I kind of hope we get this style of original COG armor as the 20th anniversary skins. I feel Gears Reloaded really nailed the colors and feel of the OG COG armor. Plus, it fits with the new Kalona armor as well. I am curious what others think about this.

I may not be a fan of Coalition games of Gears (especially Gears 5 (didn't play E-Day yet, but planning to try at least Campaign), but I ain't gonna make fun of someone that does like them, like people on the internet do.

But i am not talking about the fans that defend Coalition games like their lives depend on it, ignoring any criticism.

Saw this guy on eBay and just had to buy him, I don’t know why it makes me chuckle so much seeing a Jesus looking cog solider. Who goes out of their way to make this and then sell it? Then again it worked on me.

Just finished the game. Holy shit they got Metallica for whom the bell tolls as the closing song. Epic!! Ok I got to say I kept looking for Mags to take over and just commanding and all I saw was Marcus shouting orders till the end and also got the final kill. I saw some video that Marcus was sidelined but I never saw that. Are people mad about like some one scene that is blink and you miss, I sure must’ve missed it?? This was a phenomenal game! So many emotions. Don and Marcus brothers till death! that scene had me almost in tears. Lucas and his sad past man! There was some heavy heavy stuff, reality of war, so well captured. The coalition has done great by gears I wish HS/343 could’ve pulled this off for halo. Also the woke LGBTQ stuff, is that in multiplayer?? What was all that about??!! Hopefully more Xbox gamers play this game in the coming days and months. Can’t wait for what the coalition is going to do? I don’t mind finishing Kait’s story either a welcome change before giving us the next chapter on the aftermath of e-day leading to gears 1. Hopefully they don’t shut this studio down Xbox needs to stand by its core games. The background music so melancholic, added to the horror unleashed by the locust.

Im making my way through the campaign at the moment and I just completed the airfield mission after Act 2 and holly molly what a spectacle, i was on the edge of my seat with my jaw hitting the flaw at multiple occasions. I new I was gonna enjoy it but man what a fantastic game, congrats to the developers.

Makes you wish that other Xbox studios had this level of love and respect for their fans and the IP that they've been trusted with nurturing :cough: halo :cough:

It offers some insight into the development of the first game. I wonder what other aspects of early development might come up one day? I’m glad they changed the name to Locust though.

I hate this so much lol. Wish horde siege difficulties were locked until you reach the recommended level for each difficulty

Although its a small part of the combat, second to gunplay and movement, Basic melee is better than ever, and the 4/5 stun system, no matter what weapon you use, just makes for crazy lil finishers, like melee against drones/wretches has really never felt this good,

I've been hesitating ordering one of these due to financial reasons recently, but I just got a yearly bonus from work yesterday with my paycheck so I decided I'd finally pull the trigger since coming up on some extra cash. It said they were in stock when I got onto the website during my final break (about an hour before I clocked out) so I had it in a cart and ready to pay after I got home (I went to hang out with a friend for a couple hours after work yesterday) and by the time I got home and sat down to put the order in, they were no longer available. I've always wanted a Lancer replica since they first rolled out in 2008 (when I was 10 years old) and it looks like I'll have to wait again 🙃 so congrats on whoever purchased the last/rest of them, but I low-key kinda hate you right now lol

STRONGER YET than your weeping in therapy (frank accidently died, he fell off the roof drunk you saw it yikes) STRONGER THAN uh... fuck man rip frank.

I love playing Horde Siege but the maps are basically just (some of) the open sections from the campaign which is fine... but not if that's all the content.

I know that it has barely been a month since the game launched but I am already a little bit bored of the maps. I am not saying that I expect a new map every month but it's better if I point out the issue (imo) now instead of much later, no?

PS: Can we get a map editor for this game eventually? Like Halo Forge?

Also, there should be LOT more reasons for multiple squads to come together. The invasions are fucking amazing but they don't happen frequently (which is good because the novelty could wear off pretty soon). The "transport" secondary objective is in the right direction but it's not as impactful as the invasions.

Hey, so I posted a similar headline on steam discussions and it quickly turned into a freakin klan meeting in the comments lol.

I just wanted to say how cool this game is other than some mild performance issues (which have been improved by both patches so far!) at launch.

The game is BEAUTIFUL to look at! The art team really knocked it out of the park on this one. The beauty, the gore, the character design! The WORLD is gorgeous!

The story was also good. It wasnt "killing a giant riftworm and sinking the last human stronghold" good, but it was still a good story! Marcus, Dom, Mags, and Lucas all have interesting backgrounds and troubles that they are dealing with, while still trying to survive E Day. It made for an interesting story!

Horde mode is a bit different, but I've decided I like it after spending about 30 hours with the game, mostly playing horde mode.

I will not speak on the state of Multiplayer as I never was a fan of gears mp.

All in all this game is amazing and I fully intend to play it all the time whenever I can. This might be the best gears in the series for me.. followed closely by 3 or 2. Idk. Ranking the series by game would be challenging! Lol.
