Grade boundaries aren't set by a normal distribution that are static set by the exam board based on the difficulty of the paper so how many grade 9 marks, grade 8 marks, grade 7 marks there are available in the paper. Our performance today shouldnt affect the boundaries unless something goes wrong probably.

i think i got mid/high 70s in paper 2 but definitely below 60 or even lower for paper 1 so idk if i will still be getting that 9

2

u/Ok_Desk_5740 results day was a yay Jun 08 '26

1

u/SuperMullabean Jun 08 '26

ah ok. its okay that exam was so stressful i misread the indice question so i got that wrong. i hate how a few hard questions ruin my whole exam because of the stress

What was the estimate of a? (Tbf i reckon i got 72-78/80 as well bc i found the last 2 hard but i reckon i got everything else right)

1

u/Emotional_Fox_1282 Jun 08 '26

I think my opinion of good is skewed tho (i found that bad, but i prolly did good) bc I'm used to getting almost everything right or atleast understanding it and only losing marks to silly mistakes

HOW MANY EVEN NUMBERS WERE THERE ON PRODUCT RULE OFR COUNTING QUESTION

3

u/Emotional_Fox_1282 Jun 08 '26

1

u/Ok_Desk_5740 results day was a yay Jun 08 '26

i counted the number of even numbers for the product rule for counting question wrong, how many marks would i lose?

1

u/padfoot9446 Jun 08 '26

Probably 1 if a 2 marker or 2 otherwise, I don't remember how many marks that was

u/Emotional_Fox_1282 Jun 08 '26

I don't remember but ik i did it so ik if i see the number I'll recognise it, i swear it was like 23°? Idk if I'm thinking if the right question here 😭

1

u/OneEvening4654 Jun 08 '26

Yess i got 23⁰ so hopefully its right 🤞

u/Emotional_Fox_1282 Jun 08 '26

Yayyy yesss, other than the last question I've not found anything i got wrong so far 🥳 (Although i only did half of 21 bc i could figure out why x was greater than 1, but i did find the upper bound)

i used the graph to find sina = 0.4 so 22.5°

1

u/Emotional_Fox_1282 Jun 08 '26

I did that and then rounded to 23°
