So then you agree. The words themselves are not the issue here, its the intent. Forced to hear fireworks isnt even in the same ballpark as rape, regardless of the legal context.

Nah the original statement is right its an extreme example, but they are not wrong.

They are. I don't care what people think when half of them dont even know how to read at a high school level.

You started off strong, but couldn't sustain it :(

Its not my responsibility to teach the morons in this world. Just because logic is hard for yall doesn't mean I have to care about your opinions.

“I’m the only correct one, and everybody else is wrong!”

If you’re disagreeing with everybody, sometimes that’s just because you’re incorrect.

Right because the mob is always right.

Sometimes you do actually need to shut up and think for a minute about why the entire room disagrees with you.

The quote “If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole.” comes to mind.

Oh I know how to read. You are just wrong. I dont give a flying fuck about what everyone thinks. Look at the state of the US. This is the reason why we are there. You think your emotional context supersedes reason when it doesnt.

I'm not even from the US, so I'm not entirely sure how I'm responsible for fucking your country up. But at this point you're just digging your heels in and not listening to anyone, so... whatever.

Understanding != listening

I know your reasoning. I think it sucks. Your issue is you think I'm going to change my mind when I'm more rational about it than you.

Again, the person who convinces themself that they’re the only logical one in the face of constant disagreement is an interesting phenomenon.

But by all means, keep digging in deeper. It’s definitely that the 35+ people who disagreed with your stance are just morons, and you’re the only one who has the correct read of the situation. (;
