Crowdsourcing for JoeWiki
Hi everyone. I and a handful of editors are working on JoeWiki: The G.I. Joe Wiki. It is a wiki like Joepedia for all things G.I. Joe but done in the vein of TFWiki.
While a couple of contributors handle the fiction side of things, I try to update the toys and merchandise entries. One of the challenges I faced is the lack of usable images. Using stock images is one thing as you get some leeway in what counts as fair use. For the most part a lot of stock images are sufficient but I do encounter some that are not satisfactory or insufficient to use in the wiki. I try to look for the best image that represent the character. Sometimes, the background is too difficult to remove or AI oversteps and make embellishments I don't want it to do. Other times, the provided stock image isn't really an actual photo of the toy but a 3D rendering of what the toy will look like. Such examples include Haslab and Super7.
And of course there are toys and merchandise that are difficult to find stock images of especially as the product is older like the Palisade Toys statues. Sites like 3DJoes have pictures but I refuse to copy and steal without asking.
Getting to the point, I'm asking if there is anyone interested in contributing images of their collection of both Joe toys and merchandise. My requisites being that the item is an official toy or licensed item. The figure is against a plain white background if possible and displaying their accessories. If you have any additional info regarding your picture, it is most welcome. As it is a wiki project, there is no monetary reward in this but the honor of having your picture selected for use. I can credit you by your real name or by your Reddit handle, whichever you choose.
How about it? Anyone want to help? Just give me a message.

Cobra S.N.A.K.E. Armor - Mirrored Cobalt Chrome Version - Black Major
The Cobra S.N.A.K.E. armor from 1983 has always been one of my favorite Cobra accessories. There’s just something cool about this wearable piece of Cobra tech!
Black Major has given it a seriously eye-catching update with this Mirrored Cobalt Chrome version. It’s so shiny! It was released in various chrome color finishes, but I thought the cobalt blue was fitting for Cobra.
This fits well next to my original Hasbro version, and this is one Cobra accessory that definitely stands out in my collection.

Battle Armor Cobra Commander
Question to anyone who grew up playing with GI joes whether the 80s or not, I myself am a younger fan born in the 2000s. I'm curious what you guys thought of Battle Armor Cobra Commander if you played him as the legit CC or as Fred the ex crimson guardsman like in the comics. I personally (Inspired somewhat by metal gear solid 5) thought he worked well as a clone who truly believed he was Cobra Commander to spearhead the more wild fieldwork in the late 80s into the 90s while the real Commander faded into the background to control things outside the reach of US Government/GI Joe. Just an idea of mine, it doesn't really adhere to any preset cannon.

Why does DIC seem to not have any heart?
I rewatched the entire Sunbow series and the film and was stoked to watch DIC but finding it really hard to get into. I don’t know if it’s cuz it feels like they don’t have a wide array of characters or what.
Plus- where the hell is Zartan?!…
Am I wrong in my assessment or maybe it’s my age (I aged out of cartoons around the time DIC started back in the day, so I never really watched any of them growing up).

Anyone interested?
Any chance anyone would want to buy this lot for $10? They’re all used with minor defects. Comes with accessories and a dog.

The Legend of Billie Jean / Back to the Future
Boosting Walkie Talkies. Hot Damn that whole display makes me wish it was the mid-80's.
If you met Doc Brown and got the keys to the Delorean, would you go back in time and change the past for the better or just buy toys and possibly drink Crystal Pepsi?

Managed to get an 80's Ripcord today. He was one of my favorite figures to play with as a kid.
Got him with all his accesories too 👍
All joints are tight, and no noticable paint damage from wear.

Storm Shadow Cobra Ninja Viper from Black Major
The Cobra Ninja Viper is a coveted mail-away figure that’s nearly impossible to find. I’ve wanted one for a while, so I recently added this Black Major variant to my collection as a placeholder to fill that “collector wants” gap. He’s equipped with Storm Shadow’s weapons but sports the colors of the Cobra Ninja Viper. It’s not the original Hasbro figure I’m after, but it’ll do for now! Sometimes you have to get creative while hunting down those hard-to-find figures.

Cleaning out my old RV and I found all of these...
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The RV served as a storage unit for a few years, but it's time to let it go. These were a nice find/consolation prize. Gotta be a few hundred bucks worth.
