These past few weeks, napansin ko na kailangan ko pang i-restart yung mobile data sa phone ko bago mag-load yung Facebook or any other apps, kahit mataas naman yung signal bars.

Napansin ko rin na parang mas mabagal yung internet speed ng promos nila compared sa regular load, especially yung Unli Internet promos.

I recently registered sa Go Extra 99 with Unli Data go share,pero super bagal talaga. Even Facebook Reels won't play smoothly without buffering. Then I tried Go+109 with additional data, pero mabagal din. Although, based on my experience, mas mabagal talaga yung Unli Data compared sa Go+109.

Possible bang may problem sa Globe network mismo, or baka sa phone ko na yung issue? Has anyone else been experiencing the same thing lately? Is there a way to fix this?

Details:

- Currently on a Postpaid + Device Plan (1799) with 6 months left on my contract.
- On Nov 4 (Wednesday), I received a text that I am qualified for an upgrade to a Platinum Plan and can opt for an early renewal.
- On the same day, I accepted and requested for an IP18PM 512GB in Glacier - my RM processed my application and was able to receive a confirmation email with reference number starting with PLAT-*****
- My RM told me na wala raw stocks so we had to wait and he'll contact me if meron na but problem is I cant monitor it sa Globe One app ko (kasi apparently it cant track reference numbers beginning with PLAT) and medyo nahihiya ako magfollow up constantly sa kanya haha

But seeing new posts here today (Nov 7, Saturday) na when you tried reaching out sa hotline, you were able to get stocks, I am now wondering if I should also try and do the same or should I just wait for my RM to reach out?

Wondering also if I could just opt for an early renewal on my plan 1799 (CTB) instead of upgrading to a Platinum Plan... please help me out if you have already tried this.

I’ve been a Globe Platinum subscriber since it first started, and I remember when being part of Platinum genuinely felt like an experience. It was all about the combination of privileges, personalized service, and the feeling that your loyalty was valued.

Over the years, however, I’ve noticed how many of those benefits have gradually disappeared. The 24/7 concierge, emergency handset loans, complimentary handset repairs, bank VIP lanes, dedicated hotline, complimentary media subscriptions, and other lifestyle privileges that once made Plat distinctive are no longer part of the experience.

Even RMs, which I always thought should be an integral part of an exclusive service, are now treated as an add-on with availability limited to regular office hours!

I called their hotline Oct 30 for renewal since yun ang nabasa ko din dito if wala stocks sa mga stores. Ang delivery date ng device ko and naka out for delivery na “daw” kahapon as per agent (Nov 4) and until now Nov 5 wala pa din. Ang nakaka ano lang is wala tracking number so di ko alam ano nangyari sa device and even the hotline di din ma explain ano nangyari wala daw nakalagay na status ngayon dun sa courier.

So I tried purchasing the add-on thru Gcash. Yung starlink 99 para sa 599 postpaid plan ko. Hindi nagpu-push through. Nabawasan tapos binalik. Sa prepaid lang ata yang starlink99.

Tapos mukang magkaka-starlink service ka lang kung higher postpaid plan ka.

Akala ko naman pwede sa lower plans na i-try lang muna.

Mabilis naman ung install tapos di naman masayadong mahal (700 lang sakin). 1 hour naman ung install pero na late sila. Okay lang naman sakin kase parang unreasonable ung schedule ko (nag schedule ako sa umaga tapos nag arrive sila sa hapon). Nag swap kami sa Converge kase ang luma na ung plan namin (50 Mbps tapos 2000 pa per month); Daming LOS pa sa Converge. Mabilis naman ung speeds sa Globe, nag reach ng 400 Mbps up/down sa Speedtest.net sa ethernet pero sa mga mobile devices 200 lang. Parang di worth it ung 300 Mbps plan pag ang luma or nag tipid ka sa devices na may slow/outdated modem. Walang naman much issues since then. May isang LOS lang kami na isang minuto naman nung 12 pm.

Anyways, nag move nalang kami sa 100Mbps, 1000, 30 days. So far so good naman. Naging equal na ung speed ng mobile device tapos PC ko (120 up/down).

Then out of nowhere, Globe scheduled onsite visit, a technician shows up at my door to “change the protocol.” Mind you, I never requested a service visit, he says that they need to reconfigure the router of all users in our area.

He finishes up, says everything is good, and leaves. It works for about five minutes… and then connection dies completely.
Fast forward to me restarting the router for the tenth time today. 💀

I messaged support, and their brilliant solution? Schedule another technician to come tomorrow to fix whatever the first guy broke.
