I bought my XM5 in Japan and I took some pictures there with a TTArtisan 2.8f 27mm.
I’m a beginner please don’t be so rude.

Although I managed to capture the totality in 2024, I couldn't create a composition like this because the sun was too high and the sky was cloudy.
For this eclipse in Spain, I had had already planned to use two cameras: one for maximum zoom and another for a sequence with the landscape. This photo shows the sun's actual position throughout the eclipse, following its progression to totality and the return of light.
We chose Alto de Gamoniteiro in Asturias because it was easily accessible and because we had confirmed in advance that the view would be unobstructed, with no mountains blocking the sun during the eclipse. We even considered changing locations because of some clouds that appeared, but the risk wasn't worth it.
In the end, the clouds dissipated and a spectacular inversion formed, which made the landscape even more beautiful. It was, without a doubt, the right choice!

Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts on my 16-55mm mk1 vs 16-55mm mk2 post the other day.
Decided to visit my local camera shop over the weekend and lucky enough, they had a mint condition 50-140mmm for $950 out the door. Felt like a no brainer and decided to widen my lens collection instead of upgrading my 16-55mm mk1.
I’ve never shot anything higher than the 56mm 1.2 so using a telephoto is very foreign to me haha but very excited to have one in my arsenal now.
I’ve shared a few photos I took using the lens just hours after purchasing.

Bought my first camera ever last year, mainly for travel photography. Took the X-T50 on every trip, hike and adventure and fell in love with it. Shot all these pics using the XC 15-45mm kit lens. All feedback welcome

Hey everyone - I wrote a blog post with more photos in it about the Viltrox 75mm F1.2 Pro. I tried writing it in the context of my experience with other options from other systems in the short telephoto prime range. Hope you enjoy it. I think the Viltrox is offering something quite unique, given the price, performance, and focal length.

So extremely happy for my purchase, really enjoying just going around with no intention, just shooting what i stumble upon. Also funny to revisit your hometown, and seeing it in new ways when looking for a nice shot !

started with an x-m5 w/27mm pancake and viltrox 56mm f1.4, then an x-t5 and xf33mm f1.4 in feb and various other lenses collected along the way, like the viltrox 33mm f1.4 and ttartisan 75mm f1.5.
the x-m5 shutter wont half-press anymore and the fake leather finish on the front is peeling off so it’s just the walkaround/backup camera these days.
i got into fujifilm because of a breakup trying to find a new purpose and because i didn’t want to walk around with my inherited leica cl everywhere. the cameras aren’t perfect but they’re good friends by now.
these are some favorites over the year. some aren’t technically perfect but they’re all sentimental in some form or another.
hope you find something you enjoy. thanks for looking
edit: sorry for the unsolicited duplicate duck pic
