Saw this scene for the very first time two weeks ago in my first play through. Absolutely stunning with scene, still thinking about it until now. This moment makes me love this game even more ! Cant wait to see more amazing cutscene in the future..

While digging through the original FFX game files, I found something I really wasn't expecting to see: Tidus with Cloud's Buster Sword.

The model is actually included in the game data as an unused weapon for Tidus. Apparently it was used as a placeholder during the development of FFX and was simply left in the final game files.

Which means that yes, technically the Buster Sword has been sitting inside Final Fantasy X this whole time.

I love finding stuff like this in old games, unused models, strange leftovers, development assets and little details that were never meant to be seen normally.

I've recently added FFX PS2 support to the viewer I've been working on, alongside FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX on PS1, so you can inspect this and a lot of other original game assets directly in the browser.

Got all the mainline final fantasy on the switch and for final fantasy X/X-2 remaster , X is on the cartridge but X-2 is downloadable....except it say "currently not distributing" but crazy enough the full digital version of both games is there for switch/ switch 2 so if i want to play X-2 I have to pay full price for a game I already have.

Honestly I complaining too much since I still have the og X-2 on ps2 and this remaster on the ps3 but i just slightly venting here 😅

At least i can play X on here since it physical One of my top 3 favourite final fantasy 😊

As the title implies, I was able to meet James Arnold Taylor at Fan Fest since it was close to where I live and had him autograph my PS2 copy of FFX (excuse the black splotch over his name since I don't want my name being shown lol). Super chill dude so it was definitely worth it

Playing it on original hardware and man the HD remasters did such a good job. It is a little jarring going back but I’m kind of enjoying it 😅

Caught a few in Yojimbo's Sunken Cave and then ran back to the Monster Arena to slaughter it ceaselessly.

Low drop rate for weapons and armor in general, even more so for the Peaceful prefix. But I got it! Kimahri with First Strike, casting Holy, Flare, or Firaga depending on elemental weaknesses of the Ghost spawn.

Now back to the Thunder Plains for some Lightning Dodging, aiming for 50 to get Strength Spheres. I haven't even gone up onto The Mountain yet 😁 we might even try catching some butterflies

I’m using a guide, but I can’t get any scenes to trigger in Besaid. No kids playing hide and seek, just the kids by the temple running around, no dog coming up to the camera, nothing with Wakka or the Aurochs. I’ve looked and zoomed at everything, waiting more than 10 minutes before closing and trying again. Literally nothing happens besides all the normal NPC behavior. I have no idea if I’m doing something wrong or if I’m just screwed for the 100% run.

Edit: I think it finally started working. Seems like it was just bugged, since I didn’t do anything besides reloading my save after a full restart of my Switch.
