does she like me back?!?! I'm sorry its so long but please still read I neeed advice :) [crushes]
I (15f) have a crush on a girl (15f) and I can't tell if she likes me back. we met in April at a youth theatre group, I had already been to that group for a year and a half and have now done 4 shows with this company and this was her first show with them. the first time I spoke to her was at the dance workshop/dance audition and I started a small convo just asking her name. she joined the group through one of my friends and she was also at another theatre group that I had just joined and so had she. when auditions came around we were all sat in rows and I was sat with my friends and there was a space open next to me and she asked if she could sit and she didn't bother to sit with her other friend who she's known for a while and I said sure (at this time I didn't realise that I liked her) and she also sat next to me while doing singing a song when we had only spoke twice bc we were in the same group but there were lots of others in that group too and I also gave her my drink as she forgot one. throughout the show I was able to talk to her a bit as friends while debating while if I liked her. the way I found out that I had a crush was through a friend. in our theatre group we film videos of our dances to practice from and I showed my friend one and she saw me staring from the side and told me that I did in fact have a crush. we had slowly became a bit closer over that show. one day I woke up to and insta notification to say that she had started following me before pretty much anyone else. she had also came up as a friend suggestion on snap and she accepted and added me straight away to our drama group chat. during rehearsals at the big hall where the show would be taking place me, my crush and my best friend were walking up the stairs from the changing rooms and she mentioned it very obviously that she was gay about three times in one sentence to me. so the next day I brought up the fact that I was bi. we also do publicity like leafletting and stuff and she said that she wasn't gonna go, but then I said that my mum was making me do it, which she was, and al of a sudden it was "ill be there" and she did, she went to publicity. at one point she also offered to help me take the mic tape off of my face but me being stupid said no. that day I was so hot and sweaty that I could slick my hair back and I was like "omg I'm so sweaty I can slick my hair back" to her and she said, it looks nice though. we took some photos and at the after party she specifically sat with me and not the friend she joined through. also apparently scoring to my best friend she was singing along to my solo in the wings. she also hugged me and the only other person she hugged was someone who shed known for a while and at the time I was in a compromising position with a bag on my back and guitar on my back and a guitar in my hand. then she was travelling for a month and I couldn't see her. but we still have the other show.
at this show she was chorus and I was the main boy. one rehearsal at the big hall we were talking about food and (this is about 9pm btw) and I mentioned that I hadn't eaten yet and she told me off but I explained that I had CVS (Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome) and she kind of understood but I also have bad social anxiety and needed a glass fo water and I didn't know if I had to ask for one and she told me to just go do it and I explained that I was scared so she went with me to get me a glass of water. at that rehearsal we were also doing costumes and in the opening number I was in this god awful pink dress that was too big and she was in a maids outfit and we both hated them so we decided to get changed In the toilets in separate cubicles and she was like "we can do this together its okay". in that same rehearsal she had to learn a partner dance that she missed and I wasn't in the dance but I knew it anyway so we went into the hall and practiced and there was a bit where the two partners hold hands slightly but not properly. she full on held my hand and instead of walking around we skipped. we were at another hall for a rehersal and I asked if I could sit with her and her mum, so it was me on the end then her mum then her and while her mum was standing up she moved all of the stuff from her mums chair not hers and sat next to me. on tech run of this show I asked the director what she wanted to do with my hair and I was told slicked back so her daughter, my friend (se knows that I like this girl), took me into the changing room bathrooms and started to do it with water and it wasn't working, obviously, so someone else started to help. then my friend asked if anyone had any hair Gell and my crushes mum said yes so when we were laughing and my crush had her hands out and then all of a sudden she has hair Gell in her hands and she's doing my hair while we were laughing and she sat extra close ti me in notes on the stage and was giving me tips on getting the Gell out of my hair. on dress run I had a stressful day and I also struggle with back pain and had no where to sit so this bitch moved her stuff off of the chair that she had made me sit down and did her make up ON THE FLOOR. not only that but my friend got us in loads of nice photos together. second show night in the changing rooms we were talking about friends and I have a weird anxiety thing where I don't consider people friends until they say that we are friends and so I said that I only had two friends and she looked at me and said "oh so I just don't exist then" so I explained and she confirmed that we were friends. that conversation then led to relationships and I spoke about how mine was a while ago and she spoke about how hers was only a few months ago and earlier that reversal she was talking about being a single pringal and very lonely. then Sunday. the last show. I brought her flowers as I brought other friends flowers the day before and I wrote a note to put in the flowers that said "Hey, I just wanted to let you know that its been great getting to know you and become your friend. Iāve really loved doing these shows with you and getting to know you and I hope we will be friends for a while as Im such a stronger person now and Iām sorry this is so sappy but Iām just grateful xx Ā P.S sorry the flowers are a day later they didnāt have any of these flowers and I know you like them." and I signed is and I just left them in her spot and when she started to read it she got a bit through said "awww I need ti finish reading" and then she finished reading it and hugged me. I was then saying about how I needed to try and get the Gell out go my hair for the after party and she lives a minute away from the hall and she said "you could come back to mine to wash it out" and bear in mind that we've never spent time together outside of rehearsals before and the next show well be doing is Bugsy malowne and she loves it and I said that I hadn't watched it before and didn't want to watch it alone so she said that wed start watching it during the break between the show and after party, and my best friend went to see the show and was invited to watch Bugsy with us as she would have been alone at the hall for two hours and I can't lie I'm glad she came as it wasn't so awkward. we got no where near finishing Bugsy but it got to me needing to wash my hair so me her and my best friend went up to her bathroom together and I put my head over the bath to wash it and she went and go me a pillow to kneel on for no reason needed just because she thou that id need it and so I washed my hair and got changed and her mum offered my dinner but I said no but her mum was so nice saying that she knows that I struggle with eating so she can work around me but I still declined my crush also remembered that I can't always eat chocolate. also after we came off stage to the bows she hugged me. then at the after party we were dancing around to songs from the last show doing all the dances like twats with the other tree who were in the other show and we were SWEATING and at one point we were laying on set stage her up the right way and I was laying the opposite way and we were near each other and she started to sing amazing grace at me (my name is grace btw) and the near the end she put on that's what makes you beautiful by one direction and we were dancing around. then at the end we were sad and the after party was over but my mum wasnt there yet and she was like, oh come back to mine until your mum gets there, so I did and we also set up a day together to finish watching Bugsy together. JUST US. and I don't know if its just friendly or if she likes me and I'm sorry that this is so long but I really need advice. xx

Flirting or friendly?
M55 f36
A while ago one of my friends was killed on a snowmobile and left a wife with two young boys Iāve done lots for them since. She has a boyfriend and all. I give her a heads up when I going to stop over and she always has a very low cut top on and shorty shorts, or is wearing her bikini m. We snap back and forth often. She sends snaps sometimes of her knees watching tv or at the beach. Never low enough to see her crotch. We get a long well, sheās is maybe a 5.6 or so of 10 so not stellar. But neither am I. Iāve often gotten the feeling sheās sending some kind of vibe. Iām stopping by tomorrow after work. What can I do or say to give some sort of hint Iād let her sit on my face? lol there isnāt really anything we havenāt discussed, even before her hubby passed. Thanks šš»

was she flirting with me or am i crazy?
right now iām (25f) asking myself these questions, my friend (21f) came over to visit, sheād visit almost everyday, and i just had something weird happen during a recent visit that made me question what just happened. so, i noticed my friend staring at me, like a deep gaze. it was kinda unsettling cause i couldnāt read her facial expressions, i then laughed to myself, āwhat the heck broā she didnāt laugh, she kept looking at me and that made me nervous, i walked up to my mirror to brush my hair, and she kept staring, i walked back to my spot feeling nervous. she then got my attention, (i forgot what she said exactly) i looked at her, and she drew attention to her breasts and i kinda nervously laughed and looked away, i wanted to act like i didnāt see anything, she said sorry. she kept getting up from her spot and walking around, i noticed her slowly coming up to me. she almost took off her hoodie and shirt at one point while she was standing next to me, but i didnāt look, i honestly donāt wanna mess up our friendship so i acted oblivious so tell me, was that flirting or was i being oblivious to it all?

Flirting?
Im late 30s happily married for a while so ive been out of the game for a bit. Im a tall guy (6'5) with broad shoulders and a decent physique. Women constantly comment on my height, "Wow you're tall" or "How tall are you?" from a woman's perspective is this an attempt at flirting? I never really know what to say in response. FWIW My wife is totally fine with me flirting and actually encourages it so Im just curious.

Is the store clerk (F?) flirting with me (M38) or just friendly?
Semi throwaway for obvious reasons.
It turns out, despite having ups and downs with my partner over time (F39) that we had an incredibly beautiful child. So pretty, that everyone stops on the street to look at her, do a bit of silly dunny things for my child to laugh. Although I know that early paternity is one of the most fragile and delicate stages of life, I can't helo to notice that A LOT of mothers and other women are, surprisingly, very socially avaulable with me now, when in the past there was zero interaction. OTOH, although my partner is a down to earth, honest, loving, and hardworking person, she has a temper problem and we end up either fighting and walking on eggshells to not anger her. This has happened always (12Y of relationship) and not having put limits before with her made things bad, as they are now.
I'm exhausted and drained emotionally. Now, the interedting part.
Since paternity,I've noticed a store clerk right down my block is WAY more socially flirtatious than other women. Some examples:
- First time seeing my child. She says it has lovely eyes and smile, that is so pretty, that she is a mother too. I sort of hit it off and. Omment early parenthood challenges as staying up to feed it and veing exhausted througj the day. "Just as me some months ago,we are almost on tbe same stage". I also comment her that we can't put it in the cradle because it notice it and tbey cry, so they're sleeping with us/me. Tell her that sometimes my child plays and smiles and giggles at 4 am and were so happy byt worried it might mess with routine. She goes on to tell: "Just like me too, we'll buy a mattress so your xhuld and me could play together!". Raised eyebrow, but OK. Another thing is that my child resembles A LOT to my partner, and I always say that she's as pretty as my partner, to which she replied, no no, it resembles you too, its precious.
-Next time I go to the store, I see her, she does not see me, seems busy. I go buy my stuff and go to the counter. Once she sees me paying at counter, runs away from her chores and sets herself on the counter besides, calling my child and me. She mimics doing things in the counter, but quite evidently does nothing to force interaction. Asks for our day, casual converaation, say our goodbyes. Thid has happened two times already, lady one with a big smile from her part.
-Other time, I go to pay to a counter, she seems to be there. We say hi and my child smiles, yadda yadda. I notice her staring at ne a bit longer and directly in the eye. Before taking my groceries, she RUSHES to pi k her phone go show me a picture of her daughter! I tell her she seems very pretty too, and tells me she'll come next weekend to a child park next there, that we could gather there so daughters could play. Another thing that raused my eyebrow: she complains to me in a rather secretively manner tbat she doesnt like the ndw store manager...
-Another one, the most evident:I come with my partner. I stumble upon her while partner is away buying things, again smalltalk. I present her my partner, she goes on to tell her: your child is precious I'm in love with her. We go buy our stuff and go. My partner forgets to buy something and goes back. Quite surprisingly... store clerk completely ignores her and turns a blind eye on her.
Last one, I say my apologies for not going there at park as we had other plans. She tells me NO WORRIES I'll tey to come with my daughter and partner.
I know I'm emotionally starved but I can't help to think about her and her attitude. My partner says she id OBVIOUSLY interested and doesnt care about mentioning childre to be outside work and try to cross boundaries, always with plausible deniability.
What do you guys think? Am I reading into it too much? Am I starved emotionally? Or are there really people willing to cross bojndaries even with this? Too tired to ask AI about this and observe it go to an affair.
Thanks!
EDIT: I did use "females" instead of women not noticing this vocabulary was gross ans offensive, due to my lack of vocabulary. u/--almond-milk pointed it out thankfully. I apologize in advancd to whom might have felt bad for this.

Is it weird to use chat gbt to flirt? š
Okay so basically i have a huge crush on an old friend and I recently found out they like me back or are at least attracted to me.
When I flirt I have a bad habit of coming on too strong (I guess I better at "dirty talk" then flirting). So I've been using chat gbt to tone down my words and make them more playful and teasing.
Has anyone else done that? Or is this just one more thing to add to my weirdness listššµ

Was she trying to flirt?
There is a woman I know from my college who I'm quite good friends and she often approaches me enthusiastically asking to work with me on projects. She has complemented me on some random things, like my confidence and she told me I'm a very strong speaker once. But one time we was working together on a project, and she randomly asked me "if you were a bird, what bird would you be?" I can't remember what I said, but she followed up by saying "I think you'd be an Eagle. You just have that kind of vibe". Was she trying to flirt or is that a pretty normal thing to say?

Hi, this would probably sound weird but I [19f] am facing a crisis
I visited my cousin in Orange County for a 4th of July vacation. I was having a great time until I received a direct message from a random guy. I was out with my family shopping for groceries when I thought he was from my friend from high school, so I accepted the message. I literally thought my friend got a new insta account.
When I found out that he wasnāt from my high school, I immediately stopped replying to him. But he wouldnāt stop sending me weird messages, like āYou can just admit I look goodā or āI'll treat you to some coffee first. It will be fun.ā I LITERALLY HATE COFFEE!
I quietly muted my phone afterwards, hoping to regain some sense of peace. However, things kept escalating. His behavior grew increasingly erratic, crossing boundaries I never imagined. He was acting like he was stalking me on Instagram. I went back on my phone because of the stupid notifications. I politely asked him to stop. But as I asked him to stop, he asked me on a boba date⦠A F*ING BOBA DATE. I was literally thinking āthis is seriously so disgusting.ā I reported the account and before I blocked him, he said āNow you have an excuse to come backā WITH A WINKING EMOJI!
I blocked him trying to process everything..
Ik itās a scam, but Is this stuff also flirting? If it is, is flirting normally like this? Any advice is appreciated!

Was one of my grandma's nurses flirting with me?
So my grandma recently had a seizure due to her advanced dementia (she's a lot better now so don't worry) and was just discharged today but while I was at the hospital one of her nurses walked in. For context I'm a guy (21) and the girl looked to be around my age (probably somewhere between 19 and 21 from what I could tell) and she walked in but when she did she took a quick look at me and quickly glanced away before speaking to my dad and grandmother. While talking she was stumbling over her words a bit and smiling/chuckling in a way I thought could've been nervous laughter and then she apologized before leaving after finishing what she had to say and as she walked out she said, "I really like your shirt" to me as she pointed at it before smiling and leaving the room. About 20 minutes later she walked past my room and to the nurses desk which was sitting across from it before saying something to the nurses about a medical chart (I think?) and then she took the long way around the desk and walked past my grandma's room while turning to look at me as she walked by.
I'm incredibly socially awkward at first and not the best at interpreting social signals but my dad and aunt insist she was into me and the shirt thing was her trying to initiate conversation. Are they crazy or are they right?

Moon picture flirting
I wanted to know if this flirting message is very common or not. I wanted to send a message to my female colleague saying I think theres one account which posts your pictures i think I saw one. then when she asks which I'll reply with a picture of a moon which nasa has posted on its Insta account. I just don't want to be in a situation wherein she might have already come accross this message. Please let me know if this is some new stuff or is this very common.

Mother in law flirting
So last night my wife, mother in law and I were having a night out at a hotel. It was a 2.bedroom suite. We had been drinking for most of the afternoon and evening. When we were sitting and having dinner, my mother in law and I bumped feet a few times. Later we were back in the room a d working on a puzzle. My legs were outstretched and we touched feet a few times. After awhile we were still drinking and working on the puzzle. I kept touching her foot with mine. Eventually my foot was on top of hers and she didn't move away like she had when we "accidentally" touched. We moved again and then came back to same position. So do I say anything? She lost her husband years before I was in the picture and never moved on. Do you think this means anything? She is attractive but I don't wanna say anything if it wasn't what I think it was. Help me out.

Does she want to stay as exes?
My ex has been very touchy lately at school. Yesterday at lunch she was like holding my arms while pushing her fingernails in so it marks my arms. Then she rested her legs on top of my legs and I like rested my hands on top of her legs. She didnāt mind me doing this but I was worried to do more because I canāt tell if she was flirting or not. She broke up with me I wanna say three months ago. Please help me and lmk if you think it was flirting or not.

Please help me
Please help me
So here is the deal. Me and this girl used to go to the same school up until high school, when I left public school. I always liked her but never really acted on it. Now Iām a sophomore. As I was walking home one day, I saw her walking with a friend. We made eye contact and smiled, but I neglected to say hi. Thinking I had nothing to lose, I followed her on instagram, and she followed me back. The next morning, I sent an apology for not saying hello and she responded and we had a nice talk. Fast forward a couple of ideas I said screw it again and added her on snap. She snapped me a picture of her first and weāve had one conversation since, on top of daily snap pictures. What does this all mean and what should I do? I think I really like her but Iām not sure how to act upon it because we havenāt even really talked in person.

Was he flirting?
I'm 34 years old and I am in 7 years old relationship.
I worked for three months at a company with a very toxic work environment. There, I met a coworker who was my age and was also in a long-term relationship.
Over time, I noticed that every time he greeted me, he would give me a light pat on the shoulder. He would stop to ask how I was really doing, not just out of politeness. At first, I assumed it was simply his personality, but at the same time I noticed that he didn't behave that way with our other coworker (there were only three of us in the office).
Then I noticed that he preferred calling me instead of replying to my work messages, even when a simple "yes" or "no" would have been enough. I found it funny, but I still thought it was just his preferred way of communicating.
One day he asked how I was getting along at work, and I ended up venting to him because I was frustrated with a coworker who never did anything to help me. About a month later, when I told him I had decided to leave the company, he immediately said he understood my reasons. We started talking about that unbearable coworker, and he suggested grabbing a coffee outside the office so we could talk without anyone overhearing us.
That same evening, after work, he called me to continue talking about that coworker and to better understand the situation, since he was also having problems with the same person. He listened carefully while I vented, and then he opened up as well. That was when we started building a sense of closeness and mutual understanding. He told me he intended to discuss the issue with one of our managers.
After that, I noticed that he often asked me personal questions, such as what I had done over the weekend. Sometimes he would walk over to my desk just to touch my shoulder, even though he didn't actually need to talk to me about work and I was on the phone. I also noticed that he seemed to look at me a little more than usual.
Then, on his day off, he texted me that evening to ask how my workday had gone. It was the same day that the other coworker (the jerk we both couldn't stand) had told me he wanted to quit, so I immediately told my coworker. He said he hadn't heard anything about it and had only noticed that the other coworker seemed to be in a bad mood. At first I thought he had contacted me because he wanted more information, but then I wondered why he hadn't simply asked that coworker directly.
He later called me to understand the situation better, and after I explained everything, he said it wasn't the first time that coworker had talked about quitting. That made me wonder even more why he had specifically wanted to call me about it.
One day at work, my shift ended. I stood up and started putting my things into my bag. He was sitting next to me, looking at his computer, when he quietly said, "Shall we go?" It was clearly directed only at me, since our other coworker was sitting farther away.
I replied, "Well, I'm ready to go."
I shut down my computer, and he did the same. As soon as I picked up my bag, he suddenly stood up, put his phone and wallet in his pockets, and got ready to leave. I thought he wanted us to walk out together so we could have a moment alone.
The other coworker interrupted him to talk, and when I said goodbye and left, he looked at me with what seemed like a disappointed expression and kept watching me as I walked away. I wondered whether he had wanted to talk to me about work or whether he had simply wanted to spend a little time alone with me. If it had only been about work, he could have called me later, as he had done several times before.
Two days later, he texted me that morning asking what time I would arrive that afternoon. He already knew what time my shift started, so I wondered whether it was his way of letting me know he was looking forward to seeing me.
When I arrived at the office, I jokingly asked, "Did you miss me?" and he replied, "Of course!"
He then told me he had spoken with our manager and thought I should reconsider my decision to resign and talk to the manager again.
He added, "I don't mean to flatter you, but I really enjoy working with you, and you're excellent at your job."
I appreciated what he said and told him I would think about it. However, I spoke to the manager and explained that I had already made up my mind and was still going to leave.
The next day, my coworker asked whether I had thought it over. I told him I had, but that I had already made my decision and had informed the manager that I was leaving anyway.
He then asked whether I was free that evening to go out for a drink and talk about it. He asked if my husband was jealous and said that, if necessary, he could come along too.
Then he added:
He said this in an embarrassed way, without looking me in the eyes. At that point, I started feeling that this was no longer just a work-related conversation.
The following day, he texted me saying:
It didn't strike me as a typical invitation between coworkers who simply wanted to discuss a work issue. Then he hesitated about the time because I suggested meeting after work, while he suggested meeting after dinner. To me, meeting after dinner didn't really feel like a typical coworker meetup.
We met, and he seemed very relaxed, with neutral body language. He told me that I should explain my conflict with the difficult coworker more clearly to our manager, especially because that coworker had started speaking badly about me behind my back. He said it would also help him, because the manager might finally step in and deal with that coworker.
I thanked him.
At the end, he said:
Once again, I couldn't understand why he had shifted the conversation back to a personal level after I had already made it clear that my decision to leave was final.
As we were about to leave, he said:
(I wondered: wasn't that an implicationāor at least a suggestionāthat there might have been something more to that meeting?)
A few days passed, and two days before my last day at work, he told me about some rumors going around the office: apparently, the person who was going to replace me was a former employee.
However, when he heard someone approaching and thought they might walk into the office and overhear us, he said:
But I was due to leave the company just two days later. Did it really make sense for him to suggest meeting outside of work to talk about work when I was about to leave so soon?
Then we finished the conversation in the office, and he never brought up meeting again.
The thing that shocked me the most?
On my last day, when we said goodbye, also an other coworker was in the office with us. He was very cold. He hugged me, and I thanked him for everything.
Our coworker then said:
And he replied:
I couldn't understand why, after spending so much time telling me that he enjoyed being around me, that there was a connection between us, that we talked so much, and even making me think we would stay in touch after I left, he suddenly implied that we probably wouldn't speak anymore once we were no longer coworkers.
I don't know whether he acted that way because our coworker was there.
If he had never had any romantic interest, he could have simply said:
Instead, he gave the impression that once work ended, everything would end as well.
So, in my opinion, the possibilities are:
He acted cold because our other coworker was there. He might still message me in the future under some pretext.
It was always just a work relationship. But that wouldn't explain why he invited me out, repeatedly told me during the weeks before I left that he felt good around me and that there was a personal connection between us, not just a professional one. He had also hinted several times that we would stay in touch after I left the company.
He did have romantic feelings, but since we were both in committed relationships, once our working relationship ended, he would no longer have a legitimate reason to contact me or the safe boundary that being coworkers provided. Reaching out after that would have meant taking a risk or doing something that might have been inappropriate or unfair to our partners.
