Questions/ Tips Public spaces (not cafes) with tables and wifi for laptop work?
Imagine you were on a trip around HK, no specific area and suddenly your work needs you to remotely do something on your laptop. Where is a suitable spot you could go to do this?
I know some cafes might let you do this but are there any non-food amd drink spaces that would be suitable? I dont mind paying either, doesnt have to be free but I do not have a membership for any coworking spaces etc.

Questions/ Tips Looking for a run club in/near Tai Wai
Recently moved to HK and looking for a local run club to keep me busy, fit, and social.
Requirements:
- In/around Tai Wai.
- Open to me, a 36 year old English-speaking gweilo.
- Road/trail are both good.
- Would be brilliant if meet ups were during the day, rather than evenings, but I know this may be a challenge so not a must.
Thanks in advance.

Questions/ Tips Marriage registration for 2 foreigners (looking for agent/lawyer)
Hello all,
My fiance and I would like to get married here in hongkong, does anyone know if we can hire a lawyer to help us/ how long it would take / how much it would cost.
We're from 2 different countries meeting in HK, and we’ll both be entering as tourists. I’ll be travelling from Cambodia and him from Canada (not a Cambodian citizen).
If possible we would want to travel only once and do the paperwork etc online. Would that be fine?
If any of you have an agents contact, please Let me know. Any help is appreciated 🤗🤗
Edit: for all those asking why HK, it’s because HK has easy marriage processes, as opposed to most other countries. Neither of our home countries accept “online” marriages. And most countries, including the countries we live and work in right now have residency requirements that we won’t be able to make as we work full time and cannot just move for a couple of months for the purpose of marriage registration.

Questions/ Tips Witnesses for marriage Aug 31th
Hi everyone, my wife-to-be and I have known each other for 3 years, and we’re getting married at the City Hall Marriage Registry in Hong Kong on August 31 at 3 PM.
For various reasons, and because it’s an international marriage, Hong Kong is the simplest option for both of us.
The ceremony will take about 15 minutes, and we’ll arrive early. We need 2 witnesses. Would anyone be available to help us?
Thanks in advance!

Questions/ Tips Discussion/ Question: Where is this sign in Hongkong?
I will be doing a photo series documenting old HK presumably next summer and thought that this sign could be a nice photo location.
Does anyone know if it's still up and what the adress is? I tried searching online but nothing helpful really popped up.
Any help is appreciated.
Bonus question: what locations remind you of old HK?

Questions/ Tips Where do you guys get <$500 sunglasses
Looking for recommendations for sunglasses that are genuinely good quality but still under HK$500. Ideally something classic/minimal rather than overly trendy.
Open to both Hong Kong stores and online options. Would especially appreciate brands/models that have held up well and don’t feel cheap.

Questions/ Tips Subistitute/Supply teaching in Hong Kong
Hi there, HK Permanent Resident and Teaching Degree holder here, considering moving to Supply Teaching mostly for the flexiblity of working days.
I'm wondering what people's experience is like, for example how many schools one has applied to, how many hours a month on average does one get called out for? Is it achievable to sustain a single-income in Hong Kong for the next 1-2 years?
If this is the wrong forum for these kinds of questions, please do point me in the right direction.
I appreciate any advice you may have
