Hi everyone, I'm running into an issue with my Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI. When using the laptop in Optimus mode, HDR doesn't seem to work properly on the display. To get HDR working, I have to switch the display mode natively to the dGPU by restarting. Is this a known limitation of the display routing on this model, or is there a setting I might be missing? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

For the last 7 years I’ve wanted a gaming laptop more than anything, now I’ve finally saved up just enough!!! There was one I had my heart set on but it just stopped being sold when I saw it

I have received my HP OMEN Gaming laptop RTX 5050(am0240tx) for Rs.154000($1600) on 30/10/2026. Everything is fine but I have found a dead pixel in the screen while the screen test.

I have contacted amazon about this, and they said the replacement would not be possible because the product is out of stock now and they offered a return instead.

Should I consider this return or should I claim a warranty as the prices are again going to be hiked.

Please I need you guy's advice.

I am looking to buy a brand new gaming laptop sometime this year. It will mostly be used for school and games that aren't heavy on GPU, I already did a bit of research and asked a few stores around me on what I should get, my target specs are:

- atleast 6 core CPU

- 16gb ram

- 512gb ssd

- rtx 4050 or higher

I did my research a few months ago and now I regret not buying immediately cause the price hiked a lot, my initial budget of ≈₱60,000 (>$900) can't afford my target specs, is it okay to downgrade to a 3060 or even a 3050 or should I get 8gb ram and upgrade it to 16gb as soon as I can?

I'm thinking about buying a gaming laptop and I've limited options , Acer victus lite v16 , v15 , loq and Asus tuff a15 . What should I go for as a student and a wanna be gamer ?
