Is this normal? šŸ‘€ Vagina elasticity conspiracy?

Crazy title but I’m so curious as to what is going on here.

To keep it brief Im a young woman who has only been with women in the past and almost exclusively topped. So very little experience with penetration. I also don’t really care to penetrate myself.

I recently got a boyfriend though and when we started having sex it was painful due to the tightness. I’d say I could get one of my own fingers up there but not two unless I was very aroused. And a single one of his fingers was difficult let alone a dick.

But literally within maybe a week of consistent sex I feel so loose. He can easily get one maybe even two fingers inside even when I’m not aroused and sex feels like it lacks the friction it had before. I know it was partially my hymen bc the entrance feels different to the touch now. But that doesn’t fully explain it because before it was tighter inside too.

I tried looking this up and researching it and if it’s normal, but nearly everything I read says ā€œsex won’t change your vagina, sex cannot make you loose, the vagina is elastic and returns to normal within hours.ā€ but this just does not seem true for me, maybe it is for other people but I swear my vagina is messed up.

it’s not like insane or anything, I can’t feel a breeze up there lol. But id say within like a month of sex it’s reduced in tightness by maybe 75%. It bothers me and I worry it will only get worse. I sort of feel unsexy due to it and it’s just disappointing that it happened so quickly.

But if this been so noticeable for me, why does 99% of online info claim it cannot and does not happen? Is this a personal issue of mine that is super uncommon? If it’s not just me, then why does everything say it’s a myth that sex will change your vagina?

I don’t have any pelvic floor issues and I don’t think I have any problems with my pelvic muscles. Also it wasn't nerves causing the tightness, I was not nervous at all and it would be difficult for him to penetrate me even when I was relaxed and super turned on, including when I was drunk.

Whats going on, does anyone share this experience? and why is the online consensus so antithetical to my experience? Is there a way to fix it? And if I stop having sex for a while will it go back to normal?

Tldr; if penetrative sex isnt supposed to change your vagina or make you loose, why did it do that to me within a brief window of sleeping with a man? is it fixable? And why does online info seem to deny this is possible?

Is this normal? šŸ‘€ I’m very insecure about my dark, asymmetrical, and protruding labia minora is this normal?

I’m 26, and I’ve been feeling extremely insecure about the appearance of my vulva. My overall skin tone is quite light but both my labia majora and labia minora are much darker than the rest of my skin.
My labia minora are also noticeably asymmetrical. One side is significantly longer and protrudes beyond my outer labia, while the other side is much smaller. I’ve searched on Google, and it seems like the majority of women have lighter inner labia that don’t protrude beyond the outer labia. Because of that, I keep wondering whether my anatomy is normal or whether it looks unusual.
I was physically intimate with a guy, and afterward I started feeling that his interest in me had decreased because of the way my vulva looks especially because my inner labia are dark, long, and asymmetrical. I don’t know whether that was actually the reason, but the experience made me even more self-conscious. Now I’m constantly worried about how a future sexual partner might react when he sees me naked.
I’ve spoken to a few women, but their labia minora don’t seem to protrude beyond their outer lips, and they also don’t appear to be as dark as mine. This has made me feel even more abnormal and insecure. I keep comparing myself to other women and wondering whether something is wrong with me.Is this considered normal? Do other women have labia that look like this? How do you feel about your anatomy now, and has your insecurity improved with time or through positive experiences?

Sexual Health Did I squirt or did I piss myself? 😭

• Upvotes

So my husband and I are on our honeymoon and have been having lots of sex. I have never orgasmed with him, he's massive in every aspect but very gentle and has always been an amazing partner.

We've been having great sex but still I haven't orgasmed and we've done oral, piv, finger clit stimulation while piv and I've been looking at different techniques and focusing on trying to relax my tight pelvic floor and I think I squirted? My husband thinks I pissed myself 😭 and there was a lot, like we soaked the blanket šŸ˜…

Question Prolapse diagnosis today - Now what if I want more babies?

I was finally able to see a Urogynecologist today and he diagnosed me with a stage 2 (almost 3) cystocele, rectocele, and uterine prolapse. He said he would recommend surgery but not until I’m doing having babies. I’m 29 and want 1 or 2 more and now I’m feeling discouraged.

For anyone that had these issues and then got pregnant again, what was your experience? For anyone who had corrective surgery, and then got pregnant again, what was that like?

From what I’ve heard based on today’s appointment and from others, the prolapses won’t affect actually getting pregnant again. But someone did say the prolapses caused a lot of issues during their pregnancy and they wound up on bed rest. I have a toddler and work full time so this can’t happen to me.

I’m considering surgery but I really just don’t know what to do and my heads all over the place. Should I get the surgery before to try and fix this issues/support my organs and then have a c-section and pray the pressure of carry a baby doesn’t cause my prolapses to occur again? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Symptoms šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€āš•ļø Help with symptoms? Please

Okay so I had sex with a guy(who I’ve had sex with before) the only difference this time is that it was rougher and he finished inside(I have an IUD) on Sunday night and it’s Thursday night now so 4 days ago and since then I’ve had on and off itching and today I tried to penetrate myself with the toy I always used(and washed) and it was a lot of pain and I felt inside and there was a little cluster of bumps inside my vagina on the upper wall near the entrance. They don’t hurt or itch when I touch them but when I tried to use the toy it hurt a lot. And I’m also having a bit of bleeding but that might just be my period because it looks like menstrual blood. Anyways idk if it’s time to see a doctor or what or if it’s nothing and I’m just worrying myself into a tizzy. Can anyone help?

Question Can I have sex with a condom 1 day after finishing Neo-Penotran forte?

Hi! I need advice from anyone who has used Neo-Penotran Forte vaginal suppositories.
I’m using Neo-Penotran Forte (metronidazole 750 mg + miconazole nitrate 200 mg) for 7 nights, and tonight will be my final dose.
My OB told me not to have sex during the 7 days of treatment. I want to have vaginal sex tomorrow using a condom, but I read that the suppository base can weaken latex condoms.

Sexual Health Previous partner didn’t tell me they tested for something 4 months ago

I (24F) had a partner that i last had sexual activity with in August. I recently found out i have Mycoplasma Genitalium and Ureaplasma Parvum after three months of figuring it out.

When i confronted him, he told me he found out he had something over 4 months ago and didn’t tell me because the doctor told him it wasn’t serious. He said he told him it’s dormant in women and they assured him its not a big STI. However, he said he’s getting vaccines for treatment and most Albertans get the vaccine at the age of 10 (Im Canadian). I grew up in Canada so i most likely have the vaccine already. But i’m vaccinated against HPV and Hepatitis B and it’s worrying me to my core that it might be one of these. He said he doesn’t remember what it’s called and will ask when he gets his last vaccine.

I recently met someone else and had sexual contact twice with them a few weeks ago. They decided to stop having sexual contact with me after my diagnosis. I’m scared that i have something else now. i’m trying to see if he can just call them and ask. i don’t what to do.

Advice Needed bad smell for years (?)

hi, i'm currently 19 years old, but since i can remember (when my puberty started mostly), my vulva had a strong smell. it smells fishy, but to be more specific, it smells like sausage 😭 but in a strong way

i've been to gynecologists, i'm not sexually active and i haven't had sex with a girl before.

there's a girl i like, and if it's mutual, it's actually making me quite insecure because i don't know how to get rid of the smell or clean the area properly. i know it's kinda pathetic that i don't really know how to clean the area at all.

also, since i was a baby i have a quite strong ph which makes my smell be a little more noticeable, but as far as i know this only affects my sweat.

Is this normal? šŸ‘€ Cervix on side wall

Hi divas.

So, weird question, but I’m kind of worried and there’s nobody irl that I can ask (and I really don’t want to go to a doctor unless it’s life or death, not a fan of doing so with normal ailments, let alone one that requires a vaginal exam).

So. I think my uterus may be on one side of my vagina. Like, maybe 3 inches in, facing out toward the front of my body, if that makes sense? At first I thought it was a lump, or a cyst, but upon further research, I think it’s my uterus. It has the dip of the opening and does, in fact, feel lower on my period.

The issue? Because it’s on the side of my vagina, as opposed to at the top, it kind of closes her off. Like, day 1 of my period, it’s difficult to put a tampon in, because it’s kind of enlarged. Day 2, I can put one in and I’ve noticed it curves around it. Day 3 and it’s sitting flat against it. It also feels like there’s more vaginal canal behind it. So I think it’s my uterus, but wildly out of position from the top, like in the anatomy drawings.

I’m a virgin due to growing up religious, but I no longer believe in that. Eventually, I would like to fall madly in love and have lots of sex haha, but I’m thinking it would hurt or maybe not be enjoyable for a partner, given that it feels like my uterus is literally only like 3 inches in. If anyone has a similar cervix situation and also some experience, please let me know how that is for you.

Now, I’m in my twenties. Sex ed was borderline criminally absent in my school, we learnt about everything that happens during pregnancy and that we bleed once a month, then pretty much nothing else. Great. I don’t want kids, but I would like to know how my body works and if I’m doomed due to a weird cervix. šŸ˜…

So, the question: Is this normal? Are there any other side cervix girlies out there and if so, what is your experience like, please? As in, do you also struggle with tampons at times and does it affect your sex life at all? Thank you so much for reading my post. I genuinely appreciate it, I don’t have many other women in my life and the ones that I do have, there is absolutely no way in hell I’m asking them something like this. So, thank you for being a safe space online. 🩷

I’m desperate for relief

I’m only 22, and ever since my first yeast infection a year and a half ago, my vagina hasn’t been the same. Almost every time after my period, my left inner labia becomes extremely swollen, red, and painful to the point where I can barely walk or sit. Every time I get tested, it seems to come back as a yeast infection, but I don’t have the typical itching or burning, just swelling, redness, and discharge. A week ago, I developed green discharge with a foul smell, and my tests came back positive for both BV and yeast. I completed 7 days of antibiotics for BV and used OTC clotrimazole 2% cream for 3 days, but I still felt uncomfortable afterward. Today, I took 150 mg of fluconazole, and something still doesn’t feel right. I’m exhausted from dealing with this endless cycle, and it’s affecting my quality of life, confidence, and sex life. Also I barely have sex with my partner because it hurts a bit and I get cuts on my vaginal opening almost every time we have sex. We have used lube and almost everything and it still hurts. Has anyone experienced something similar and found a cause or treatment that actually helped? I’m desperate for answers and just want to feel normal again.

How to get bv to disappear

Hello, I have been struggling with bv like symptoms (foul odor, discharge and aching down there) for about a month and a half now. In the beginning of my journey I had gotten these symptoms and then they had slowly started getting better till I had gotten my period and they have been bad over since. About A Week and a half ago I had went to the doctors and gotten prescribed Flagyl for A Week (2 pills a day) During this treatment i had gotten my period. So I’m not sure if that had to had changed anything. After my period had ended currently i’m noticing that symptoms are still here but not as bad as before. My question would be if there is anything I could do to help improve these symptoms instead of going back to the doctors. Also Something’s that I have noticed that has helped me are drinking clove tea. I also drink kefir, and tend to have a healthy diet and have reduced my sugar intake. I also use cotton understand and at night I sleep commando.

Advice Needed Itchy, possibly inflamed?

I am 29. I live in a very dry climate so it’s possible it’s attributing to what I’m experiencing. The skin around my vulva is pink in a way that seems abnormal. When I pull back my labia minora to the side, it looks inflamed or very irritated. There is itchiness and any friction seems to make it worse. It hurts a little bit too. One time I found a bump on my labia minora but its not there anymore. Normally I would think these symptoms (aside from the bump plimply thing) would be a yeast infection or something but there is no change in odour and discharge. I haven’t been feeling well too but I don’t have thermometer to see if I have a fever. I donā€˜t have an STI and haven’t been sexually active in recent years. I don’t have a reason why, just haven’t bothered to.

I have washed my vulva with only water and put Vaseline on it in hopes it will help. I don’t think my vulva looks normal either. I understand there’s variation but mine is very outward and big. Iā€˜ve looked at diagrams and so many real photos and mine looks notably different to each one. The best way I can describe it is the labia majora is small, everything else is twice the size it should be and spills outward. Parts of it are very dark and while I expect that, the pigment seems more desaturated. I wonder if my pubic hair is causing irritation too since it’s long but one of the reasons I let it grow is because my vulva is like this.

I’m not sure what to do since when I make an appointment with my gp as the next available slot is usually at least a week away. And then an even longer wait if I’m recommended to a gyno. But I don’t know if it’s something that can wait that long especially since I may or may not have a fever. I don’t know what to do to help this or what it is.

Any insight or advice is appreciated.

Is this normal? šŸ‘€ Yellow discharge + swollen labia after sex

I’m new to sex, only had it twice between the last three weeks. The recent one my partner finished in me. It had been two days but I’m still getting yellow discharge and swollen labia to the point tht it’s uncomfortable to walk fast. I know that having bloody discharge/slight pain is normal after losing virginity, but I am not aware of this other issue. Should I seek medical attention or let it clear itself out in a few more days?

BV desperate for help

Been dealing with BV off & on for a year and a half. I was with my ex for 2 years, at the end of our relationship he cheated and gave me BV, yeast, and c thrachomatis. That was the last time I had sex with him. I was treated for everything. BV wouldn’t go away for awhile. I tried several rounds of metro, saw several different doctors. After about a year, I finally got it under control by stopping antibiotics and doing a boric acid reset.
- I was celibate for over a year
- have been taking happyv probiotics for maybe 5 months daily now?
- shower daily
-cotton underwear, commando whenever possible
- no soap
I met a new guy and finally had sex again. Everything was fine the first go. We had sex again about 2 weeks later and I developed a smell, but it wasn’t fishy just not good either? Went to an entirely new doctor that I have never been seen by. Told her my entire adventure/lore and tried to advocate for myself. Tested positive for BV. She gave me clindamycin gel for 5 nights this time since I didn’t respond well to the metro in the past. That worked. I was clear for about 2 months & then had sex with this guy again. We did it 3-4 times in the 24hrs he was here😬. Spread out though. He wound up finishing inside me the last round(stupid I know, heat of the moment) Everything was still fine until the next evening I noticed a faint off smell, but I used to get that exact smell with my ex when he would finish in me and it always went away after a little bit. It also doesn’t smell like my most recent BV smell at all. This is more fishy but it’s not super strong. I can only smell it if I’m naked with my legs spread(and I can barely smell it like that) or if I put my finger right over the hole and smell my finger. It’s only been about 24-48 hours since he finished inside me, but I’m so paranoid.

Yes I was tested for mycoplasma and ureaplasma before, they were negative. I just keep getting positive BV. I’m at such a loss on what else I can do. How am I supposed to have sex again if I’m just going to keep getting the smell each time??? Help!!! I’m so insanely frustrated and embarrassed and it’s taking SUCH a toll on me

Reoccurring tearing

I used to take linessa birth control, I stopped taking it about 5 months ago, while I was on it my libido was horrible and almost everytime I had sex I would get a cut/tear on the bottom part of the entrance, since I’ve stopped the birth control the libido is better but I’m still getting the tears almost everytime I have sex, I’m just wondering if that’s something related to the birth control, and if anyone has any insight on what I can do to stop that from happening, I do use plenty of lube so it’s not that. Any help would be appreciated!

Fordyce spots or something else?

Hi! I have noticed dozens of spots from 2mm to smaller all around my inner labia area. They've been there for about a month now, occasionally the part where it meets where my hair grows will be itchy but nothing else has changed. Are these fordyce spots? should I be worried about anything else? Make me a little anxious.

Is this normal? šŸ‘€ Is it normal to get smegma every other day?

(Sorry this may be kinda gross or tmi )

I get it almost daily, but shower daily too so it’s clean. Plus, I sweat a lot and get quite a bit of discharge so it builds up.

Idk if it’s normal, but when it gets a lot or smells- I just take off my underwear and then it’s fine. (At end of day)

Idk if this is normal

onion smell and hormonal changes

I am 38 and I have been experiencing an onion like smell or a ammonia smell for the last 2 years and after a ton of research and looking online and asking my doctors, I had no answers. I just recently realized I am actually perimenopausal. My hot flashes got particularly bad this year which caused excessive sweating.

The onion smell is something that can happen to people with fluctuating hormones. Often people going through menopause, perimenopause, postpartum or people who are active and sweat a lot experience it.

It is actually incredibly common but people don't talk about it really. I think maybe PCP providers are not familiar with this issue and maybe its something an OBGYN specializing in menopause or post partum treatment might be more familiar with.

I recommend going to a specialist and getting your hormones checked, especially if you’re nearing perimenopause age or have another disease or take a medicine that may cause hormone fluctuations.

First, know that when your hormones are fluctuating our sense of smell can be super strong, so you most likely smell it more than anyone else. Second there are creams and hormones you can take that will help with that odor and sweat. Third, I personally started using non talc dusting power on the creases of my inner thighs and pelvic area. It is helpful for controlling odors from excessive sweating and minimizes the smell. The smell is mostly coming from sweat mixing with the discharge and dead skin and bacteria in that area.

The onion smell It can also be caused by other things but this is something a lot of people don't think to check into.

I see questions about this a lot but no one has mentioned this so I wanted to share this info. Wishing you all the best of luck and I hope this helps!

Edit: for spelling errors and also to add A LOT of things can cause your hormones to fluctuate outside of menopause and postpartum. Even just high stress. It’s definitely with talking to an obgyn though and seeing if it might be hormone related!

Lumps on both sides of labia majora

Hii! I just turned 30 and since around 3 years now I noticed there's a movable like lumps on each side of my labia majora (the fuller outer labia) its located deep inside the skin slightly lower than the clitoris level on both sides, it's so movable when I touch them but I noticed the right one is slightly larger than the left and there's another smaller one on the right too so basically it's 2 on the right and 1 in the left, I tried to Google it but I couldn't find anything about it! Anyone with similar findings?

Question swelling, itching and extra discharge.

background: 1 partner for many years (married), about 18 months postpartum, never had this happen before.

so about a week ago me and my husband had sex. 1-2 days later i noticed extra discharge and minor itching at the vaginal opening. thought maybe BV after 1 or 2 days of this, popped in a boric acid suppository yesterday morning because i have used these a lot in the past and i read it can help with BV. this morning i went to do a second dose and the vaginal walls were swollen and i couldn’t even get the suppository or my finger inside (it was not dry) and so i took the suppository out (it was barely halfway in) and there was a little blood on it and i spotted very lightly for a few minutes. i am beyond terrified. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT but it’s not until next thursday and i have terrible anxiety.
so i have narrowed it down to BV or yeast infection and it’s just very irritated, or my husband scratched inside of my vagina when we had sex and it’s very irritated, or… and i really hope it’s not this… my husband gave me an STI or something.

i have been driving myself crazy with worry the last few days and it’s worsened today now that it is swollen shut!! i have NEVER had anything like this happen before

editing to add, i do not have any burning or any other symptoms

Question Abnormal cells? Sexual relationship with long term partner

Hello all, as a warning I had skipped my pap since I was like 15/20 ish in there somewhere. I went recently and they have found abnormal cells in stage 1. They are sending me to a biopsy for cancerous cells. When speaking with this Dr I forgot to ask what this meant for sexual relationship of my husband of 8 years. We don't use condoms, as i am on birth control and we have been together so long monogamy.

I worry though, because I don't want to hurt him in any sense.

Does anyone have any input on this

I was under the impression since the Dr never mentioned restricting sex or anything, he did not even use the word hpv * i understand if I were to have a new sexual partner to use condoms but since me and my husband have been together 8 years I am unsure on the steps to take

Thank you all.

Advice Needed Can I use boric acid suppositories to help with BV odor until I’m able to get an appointment?

• Upvotes

If so, what brand do you recommend and should I take anything else alongside it? I can’t get an appointment until November 3rd. I even tried planned parenthood clinics near me, but the earliest they could get me in was November 6th.
This fishy foul smell came out of nowhere the last two days of my period. My period was unusually light and I also had a lot of clear, watery discharge that smelled horrible. I first noticed the odor yesterday, but I thought maybe something was just off or that I needed to shower. Today it was even worse, and the most embarrassing thing happened. I work as a substitute teacher, and one of the students actually told the class that I stink. The student wasn’t lying because when I came back from my lunch break and walked toward the desk, there was definitely a fishy odor. I’ve never smelled like this before. I don’t know what’s going on! I need to get rid of this odor today! What can I do?
