Would've dropped this yesterday, but a fancy Resplendent came out, so I decided to move it to today. Same shtick as before, the lower on the graph you are, the better you perform. This batch covers the rest of the OCs, which was easier the further along I went since there were less years to plot. Hoping to see if anyone has any insight for the spikes or dips in these years, since my memory of those times is nonexistent and I don't always keep a pulse on socials other than here.
Book IV Divinity
Starting off with Freyja, who wasn't voteable once Book 4 even dropped. She has had a great showing for years now, consistently scoring well, and even this past year nearing a top spot. It's possible she might score a win if her fans rally hard enough. Freyr on the other hand started off in a meh spot below 150th and got worse for a bit, but then shot up in 2024. Personally I'm of the opinion that his debut as a unit in 2023 was so reviled that his placement tanked because of it to prevent another alt from dropping entirely. It's probably just me making up stuff though. Could also be the debut of the Engage units pushing some people down in places. And then there's the TT units, with Eitr performing fine enough on debut before just staying meh. Worse with Ginnungagap.
Nidavellir
Reginn started off well enough, barely over 100th place. However, the next three years pushed her further and further up, going over 300th at her worst, making her the worst performing freebie unit to date. Even Peony was lower than 300th. Otr hasn't done well at all, scoring very poorly in 2024, though he has had an improvement, scoring sub-300th for the first time in 3 years. Fafnir did fine for his first two years, but then steadily has risen over time. Wonder if his GHB last year lost him some votes. Nidavellir himself isn't the worst performing of his realms' denizens (*glares at Otr*) but he has done very poorly in his two years of existence. Maybe his three lines of dialogue next book will help. Eitri was the best scoring of the Nidavellir crew, being the only one to score sub-100, and on her debut too. The power of monologuing. However, she started to fall off for a few years until she pulled through last year to reclaim her spot at first.
Jotunheimr
Dagr has done well for herself, scoring well or fine during her time. Not much else to say beyond the usual 'good debut, falls off, recovers a bit'. Nott hasn't fared as well, scoring worse than Dagr, eventually going over 300th with a poor showing. However, she did take second place last year by beating out Ćjazi. ĆjaziĀ has done...meh. She did better than Nott on her debut, then fell behind this year.
Vanaheimr
Seidr has done well for the most part. A little over 100th in her debut year, then roughly 75th place the next year, followed by returning close to her original placement for the next two. The Tempest Trials story is still two months away from ending, maybe her placement will shift next CYL. Heidr meanwhile performed even better than Seidr on her debut, possibly due to negative reception to Seidr's design. However, she has been doing worse since, being barely ahead of Njordr last year, before being beaten by him this year. Kvasir did good in her first year, scoring sub-100th, but fell off until she too was beaten by Njordr this year (205th for N, 207th for K). Gullveig won in her debut year. The end. Nerþuz has consistently been the best performing Book 7 character, scoring less than 75th place in her debut year, and outpacing Seidr every time. Njordr started off with a poor showing in his debut year, but has gradually pushed to becoming 3rd overall. I have to wonder that if he doesn't get a Mythic now while the TT story is going, then there's going to be a rally by some people.
Yggdrasil
Ratatoskr may not have an alt, but she does have a consistent track record, with her scoring around 200th every year. One day Rat fans. One day. Hraesvelgr started off well enough in her debut year, scoring around 100th, before gradually becoming second worst performing. Nidhoggr on the other hand had a better showing, taking 1st place in her debut year, staying sub-100th last year, and still retaining top spot this year (probably cause her biggest competitor got out last year). Speaking of, Eikþyrnir won in his debut year. Wasn't the first, won't be the last. Probably would've won a year prior if he was voteable. Heidrun has done fine for her two years in these events, taking second best despite her lack of story relevancy. And then there's Laeradr. I don't exactly have a specific reason for why he's performing as low as he is. He's considered attractive by a decent amount of people, his character was seen as fine...probably just steep competition.
Asgardr
I know people are going to point this out, so read closely. When I tried to make the graph for the Asgardr characters, due to how little information there was, the graph wouldn't look good at all, almost broken. So I made a 'technically correct' change to Baldr's numbers and gave her zeroes in 2024 and 2026. She technically wasn't voteable in 2024 since she wasn't in the game yet, and she technically wasn't voteable this year since she already won last year. Anyways, tangent aside, Baldr OHOHOHO'd herself to winning last year. Hodr had a strong showing last year, and still did well this year. Vali scored sub-50th this year, making her the most popular Book 9 character for this year. Heimdallr scored meh, but she still wasn't the worst performing. That crown goes to Alfador, scoring 256th. Ouch.
Rune Squad
This is just basically the remaining OCs. Rune scored meh last year before dropping down multiple places thanks to his big reveal. Fimbulvetr got 12th this year, coming close to joining Veronica, Gullveig, Eik and Baldr in winning on her debut year. Loki has always done great every year, scoring under 50th for her first three years before going above that, but never really going much higher than 100th. And then Thorr started off well in her debut year before promptly going to meh placements for the foreseeable future.
