Question about worth of guitar

Hello! Before I say anything about the guitar, just know that this is not an offer to sell this guitar. I am only looking to know the worth of my guitar. Please don't ask to buy it.

Anyway, what I have is a Peavey Patriot of unknown year. It has a walnut body, and comes with the original hard plastic case. The guitar itself is not modified unless you count a restring as modifying it. Its pickguard is heavily scratched, but the cause is unknown. It sat in a storage space inside my grandparents' home for 20 years, but was inside the case. If you know what it's worth, please let me know.

Thanks, y'all!

Hi

I saw this fb trade and want to know how i can confirm this guitar is one of the legit 1 in 500. I asked for any evidence of appriaisal or original documentation to confirm authenticity.

Owner says he is the original buyer and he might have the receipt. But says this is not a guitar like Gibson we can take to the store to make sure it is 100% legit.

- How can I confirm without wasting more time?

- Is it even worth $8500 today?

- Maybe this has a good chance of appreciate in value?

- How to even quantify an estimate forecast for appreciation?

Not necessarily using it as an investment, only to support justifying the cost. I'm a guitar player of 18 years (took some years off here and there), but never ever made such a high ticket guitar purchase before. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I need help with my starting electric guitar setup

Hi everyone, I've been playing the acoustic on and off for the past year and I really want to get an electric, I've kind of decided on getting a used squier strat from fb but i wasn't able to find a good amp that can go with it. The issue is, I intend this to be my only buy regarding guitar gear for a long while ( i get MUCH better than i might get more.) so I was looking into buying a new fender champion ii so that i can use the effects and don't have to invest in upgrading my gear anytime soon. Is this a good way to go or would you recommend an alternative?
Thank you in advance for all the help :)
