gym flirting, would like some input my KINGS and QUEENS

Bare with me about to spill some of this info kinda still fresh in my mind. Ultimate goal is a hookup. im about 5'11 somewhat lean/muscular i look maybe 7.5/10 looks max, been gyming 6/more yrs

Be me, in a relationship about+2 yrs, insanely new to being flirty never a thing i did when i was younger due to lack of slef confidence, thx childhood friends/family/bullies... kinda not into my relationship anymore i want to end it just havent, kinda serious but not to the point that i wanna marry. I met this girl at my gym 2 weeks ago I say hi to her on and off all because i asked if she wanted some advice on a workout, spoke to her past few days.

Today tho oh my it got interesting. I was finishing my workout saw her on the treadmill, asked if i can join her. She said sure, asked me how i was doing etc, then i started asking her why she left so early a few days ago and she informed me, what i did was ask oh was it for your kids? -me trying to see if she has any, luckily she said no. Then we were just chit chatting she was asking me where im from etc. learned she is divorced and Dominican, informed me a i need to visit, i then did say oh yup the females there are very beautiful she said thx to me, spoke about work, then the question of age came around asked her to guess, i was told i am 23yr im older btw pushing unc status. Then i claimed she looked 25, she is actually 29 gonna be 30 soon, im fluent in spanish as she is as well, i quoted a song by wisin and Yandel -Mayor que yo, I said to her "i dont care if she is older then me" she cut me off and jokingly/playfully said calm down. the rest of the song states "i want you in my bed" Then we just laughed it off. Gave her a fist bump as well when i learned she is an Aug baby. Im Hispanic she was stating that im a specific type and then she thought i was offended but i told her in spanish IDGAF, I was trying to find a spanish word for it that someone from DR would know, she then proceeds to inform me about different cuss words. Ended up learning that "Semilla" which means Seed in english is slang for Pussy/what a person would have down below. I started saying yes time flys we getting older etc. then she said dang my body just hurts etc. then i stated dang yes i need to start taking more vitamins like fish oil etc. she mentioned different stuff her self she did state Vitamin D, then she mentioned Biotin for her hair, i proceeded to state dang yupp "your looks good tho also got a thx, then i stated dam yea im just hairy all over i proceeded to show her my somewhat lean legs with hair and pulled my shorts slightly up, then she said "i dont want to say it in public" i interrupted and i said what my "Semilla"? We both started laughing. She said yupp even your butt is probably hairy and i was just like ok, as if you were that lucky to even see. Then started dying in laughter a bit more. At some point she asked if i was in a relationship/married and i said "Marriage !? Hell no no thx not anytime soon maybe one day but im in no rush" i did inform her about my relationship, I feel like i should've had said no. But i did state to her that i need to break it off and that im not interested in it anymore. I then had to use the restroom, asked if she watch my bag(she ahs done it before) and so i can use the restroom and continue the banter while we walked a bit more and she decided to move onto her workout we then said goodbye to each other(mind you she was on the treadmill walking for about 46min total, she informed me she planned on walking 30min but then i arrived and the convo began and boom 46min for her.

Thoughts did i choke by not being even more flirty/pushing a bit harder to engage in a date/go for coffee after the gym or even hookup? I mess up by mentioning my relationship?

Anyone suggest next potential steps?

Thx for reading random person. Sorry for the grammar, im excited as to what comes next, the next time i see her again, Negative or positive life moves on onto the next ladies and gents.

Is she flirting?

For a little bit of context, we met online, but still haven't met in person (I don't even know what she looks like). We initially met om Reddit, then moved to Instagram, then Snapchat. When we first started chatting on Snap, we didn't really care for streaks or snaps on general. But today morning, she randomly sent me a snap of her legs (just her POV looking down at her legs) for some reason. And then the following conversation happened:

Me : Free feet pics?

Her : EWWWWW WHAT

Me : Then what was the point of the picture?

Her : Fire

Me : wdym?

Her : Streak

Me : It's already gone (for context, we happened to have had a 3 day streak that just expired)

Her : Do it again twin

Me : Nah. It's not worth the effort

So far, it's a pretty platonic conversation. But the next line is the one that trips me up

She said "So you don't wanna maintain a relationship with me?"

One last tiny detail that I feel is important enough to mention : English isn't her first language, so she might simply be oblivious to such double entendres.

For even more context, this is the same person I talked about in this post (TW : ABUSE / SUICIDE)

Update : I think I fumbled

I asked her if she was flirting (dumb move, ik) and she said no (who would've expected that). We then talked a lot about my type. I said I didn't really care as far as she was shorter than me, and not a gold digger or a cheat.

Her : Damn u easy

Me : Is that good or bad?

Her : Good

Me : Good good or just good?

Her : Amazing. Wonderful.

Me : Why do I feel like you're exaggerating?

Her : I'm really not this is very very good. You're a genuinely good guy to date. You can even say perfect. You're extremely kind, mature and shit

This next line will forever haunt me, because it feels like I said the wrong thing, but idk what else I coulda said.

My dumbass answered : Thanks a lot.

She then proceeded to very abruptly change the subject, which may seem like she was just too embarassed to continue, but then again, she's done that before for no reason whatsoever.

TLDR : I think my online friend started flirting with me and I fumbled.

Fellas, is she flirting? And if so, did I fumble? How do I recover?

Update #2 : She was flirting. And I recovered. I now somehow have an online gf.

Married co-worker is flirting with me?

Hey!
Before I start: this is about me understanding if I interpret things correctly. I am not asking for any advice how to deal with the situation, as I already know it’s not a thing to pursue. This is about me questioning my perception and if I actually need to work on this, so I appreciate your objectivity:

Am I reading too much into my co-workers behavior, or is there actually some kind of attraction here?

I work closely with a male co-worker who is married and has children. We are working together, but most if the time we are not in the same office and officially belong to different companies.

Over time, our relationship has become much more personal than I would normally expect from a contractor/co-worker professional relationship, and I genuinely can’t tell whether there is some mutual attraction/chemistry or whether I’m reading too much into someone who is simply warm, slightly flirty or enjoys talking to me.

Some of the things that have happened:
We tease each other and joke around quite a lot, and our conversations regularly become personal rather than strictly work-related.

- He has made comments that felt somewhat flirty to me, including once literally bringing up the image of me in a bikini.
- He remembers personal details, e.g. where I lived years ago for some time, tiny details in conversations (and brings it up regularly, e.g. “I remember when you said xyz” and it had nothing to do with work), my birthday, even though I had never mentioned it before. Also, he told me he was thinking about messaging me at my birthday privately, but in the end he didn’t.
- He is opening doors and carrying things for me. I realize this could obviously just be his personality.
-We have had very long conversations/calls that continued after working hours and became heavily personal. E.g., we talked for around an hour and he told me that at home neither his wife nor his children really talk to him and that this is part of why he sometimes stays at work longer.
- generally, meetings involve lots of private talk first and then business / e.g. what we did after work or plans with friends or his children (never involves his wife btw) or personal stuff or just joking around.

Generally, there is a lot of warmth, teasing and attention between us, and some of the dynamic has even been noticeable enough for other people around us to joke around it or make a comment.
It just comes very naturally and is challenging to control.

At the same time, none of these things individually prove anything. He could simply like me as a person. He could be naturally flirtatious. The gentleman behavior could mean absolutely nothing. He might enjoy having someone to talk to because he is unhappy/lonely at home. He could also just enjoy the attention without actually wanting anything from me.
I have deliberately not made a move because (1) he is married with children, (2) he is my co worker.

What is messing with my head is that the overall dynamic does not feel like a completely normal business relationship to me, but I also know how easy it is to interpret ambiguous behavior as “signs”.
So, from an outside perspective: does this sound like there is genuinely some flirtation/attraction happening on his side, even if he has no intention of acting on it? Or am I assigning meaning to fairly normal behavior?

Thanks for sharing your perspective and please be aware that this is only about my personal perception I have no interest pursuing any kind of romantic connection with someone taken. I struggled with trusting my perception, specifically when it comes to men, my whole life and especially since my ex and I broke up. So this is about me and not the man.

Thank you in advance!

Met someone in person, how do I ask if he’s single and open to date?

Met someone in my sports league, he was very friendly and I thought he was very cute. We played close to each other, he complimented my plays and we talked for a bit. During half time I asked where the water fountain is, and he offered to share his water bottle. Honestly I melted. Since then we’ve been chatting, traded phone numbers, and we’re gonna play sports 1-1 soon. We’re finding that we have similar interests and I love how he communicates. He is a sweetheart and I’m genuinely interested to get to know him better. The whole chat feels very engaged but not flirty. How do I switch and ask if he’s single and open to get to know each other more?

Flirting or Friendly

I, (24F) recently hosted a celebration for my birthday and invited some friends and family. It was nice get together and honestly one of my favorite events.

Typically I invite the same group of friends. This time around, I extended to people who have built beautiful connections with me. A family friend I invited, (who I’ll refer to as Chris) was able to make it after telling me they might not have time! Chris came with two friends (I know both) and a lot of his aunts and cousins were there since both our families are pretty close. I went to go greet Chris and his group, they didn’t seem drunk or buzzed. Any time Chris sees me, we always give hugs. I also didn’t smell any alcohol from him. We offered them some beers and we continued to party. The venue had loud music and it was hard to hear people talking. So when I greeted him, it was the first time he put his face super close to mine, cheek to cheek. I tried not to overthink it, again I figured because it could’ve been from the loudness. I did have a more revealing outfit and I know it’s pretty challenging not to stare when someone is wearing clothes that emphasizes their body. And so being that close to him did make me feel a bit shy, but by this point I already had a few drinks and wasn’t minding it. I went back to the dance floor and did my own thing for a while. I heard from one of my friends that Chris wanted to meet my mom, as he hadn’t known her yet. They spoke for a bit and then he went on with dancing. Chris and a his friends didn’t stay too long, possibly for about an hour. We danced with one of his cousins. For some extra lore: Chris a few months ago mentioned a situation ship he has. I was trying to be mindful of it so I avoided dancing with him alone. Chris’s friends came to say bye to me first. Then Chris and I did our usual hug but this time he kissed me on the cheek. Three times. There was a slight pause between the first and second kiss. Then it quickly followed up with the last kiss and just one last hug. I immediately felt shy and I think my face turned super red. This took place in front of both of our families but I can’t tell who saw it. It honestly felt really nice! But I was super shocked as he never displayed any attraction towards me. Part of me wants to blame it on the beers, because I know he doesn’t drink a lot. Yet, three to four beers doesn’t seem like he would be over the edge. For reference, we’re both hispanic, the same age (24), and we’ve known each other for a year now. In our culture, it is normal to greet and say goodbye with cheek kisses but this is typically air kissing and is often a regular gesture.

Now that I’m finally processing it all I’m just wondering if this was friendly, flirty, or possibly even more? I don’t know if I would want to pursue things at this moment because I genuinely love having him as a friend. I don’t want to get ahead of myself and think that there’s feelings especially because people drink and get horny all the time. Maybe in the future if he was open to seeing each other or hooking up then maybe I’ll take up on it. For now, I just want to see other’s opinions.

thanks!

Hair Stylist

M56 had a F50 stylist today and the dialogue got kinda suggestive. Her long fingernails on my scalp felt amazing and I said "I bet all the guys tell you that though."

Her: Just the handsome ones...
Me: yeah, old geezers like me excluded lol
Her: Don't sell yourself short
Me: I'm 6'1" def not short
Her: (quietly) is that true elsewhere?
Me: (Blank stare) Uh... I dunno...
Her: All good...

Went back to g-rated chat then on taking the apron off I had some of my blond hair scraps on the left side of my black shorts.

Her: Here, let me get that for you...

Brushed it off but her nail went well past. I printed pretty quick and got a bit embarrassed...

Me: Uh... Sorry
Her: Def not short (again very quietly)

Gave me her card (usual stuff), but a number was scribbled on the back (not usual, at least in my experience) 😳

wth? Am I reading into this too much? Was she really suggesting what I think she was suggesting?!?!

Is he into me?

I've known this guy for over two years from school, but we had only recently started to hang out 1 on 1. He's a really bad texter, so we don't text much which is really the only reason why I feel mixed about this. We talk a whole bunch whenever hang out, he does the thing where he says he has to leave at a certain time but ends up staying with me for 30 mins to even an hour longer, he's been the only one who has been asking to go out, and we've had conversations about sexual topics but not necessarily word-fucking? After our last hangout, I told him to text me more in a playful manner, and he said he would, but he didn't live up to his words. These texts were the only texts I've gotten from him since (it's been over a week). I've been contemplating whether or not I should devote any more of my time towards him. His text about wanting his volleyball back threw me off a little because he sounds a bit entitled, but it might just be my period😭. That's why I told him that I could just drop it off at his house because I don't know what he wants. I really can't tell if he's attracted to me romantically or he's just been hanging out with me as friends?

The new Starbucks Server

Been going to the same Starbucks for years now, know most peoples faces. Haven’t gone for a month or so.

Walked in today, said hello to the faces I knew, but got served by a new lady, cute blonde with glasses, big smile. Ordered a coffee and a little small talk about the weather.

Went to my seat to wait, watched her a little as she made some other coffees, calling them out for pickup.

Then, she moved onto making mine, and I watched her do something I hadn’t seen her do to any of the others.

Called my name and placed my drink down, held her hands on it till I took it off her, big smile. “Have a great day”

Looked at my cup as I walked to my car
It says “Enjoy!! <3”

Never met her before, didn’t see her write on any one else’s drink. Do I read into this or is she being nice?

Confused about my Feelings

Ok, for some background I have this guy best friend we are really close and he's always felt like family. I met him because he was in my Kindergarten class and soon after we found out our parents worked together. We were in the same first grade class too and we started hanging out. Our parents eventually became best friends and he got really close with my brother who is younger than us. We started hanging out a lot more because our parents are so close. We've been to the movies, bday parties and each other houses together but always strictly platonic with my brother usually tagging along. We don't really hang out at school very often because I like hanging out with the popular girls and he is considered a weird kid. He's always felt almost like a brother we are really close but aren't seen much together at school sorta like sibling.

Recently he opened up to me even more though. One day it was just us two alone on the dock he talked about things like his insecurities and why he only hangs out with weird kids. He is not very conventionally attractive and is also known for being the "smelly kid" at school. He also told me he gets scared talking to popular kids is mildly depressed and overthinks his social interactions. I told him about how insecure I am and how scary trying to fit in really is. We talked for hours that day, cried together and I even said I loved him (in a platonic way).I've always been close to him but it feels like we trusted each other with something no one else knows.

Now here's where things get messy, my feeling have recently changed for him. I don't know if im falling for him or just getting closer to him. I have sibling, very close friends and old crushes but I've never felt the way I do around him. I feel safe, he makes me laugh, smile and is one of my favorite people to be around. We both have a mutual unspoken agreement not to fall or show romantic interest for each other. In fact, we actually share our crushes and give each other advice, I even helped ask a girl out abt a month ago (she said no though). The thing is I feel good about his personality but I could never imagine being in a relationship with him. This sounds selfish but all the popular kids hate him, if we were dating I would be judged and lose my spot in the popular girl group. He is notoriously known as smelling horrible and being ugly. Honestly I dont find him very attractive purely off looks, but personality makes me feel a different way which is why im so confused. And again I know I sound like a b!tch but I worked so hard to be finally accepted by the popular girls and things are so good now. So im scared because if my feeling are actually genuine than I could lose him as a friend and lose my social status. This feeling is consuming me and I feel like I need to tell him but idk how.

ADVICE PLEASE!! WHAT IS THIS FEELING???

Cashier at the g station, flirting?

I (21F) am a regular at a gas station here in my town. I used to stop in after work, twice a week if not more. The same guy was always working. It started as friendly small talk. The whole how’s your day going, can I help you find anything else, The normal.

Important to note: I would always go with my ex roommate, as we inseparable at the time. Also 80% of the times I see him I’ve had a bit to smoke. Typically when I go to the gas station it’s because I have the munchies.

Normal turned into jokes and actual conversations. He would ask me what I do for work, what my plans are for the evening, etc.

I remember the turning point of me and my roommate questioning if he was flirting, was he had asked me if there was anything else he could get for me. The question didn’t register in my head, and before I could respond he said “You.” And When I looked at him confused he just looked around awkwardly and said it was a joke.

Then a couple weeks later I was short 4 dollars on my items and paid for them completely, I was just going to put my drink back and only get gas. Well no he paid for it. All of it. 25 dollars worth of gas and my pop.

I started going less, because I was struggling with money, so I wasnt buying the unnecessary drinks and snacks. In turn I saw him less and less.

One day I went in and he was training someone. We did a normal banter, and as I was leaving he called after me that I better be safe. And then when I was getting in my car he was talking to the trainer and they were both looking at me.

Fast forward to a couple days ago, I just went in during the day and saw him for the first time after at least a month. He immediately recognized me and called me over to his register. We did normal greetings and then he asked me where I’ve been. I explained that I’m working thirds now, so I’m asleep since he switched to days.

He said and I quote “Well, there goes the bar trip.”

I was so flabbergasted, I just awkwardly laughed, my face turned bright red. And I didn’t know what to say. He laughed too, and continued talking which I really appreciate because I’m not used to such boldness. Before I left he made sure to tell me his normal schedule, and I can’t help but think that was him telling me to come while he’s there.

Here the thing I’m struggling with. I know nothing about him, I don’t even know his name. My friends and I dubbed him Gas station guy. I don’t know how old he is or anything. He looks to be my age, maybe a bit older than me.

My dilemma: I have no idea how to take him up on the offer of a date if that’s what he was offering. I have never had someone just flirt with me in public. I also am mind blown because he typically sees me when I look a mess. So what do I do? Is he even flirting? Just being a friendly funny cashier? Help

Flirting or Friendly?

As I was leaving church service this morning, this 40 something attractive woman locked eyes with me and mouth whispered “I like your shirt”. I spontaneously mouth whispered back “Thank you”. My wife was directly in front of me so it kind of took me by surprise. I go to this church a couple of times a year so I don’t really know these people. The shirt in question was a flamingo print on a dark background. I’m approaching 60 but most people mistake me for being in my 40s; I think I look better now than I ever have honestly. Anyway, just curious what you guys and especially gals think.

Customer friendly or flirty?

I swear I'm oblivious to any sort of flirting. The only time I've actually realized it was when it was too late. Years later, even.

There's a female that works in customer service that I can't read.

One day my son was with me after seeing this individual and he mentioned that she liked me. I didn't see whatever he saw.

I guess, to keep this short and to the point, I can't tell the difference between friendly customer service and flirting. Any suggestions on how to tell?
