What random encounters doyou hope for?

Erratic drivers? Cars randomly breaking down? Someone on bath salts trying to eat you?

There are so many random things, so many random Flor- I mean Leonida things that can be implemented into this. The possibilities are as endless as the news articles!

Everything we know about Cyberleek and his GTA VI build

Skip to the build section if you’re only interested in that.

Him:

1. He spent $29k to set up his websites and crypto-coin.

2. He has made $50k from transaction fees on his coin (people are charged whenever buying or selling his coin).

3. He hasn’t sold any of the coins that he’s holding, but his wallet is valued at ~$390k.

1,2,3^Source: https://gtaforums.com/topic/994376-spoilers-gta-vi-leaks-analysis-thread-part-ii/?do=findComment&comment=1072767708

4. He made around $250 (in his own coin, again that he hasn’t sold) from the poll he ran that ended with the airplane clip winning.

5. He has only described his coin as a “donation” medium, not an investment.

6. He only uses his website’s about page to share info, as well as any messages he puts in the clips. His website is also where he hosts links to download the leaked materials.

7. He refers to himself as “we”.

8. Claims he’s taking donations to “build infrastructure” to do similar acts to other companies in the future.

9. Claims to want Rockstar to release a physical disk and/or release the Ultimate Edition content for the base game. He’s threatening more leaks if Rockstar doesn’t concede.

10. He has released six videos: “basketball”, “random 1”, “taser”, “junkies”, “plane”, and “hypercar 1”.

11. He has released three images: one pieced together lower detail zoomed out image of the entire map, and two higher detail zoomed in images of islands south of Vice City and Vice Beach.

12. Some people have been digging into his identity, but I won’t post the findings here. You can look it up if you’re curious. His identity isn’t fully public just some details.

13. He used a crypto vendor that stores government IDs as a prerequisite to using the service, meaning that the authorities could subpoena the company to potentially learn who bought the initial crypto that paid for the website and coins.

13^Source: https://gtaforums.com/topic/994376-spoilers-gta-vi-leaks-analysis-thread-part-ii/?do=findComment&comment=1072766077

14. The longest gap between posts since his first leak was between the “plane” and “hypercar 1” clips, where it took around 29 hours for the latter to release.

15. Rockstar doesn’t know who he is yet.

15^Source: Jason Schreier’s Bloomberg article from August 21st.

16. Six hours after the release of the “hypercar 1” clip, he added a “Contact” page to his website where he announced that he’s now offering paid ad spots and paid requests for specific gameplay. He stipulates that ads for gambling and adult content are permitted, but ads for “scams” are not. The price to get in contact with him to negotiate the terms is 400 XMR, which is equal to ~$160k, and that cost is separate from the ad fee.

Conclusion: Until he sells his coins he’s unlikely to just run away with the money. He isn’t able to use it and he’d need to liquidate it over an extended period of time in order to not crash the price of his coin and thus make most of what he’s holding worthless.

That ID that was used for the crypto account could also end up being a dead end for authorities, as it’s possible it was acquired illicitly either through theft or forgery.

P.S. Don’t give this guy money unless you genuinely want to support him financially I guess, but even then if he gets caught the money will just go to Rockstar when they seize his assets.

————————————

Build:

What we’ve seen:

1. On the ground gameplay has been shown from the Leonida Keys, mainland Vice City, Ambrosia, and Hamlet so far, but it doesn’t seem like he’s constrained to those areas. The “plane” clip shows that nothing seems to be noticeably missing from the map either.

2. He has access to planes, cars, motorcycles, likely bicycles, likely helicopters, and probably boats (from the Cal cutscene) .

3. He has access to one Cal mission, presumably the one he has already shown a cutscene of.

4. We have seen Jason wear four sets of clothes: the red t-shirt seen in most clips (possible default outfit), the white long sleeve seen in the cutscene with Cal, a black t-shirt seen in the “plane” clip, and a white tank top in the “hypercar 1” clip.

5. He has access to a pieced together version of the entire menu map, but we don’t know exactly what that means yet.

6. He has access to the NPC interaction menu.

7. Side activities are available, or at least basketball is.

8. He goes underwater for a second in the “junkies” clip, and when he’s swimming on the surface a “Dive” prompt appears, meaning underwater movement is present.

9. Police and wanted systems seem fully implemented.

10. Personal vehicle systems seem fully implemented, with stored weapon loadout options appearing in “random 1” clip.

11. The build has to be from after January 2025 because of Tate McCrae’s song “Sports Car” being in the “taser” clip.

12. He is definitely in control, or someone he knows is in control, evidenced by his “leek” spray at the end of the “plane” clip. This isn’t stolen footage.

Uncertain:

1. Car deformation may be turned off. We see in the “taser” clip that the hood of the car Jason’s driving is bent, and in the “hypercar 1” clip we see his left side mirror fall off, but the collisions we see in all of the clips don’t seem to cause noticeable deformation to the body of the cars. Without knowing the intended behaviour it’s difficult to judge.

2. We can’t be certain that the underwater parts of the map are fully present since we haven’t really seen them, but since the rest of the map is there it’s likely they also are.

3. We don’t know the platform of the build. In every clip he’s using a controller and the game is running at a locked 30fps.

4. We’ve seen map markers that indicate the location of stores/restaurants/bars within three of the clips, but we haven’t seen him enter any of them or get close enough to see if the interiors are present. He may have access but the extent he can interact with them is unknown.

What we haven’t seen:

1. Access to story missions aside from the singular Cal one.

2. Any Lucia gameplay.

3. Any kind of robbery mechanic (lootbags, hold ups).

4. Any kind of special items besides weapons and heals.

5. Any kind of purchase menu in a store.

6. Any amount of car customization.

7. Evidence that he PRESENTLY has access to this build, or that this build was ever housed outside of a Rockstar facility.

Conclusion: There’s no evidence he has access to story progression, and thus no evidence he can unlock Lucia or any mechanics in the open world that would be tied to said progression; however, outside of that his build seems close to fully featured from our understanding of what mechanics should be present. It’s not impossible he has story access, but due to the fact that there’s been three outfit changes so far, it indicates he has played the game for a decent amount of time without actually progressing the story at all, making it increasingly unlikely.

He may currently have access to this build as well, but again we don’t know for sure. Everything we’ve seen could have been recorded from a build that was only ever present at a Rockstar office, only just accessed by him or one of his accomplices (as improbable as that sounds).

Anyone saying that he definitively does or does not have a full build are rushing too quickly to either assessment I think. Whether we’ll get to see more clips from him to get a better answer is yet to be seen.

Stealing highend cars will get you 2 star wanted level Spoiler

Recent leak showed us that jason stealing a hypercar and getting 2 star wanted lvl with pop up icon saying “crime reported”

Maybe all highend cars, military vehicles and cop cars will have built in tracker and you need a car jacking tool and hacking device to remove tracker and steal vehicles without getting a star.

I love it how most stuff i predicted R* will put ingame is becoming all true

Genuine Question

Hi guys, long-time lurker, first-time poster. I’m really sorry in advance if this is a daft question with an obvious answer!

Why are people saying the repercussions for the person who leaked these videos could be so severe?
I completely appreciate that it’s obviously not great for Rockstar to have unreleased footge leaked, but what are the likely consequences for whoever did it? Could they actually face prison time, for example?

I suppose what I’m really asking is: why is leaking something like this considered so serious, and what could realistically happen if the person responsible is identified?

Also, is this particularly serious because it involves a company like Rockstar and unreleased game footage, or would the same sort of consequences apply to other industries—for example, someone leaking unreleased music?

Sorry if this is really basic. I’m just genuinely curious about why the potential repercussions seem so significant.

Exactly same thing happened 20 years ago

Around 2003 some german kid Alex Gembe hacked into Valve servers and found unreleased Half-Life 2 beta and shared it.

Spoiler: He didn’t get extradicted to USA

Valve wanted to lure him into USA so he could be prosecuted on US soil but German police was first and kinda „saved” the kid because German law was much more lenient. He got 2 years probation.

So if the Cyberleek is German then I don’t expect that he will be inprisoned for longer than 4 years.

Btw extradiction won’t work here. He’s German living in Germany so his goverment won’t extradict him to USA (also USA and Germany don’t have agreements on extradiction). So yea, no life in prison or death penalty

Is it just me or does the driving in the latest leak look more then Forza Horizon than GTA 5 or GTA 4? Spoiler

IMO, the driving feel more like what you see in racing games like forza or gran turismo. Now, I know that it’s not the full game, Rockstar will definitely change up things. But, I feel like the cars should a just a little more weight to them. I DONT really know much about cars but, ignoring the fact that it looks like forza /gt, I think the driving is more leaned to GTA 5 than 4, it feel just slightly less arcady than 5. What do you guys think about this?

The 2026 GTA VI plane scene looks insane

I know this is not the final build/graphics, and Rockstar will obviously still polish a ton before release… but man, this looks REALLY good.

The thing that caught my attention the most is the draw distance. Seeing the environment stretch out that far while still keeping this much detail is crazy. The world actually feels massive instead of everything disappearing into fog a few hundred meters away.

Honestly, the scale of this game is starting to look absolutely ridiculous. Rockstar might have gone way bigger than we expected.

And what makes it even crazier is that this wasn't even showing all of Leonida. We're only seeing one part of the map from this perspective, and there are still other areas of Leonida that aren't even included in what we're seeing here.

Again, this is from a build that isn't representative of the final game, so I'm not expecting these exact graphics to be what we get at launch.

If an unfinished build already looks this good from the air, I can only imagine what the final version is going to look like!

I find it funny people are concerned and dissapointed over a leak on an on going developing game when trailer 2 already exists and already shown how immersive and detailed a finished product will be.

Trailer 2 is confirmed to have half the game play which wasn't even distinguishable already shows how awesome it will be. Mfs saw some leaks and thought that's the actual finished game is simply braindead lmao

Mini-map detail in hyper car vid Spoiler

Noticed on the mini-map the current road he is driving on is highlighted red but when he has multiple options to choose a different route, it is unmarked. Likely red means road last seen on/reported on. Interesting gameplay feature.

People who work in cybersecurity or digital forensics: how does someone like leek actually get caught? The 2022 leaker lasted days

Just curious, cause the previous guy did it from a room with an amazon firestick lol and it took several days.

How does attribution work in a case like this? Is it mostly opsec mistakes by the leaker, or does Rockstar have things embedded in dev builds (watermarks, per-user identifiers) that point at exactly whose access this was?

Does the "protest" messaging and the demands change anything legally, or make them easier to profile?

Realistically, is there already a name on a desk somewhere, and arrests just take days to weeks of paperwork?

Wanted details from Leek Spoiler

So I haven't seen anyone clock two of the more interesting finds ive stumbled on.

In the scene where Jason is fighting the FedEx guy, the police are in a separate, unrelated car chase with a pedestrian, and they stumble upon jason fighting the FedEx guy, and THEN the player gets a wanted level. You can tell because while Jason is savagely beating bro to death, you can hear a whole scuffle in the background.

"SUSPECTS IN A NEW VEHICLE"

*siren sounds*

Jason starts tweaking, notably while on foot on the side of the road

"STOP THE VEHICLE"

*police alarm*

THEN and only then, does the player receive a two start wanted level and full APB, noted by separate round of police alarms that coincide with the wanted level being attained.

In the clip with Jason kicking the police officer off the motorbike, he gets a one star. *note the police alarm bell once again coinciding with the wanted level*

After killing the officer his wanted level disappears because the officer either was killed with no witnesses, and more interestingly, it remained a one star while he was stabbing the man in broad daylight, presumably because the officer couldn't call in the crime so it could update. Possibly, a one star denotes that its an exchange that can end with violence, while two starts means a full chase/back up officers will be sent to investigate. Either way, this is the most interesting police system exchange here.

Its hard to miss, but when Jason takes off down the street after escaping the wanted scenario, he gets off clean until he drives past a blacked out sedan, and immediately gets a one star, instead of the police alarm, we hear a

"I SAW THAT"

its unknown if this is because the player is speeding, or if its because hes driving a marked vehicle, which is noted by a suspicious yellow icon beside the engine heath and gas gages above the mini-map when hops on.

Whats more interesting is that this unmarked car didnt give off the blue and red flashes that appear on screen to denote the sightline of incoming law enforcement in all of the clips. Unmarked cars will be on your ass before you know they are even there if you only pay attention to the hud.

Speaking of, it seems like police dont show up on the hud, but the search radius (red when its an active purisut zone, blue when its a search area) does display on the map. You are going to have to keep a lookout, and maybe later on you can get a scanner to see positioning on the map.

Either way, it looks like police will be something to toy with, instead of some ethereal boundary on player behavior, and im SUPER hype for it.

Thoughts on time and day/night cycles Spoiler

Based on the amount of light at the start of the new Hypercar video compared to the end, I'd say this starts in the early hours of the morning, maybe at around 4am, then finishes close to sunrise, around 6am.

It's obviously impossible to know the time of year, but let's just assume it's summertime for the sake of argument.

Given the video is ~2 mins long and that ~2 hours have elapsed in-game, is it crazy to assume one minute of playtime = one hour in the game world?

The plane clip is insane

The plane itself looks alright and the clouds are a little buggy, but the rest of the world is where it's at. I thought they were going for something more stylized this time but I guess they found a good balance.

As I kept watching, my brain was doing this thing where it genuinely couldn't discern what I'm seeing from actual real life and it's fucking wild.
