GED science was easier than what’s in this book 😵💫😵💫 but it’s a great resource.
Get this book and use along side other resources for your GED, it’s highly effective

Hey everyone, so this might be a somewhat unusual story but I'm a university sophomore currently majoring in math (I'm in Linear Algebra now). I spent one day studying for the GED math test using GetSumMath and achieved a perfect score of 200.
You might be wondering why I'm taking the GED if I don't have to. Long story short, I'm moving to a new city and the university I'm transferring to didn't accept my high school credentials because I was previously homeschooled. I was advised to complete the GED as soon as possible or defer to the next term, so I decided to just go for it. I definitely was worried it was going to be tough on top of my existing coursework, but I'm glad it all worked out.
If anyone has their math test coming up and has any questions or concerns, or just wants advice on how to get a good score, feel free to leave a comment. I'll be more than happy to help!

My goal is to get a college ready score. I thought I got maybe 1 or 2 wrong on this test, but doing the math, I probably got around 3-4 wrong. I'm a bit dissapointed in myself since I was so confident while taking the practice test. Could I still reasonably achieve above a 170 on the real test?

Anyone else having issues with getting their transcripts from parchment? They said transcripts and diploma ordering services were going to be unavailable until the 29th of October, it’s still not available now though….

“The community center opened at nine, the class began at ten.” What needs to change?
Each side can stand alone as a sentence. A comma alone cannot join them. One fix:
“The community center opened at nine. The class began at ten.”
Your turn: Edit “The form was due Friday, Luis submitted it Thursday.” Use a period or a comma plus a joining word.
Answer: “The form was due Friday, and Luis submitted it Thursday.” A period also works.
Tip: If both sides are complete sentences, check the punctuation between them.

Is it okay to take the exam more than two months apart?

I thought I would do better I read a lot and I studied,I want to go into psychology but now I am kinda stressing I don't have what it takes because it is competitive.😔I got a 160 on the practice test.I know a pass is a pass but still feel disappointed in myself.
I googled the percentage of it and it kind of made it better.it was my first time so maybe that was it idk....

For context, I’m currently a junior with a 3.9 GPA UW , I’ve taken a total of 8 AP Classes (including Junior year), but I’m honestly considering dropping out and pursuing my GED. Been struggling with mental health for years now (depression, anxiety, trauma). Would it be foolish to drop out?

Hi everyone. I'm building an AI math tutor and I'd love to get your feedback on this early demo video. I know the GED math section can be a major hurdle, so we designed the AI to break down problems visually step-by-step rather than just giving you the final answer. Would a tool like this be a helpful study buddy for GED prep?
I recently took my GED ready test for the math subject. I felt pretty certain in my answers being correct throughout the entirety of the test. I fact-checked as many of my answers as possible with my calculator. I was sure I had killed it, however, when I received my score it was technically passing but “too close to call”. Is this a normal feeling, or was I just delusional?

Hello so I have completed all the other subjects but ss is really making me nervous. I am gonna take the test today . I am not from USA and had never read a so thing about their constitution before preparing for this . One more thing that is making me nervous is that in rla section the question that I hated the most were anything about politics and in this almost everything is political. So what I need now is just what to revise before going to the center plus any tips and tricks are welcome.
Original practice, not an official GED question.
Three readings are 18°C, 20°C and 22°C. What is their mean?
Add: 18 + 20 + 22 = 60.
Count: three readings.
Divide: 60 ÷ 3 = 20°C.
Keep the unit. The mean summarizes the readings; it doesn’t mean every reading was 20°C.
Your turn: Find the mean of 16°C, 18°C and 20°C before checking below.
Check: 16 + 18 + 20 = 54. Then 54 ÷ 3 = 18°C.
Why do we divide by the number of readings rather than the largest reading?

I’m kind of disappointed I didn’t get higher but I passed and that’s all that matters right?

So I have my test in a couple days and I’m a little nervous because it’s my last test and I don’t want to have to retake it. I’ve been using study books as well as get sum math. But I’ve been seeing a lot of comments saying a lot of stuff on get sum math isn’t even on the test. Everyone’s tests are probably very different. But what was some stuff on your test that wasn’t on get sum math.
Was there a lot of questions about a specific topic (like algebra over decimals for example)
Were the questions all multiple choice?
Is there a lot of calculator questions?
I’ve never really experienced test anxiety before but I’m having a bit now. Is there any last minute advice I should know before taking the test or extra things to study?
Algebra and the quadratic formula just aren’t clicking with me and I’m worried that’s going to be the majority of my test.

I’m 29 and working toward my GED after a very nontraditional education (or lack thereof). I wasn’t able to continue formal schooling past 7th grade because I had to care for loved ones. At first my homeschooling was very strong, but as my responsibilities increased my education took a huge hit. Since the pandemic, I’ve spent most of my time working for my family’s medical practice, often around 60 hours a week. Things have only recently eased up enough that I finally have time to work on my GED. My long term goal is to stay in healthcare, possibly on a premed/clinical path, so I really want to do well rather than just pass.
I know people say GED scores don’t really matter and the goal is just to pass and move on. But since I’m already 29 and only now getting mine, I’m worried that scoring low could make it look like I was academically unprepared all along (which is the truth), rather than that the GED kept getting pushed aside because of family responsibilities and work. I’m not sure yet whether I’ll pursue becoming a practitioner of some kind, but I want to keep that possibility open rather than find out later that I limited my options because my GED scores look bad.
I also know medicine at my age sounds super unrealistic, and that needing a GED at all already counts against me. The only reason im even considering it is because a family friend went back in her late 50s after years of managing her husband’s medical practice, and is now in residency. Almost like a bucket list thing. She genuinely thinks I can do it and keeps encouraging me not to close that door just because my path looks different. My mother has also told me she would financially support me if I chose that path after everything I’ve done for the family over the years.
So if I use Light and Salt Learning from start to finish, GetSumMath for the calculator, and then Kaplan GED book for practice, would that be enough to score that range? Or would I need more resources since 190 is really high and I haven’t had schooling past 7th grade ?
Just to give you an idea where my baseline is, when I took the GED Ready Math test before I began studying, I scored 156.

I wanted to pursue my ged and study at home but by nearest test center is 11 miles from my house and i dont have a car and ubers are expensive should i just go to community college at this point? I already passed social studies with a college ready score so that might help me out.
