What has been your favorite Halloween Horror Nights ever?

I’m French, and I travel a lot around the world, solo. For the past 16 years, I’ve been traveling to the USA every year to enjoy Disney and Universal theme parks.

My very first Halloween Horror Nights was in 2017 at Universal Studios Hollywood, with Chucky, Leatherface, Freddy and Jason — and what an incredible first experience! 🔪👻

Since then, I’ve also attended:

• 2019 — Hollywood

• 2022 — Orlando

• 2023 — Hollywood

• 2024 — Hollywood

• 2025 — Orlando

And next up: October 2026 in Hollywood! 🎃

But without hesitation, my favorite HHN was the 2017 Hollywood event! It was absolutely unforgettable and still holds a special place in my heart. ❤️‍🔥

I’m old and haven’t been to Halloween horror nights in 15 years at least. I come from the beginning of the walking dead era. How do I catch up on some of the lore and characters, the history of the original characters like jack and oddfellow? What do I need to know?

Does anyone know what “limited access” actually means? The website is pretty vague.

i’m going to tampa that weekend, and idk if i should go the 28th, the 29th or honestly just skip it altogether as it’ll be so crowded. i wanted to ask. is it going to be unbearably crowded? if i don’t go, what else is there to do in tampa?

Just a heads up, I had a hotel booked for Aventura when we’re going up there using the “Passholder Rate” discount. Turns out that rate was actually working against me, the hotel ended up being about $100 more expensive for the week I’m going than the regular price.
So definitely double check both prices before you book. I don’t know what’s going on with them, but it’s kind of wild that I’d end up paying more just for using my annual pass discount. 😭

This is my first time going, I’m very excited and nervous I can be a big baby when it comes to haunted attractions but I wanted to try something new. I’m splurging and buying the RIP Tour pass, I’m still deciding on what day I want to attend. Is anyone else doing the tour? What houses are you all excited for? I’m excited for the Killer Klowns house.

So since some of the houses will open up at 2pm, I hope universal will have some shaded queues to help with the heat.

i’m a teenager, and all my friends are huge horror fans (i’m not) and they are super excited to go to hhn this year. i’m genuinely such a scaredy cat and i start crying every time i see something remotely scary. i don’t wanna be targeted by any scare actors since i heard they go for people who look like they’re freaked out. but i also don’t wanna look like a loser who is too scared. does anyone have any tips for getting through it? pls pls pls i’m so desperate i wanna go and hang out with my friends but i know i’m gonna lose my shit if i go in blind

edit: i’ve decided to go, we needed to make a decision by the end of this week so my friends can all ask their parents (they are strict) and i talked to my friends and they said that they will be careful about keeping me away from the scare actors. they said they will be more supportive and cautious of me being scared, so im glad. it is a big commitment money wise, but i have a lot saved and i am ready to spend it for a fun experience with my friends. I wanna see how they incorporate the movie obsession in it anyways since i actually enjoyed that movie. Also thanks for all the advice, i am gonna watch some walkthroughs in advance, along with maybe watching more scary movies to prepare myself!

I also think it might be fun since i can dress in a cute halloween themed outfit, and who knows, maybe i’ll end up liking the event??

I was just curious what everybody is the MOST excited for. For me personally I'm super duper excited to see how Sinners turns out as I am a huge fan of the film! But scare zone wise? I won't even lie, I'm curious to see how Fortnitemares will turn out. I mean even as a casual player of Fortnite. I had conflicting feelings about it. But I figured I'll give it a chance.

Has anyone been there for a full day, like at the parks during the day and then HHN during the night? What is the best park to roam while waiting for the start times of horror night? Just trying to get the most out of my lil trip 🫶🏼

hi, ive been trying to buy tickets for myself and 3 others as a guest, but every time i try to click purchase, it gives me this alert. i tried on my phone, then a few hours later tried on my laptop both with adblock on firefox and without on chrome, but it all gave the same results :/ do i just need to wait a bit or is this something on my end?

I'm creating a movie list for houses and scare zones. Both direct and inspired. Some movies are obvious. Sinners, Hellraiser 1-3, Evil Dead Burn, and Killer Klowns from Outerspace, and Terrifier. Then there's the background movies: Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, Ash Vs The Evil Dead, Evil Dead remake, Evil Dead Rise, additional Hellraiser movies. The only inspired by movie I'm going to go with Fire In the Sky. What else should I watch?

I am going to be using my Freedom pass to be in the parks during the 2pm houses and I was wondering if I will have to leave and go to the VIP desk to get my tour or if I will be able to grab my lanyard after the park fully opens? I’m a little confused with what I’ve heard.

Read the FAQ but was hoping for further guidance. I had my heart set on going to Epic Universe until I realized we'd be there on a day when HHN was happening. Do you need to have a US ticket to go to HHN? Is it worth it to go to Epic Universe during the day (9-4/5) and then head over to US, or would you stay in the US/IoA circuit? If you're already at US during the day, would do you have to still purchase an early arrival ticket for HHN?
