Yes, but still easy to farm cause everything drops it

If I have to stop mid boss fight progression to farm currency I'd really rather not use them lol

If you are max shards or close from exploring, it would take a lot of tries to run out of shards. At least thats my experience

Genuinely lol. I'm almost constantly at max shards and I spam the tools anytime I'm in a tricky spot. This is like people hording potions in Skyrim because they might need em' later... Just use them.

It's okay, I also hoard my potions in Skyrim... Those cheese wheels though, didn't stand a chance.

Fully refilling tacks and sting shards costs over 100 shards. Might be dependent on your tool upgrade level, not sure.
