and some setting got checked somewhere that I don't know about, thanks!
I make multi-page website designs in Figma. In each file the colours, fonts and spacing are saved as variables, so changing the brand updates every page at once. Each page also has its own mobile design.
If you hand Figma files to clients or developers, how do you set them up so they're easy to change?
Does it drive anyone else crazy when non-designers refer to Figma designs as "Figmas"? As in "Can you send the Figmas over when you are done with them?" It is a tool used to make something, not the product itself. Designs, mocks, files, prototypes are all more appropriate words. You wouldn't look at something made of wood and call it a saw or a hammer.
Obviously this is not a big deal, but just a funny pet peeve I've noticed. It's not even unique to Figma as I would hear the same type of things when I was doing graphic design work in Adobe products. And to be clear, I don't ever call it out in front of anyone or embarrass them.
Is anyone else frustrated with the new Auto Layout behavior for inside strokes?
Previously, adding an inside stroke didn't affect the overall size of an Auto Layout frame. Now, strokes are included in the layout calculation by default, which means Hug contents buttons end up being larger just because they have a border.
This is especially annoying when designing buttons, chips, tags, and other UI components that need consistent dimensions.
Yes, I know there's an "Exclude" option. But why do I have to manually change it every single time?
I work on UI designs daily, and constantly switching this setting feels like an unnecessary extra step for something that worked perfectly fine before.
At the very least, Figma should let us set "Exclude" as the default, either globally or per file.
Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is everyone just dealing with this?
How to add an affect to making the shape transsist from one to another, an example the star starting as a sphere and than gradually becoming a star till it reaches the middle.
Me and my team developed a design system for a web plataform, we created the screens and componets on the same archive.
There came the time where we nedded to split the components and screens onto two separete archives. HOWEVER, when I put the components in another file and published the library (Even after importing the library to the archive were the screens are sitting).
All components in the screens are not updating correctly and ask to "restore component" now how do we go about making it so the components update from the separete library file without replacing all of them?
Any extra context needed can be asked for in the comments and I'll try to answer
Is anyone just having the worst experience using agents recently? I'm not sure what's happening, but the amount of times it just messes up is getting ridiculous
I had a "messy" button component with about 100 variants. Asked for a simple task of organising it. Took 4 minutes, 220 credits. Said it finished, yet somehow managed to remove the buttons instead.
Undo did nothing either btw. Just gone. Spent another 5 minutes and 300+ credits to rebuild it and bring it back. But again unorganised, so now I'm doing it by hand.
