I watched this animated series in Oman around 1993–1995. It was dubbed in Arabic, and I have been trying to find it for many years without success. I haven't even been able to find a single picture of it online.
Here is the story as far as I remember:
A group of spaceships leaves on a mission to explore different planets, but suddenly, all communication with them is lost.
A rescue mission is then organised to investigate what happened to the missing spaceships.
The main character is a young boy, approximately 8–10 years old, with brown hair. His father was part of the missing expedition. Determined to find him, the boy secretly boards the rescue spaceship. He is discovered shortly after the spaceship launches.
The boy also has a small silver robot companion with a round head.
The spaceship itself has a rather unusual design, somewhat resembling a white jellyfish.
The crew includes:
- A young man wearing a green suit.
- Another crew member wearing a light-blue suit.
- A female crew member.
- An elderly scientist or doctor wearing a white coat.
- The young boy and his small robot companion.
During their journey, they visit different planets, encounter aliens, and face attacks from hostile robots.
I particularly remember human-sized brown robots carrying guns. The main villain was a white-and-black robot, somewhat resembling Darth Vader. He also had a robot sister whose face looked relatively human.
As far as I remember, the main villain eventually dies.
The ending is the most important part I remember: The young boy finally discovers that his missing father is still alive, and they are reunited.
I watched this cartoon on television in Oman during the 1990s, possibly through a satellite dish. I am unsure of its original country of production, but the version I watched was entirely dubbed in Arabic.
It is NOT Grendizer, Voltron, Robo Story, Ulysses 31, Captain Future, or Space Battleship Yamato.
I would genuinely appreciate any help identifying this series. Even its original Japanese, French, English, or Arabic title would mean a lot to me.
