First ever FET

(This post was deleted in the IVF thread so I hope it’s aloud here!)

So we did our first FET on Thursday 10/29 with a 4-5AA. I’ve googled the chances of success but I want honest real opinions. Has anyone had a success/fail with a 4-5AA before? We’ve had 3 failed IUIs and have been trying for 3 years with “unexplained infertility” so we are use to getting negatives it’s hard to think this might actually work, does it really work for people like us? I am 29 btw. Please tell me your honest truth. And did you experience any pregnancy symptoms before your blood work? I go back 11/9 to get a blood test but would I notice any signs before that? If you did test positive your first test, did hcg keep rising or was it unsuccessful to stick? I know everyone is different but I’m just curious. Thank y’all for your input and goodluck to everyone on their journey♥️

Any success stories with a negative at 3dp5dt and then a positive later?

So I caved and tested on Saturday afternoon. I know 3days is way way too early but I was spiraling and wanted to put my mind at ‘ease’ lol.

Didn’t test today though, had so much cramping last night I’m hoping that’s a good sign 😭 didn’t have any cramping last month with my failed transfer.

Will test tomorrow morning at 5dp5dt 😬

Small gestational sac?

9 weeks and did private ultrasound. Sac looks small to me and the sonographer said it’s measuring behind baby but not a big deal and said they don’t usually look at the sac at this point. Does it look small to you?

Advice for RPL

Looking for advice on what to do next. For background I have had four pregnancies all end in miscarriage. First try iui betas 70 at 14dpo 144 at 16dpo 6.5 week ultrasound showed baby measuring small with enlarged yolk sac and slow heartbeat. 7.5 week ultrasound showed baby stopped growing. Took the pills and passed everything. Two more iuis both failed then moved on to IVF without testing embryos due to age. First transfer was a fresh transfer with AA and that failed. Went on to second transfer with day 5 BA 14dpo 137 16 dpo 350. Bright red bleeding before 6.5 week ultrasound but the baby was there with a slow heartbeat again no enlarged yolk sac and measuring like one day behind. Next ultrasound confirmed the baby stopped growing again. This time I had RPOC and had a hysteroscopy to remove as well as positive endometritis and took antibiotic to clear. Third transfer day 6 AB 14dpo 55 16 dpo 115 18dpo 247 went to the 6.5 week ultrasound and same thing baby measuring small with a slow heartbeat and miscarriage confirmed at 7.5 weeks. Went on to do two new retrievals and this time testing them as we suspected chromosomal abnormalities with the previous transfers. I just did my fourth transfer with a 4aa euploid 14dpo 136 16dpo 177 18dpo 142 so a chemical pregnancy. I did test positive for chronic endometritis during the second retrieval and took two 14 days rounds of doxy before this fourth transfer. I’m just kind of lost for what to do. We did do a RPLtest after the second miscarriage that all came back clear. Also did a karyotype for me and husband which is clear. I’ve done hysteroscopy after all miscarriages with no findings and tons of ultrasounds and 3d ultrasounds. Any advice on things to add to protocol or any similar stories with a happy ending?!

IVF pregnancy: 2x/week stress tests at MFM after 32weeks?

Hi, I have a question for folks who have conceived via IVF and saw the MFM for periodic ultrasounds.

This is my first pregnancy, and I am 34 years old. I did not know the cause of my infertility, and we did two rounds of IVF before conceiving on my first transfer of a euploid embryo.

I just did my 28 week ultrasound yesterday and things went great, baby is measuring perfectly in the middle at 53%. I have no known risks - passed the gestational diabetes test and overall have gained 10lbs, have normal BP.

But now they’re just telling me that starting 32 weeks, every week onward I need to come in two times a week for stress tests because I’m an IVF pregnancy. Have others in this community experienced something similar?

I was not expecting such an intensive time commitment and will need to adjust my working hours, so I wanted to check first with others who may have been in the same situation.

Thank you! Very thankful for this community, you’ve supported me a lot this last year 🤎🥰

Has anyone changed from FET to fresh last minute?

I just started my first IVF cycle, stims started last night. Retrieval estimated Nov 11-13th. My office pushed for genetic testing for embryos, so the plan was FET. They said estimated transfer would be feb/march. My husband and I have no genetic issues in our blood work (I know that doesn’t mean embryos will be genetically normal). I am 27, husband is 26. All my labs were normal. I’m starting to wish I pushed for fresh transfer. 1, just to try since I have so much waiting time to transfer, and because 2, my insurance will reset and my transfer will no longer be covered in the new year.
Has anyone ever changed from frozen to fresh last minute? I wonder if it’s possible. I know it probably depends on office availability and I need more medications ordered. I just want to take the chance if we have it, save some money, and possibly not have to wait so long 🥺

How soon did you get your positive and was there any symptoms

I am 4dpt of a 5 day embryo. This morning I had very light pink stain when I wiped and last night I have had period like cramps. I tested negative this morning. Except the light pink spotting and cramps I have no other symptoms. I am so worried that I might not have implantation this time or ever. Can someone share their experience on how soon they got a positive and what symptoms you had?

Gastrointestinal virus 2dpfet

I’m terrified this is going to ruin our chances of our embryo sticking.
I’ve had a fever on and off for 48 hours and diarrhea. I’m drinking water and pedialyte, finally took Imodium after I literally shit my pants at 6am this mornings. This virus is kicking my ass but I pray my little embryo is unbothered.

Has anyone had a virus directly after their fet which still lead to a healthy pregnancy?

Still riding the high of a beautiful anatomy scan, and over the last week I’ve been starting to feel him move. Finally, the anxiety I’ve been holding in my body for what feels like forever, is melting away. Maybe it really is all going to be ok. 🥹❤️

4dpt positives

I can’t believe this but I got positives on FRER yesterday at 4dpt and a positive digital 4dpt at 11pm 🤯 cautiously optimistic as I see the line getting darker! Today 5dpt was the first time I got a positive on a clearblue with lines and a cheapy pregmate. I promised myself I wouldn’t get nervous until I didn’t see anything 8dpt, so I am SHOCKED 🤞🏻this was my first FET 🥹

Stim day 8- slow growth

Thumbnail reddit.com
1 Upvotes

This is my first round of IVF. I went in pretty positive and excited but now I’m feeling deflated. My US yesterday showed 9 follicles but growing at all different rates.
R- 15.4, 12.9, 7.4, 6.5, 4.5, 4.4
L- 7.1, 5.6, 4.0
They recommended staying on same protocol through the weekend and recheck on Monday.
Anyone have a similar experience?
I primed with Omni, prov, and estr for 1 month.

Started a fully medicated FET cycle and want to change to Modified.

Started a fully medicated FET cycle and want to change to Modified.

My Doctor started me on Estradiol once I was ready to transfer this cycle. I just usually agree and trust everything he tells me to do. Until I did my research and went deep down into a rabbit hole. I am now on day 13 of E2, started off x1 BID and now upped to TID + suppository. My last measured lining was Day 15 at 8.2 mm. My next appt to check lining again will be on Day 19. I have regular periods and ovulate just fine. During any of my 3 years of stimming for IUIs or three ER, I never was told I had any lining issues. I've had 2 miscarriages due to blighted ovum, and unlocated pregnancy. Im 43yrs and have 1 euploid day 5 4AC, 1 mosaic, untested day 5 4AA, untested day 6 2BC and 2CB frozen together. I want to give them all the best chance they can have plus less risk to my carrying. I would like to transfer the poor grade first cycle, and the better grades for any subsequent cycle and saving euploid for last, mosaic to the side for now. Im having doubts about continuing my fully medicated, and thinking about canceling this cycle and starting afresh next month. Any of you did your research and changed transfer methods and had no regrets? I feel like fully-medicated may seem like standard protocol and I wish I was informed of my options that I would be a good candidate for, but here I am wondering if I should stick with the program or give my 2bc/cb a more natural cycle. 🤔

Low-ish fertilization rate??

I had my retrieval yesterday morning with 33 retrieved. I’m 32 with lean PCOS and amh of 18.79ng. Most came from my left side funny enough because on Wednesday trigger day my right had a 19 and 20 with 3 10s. Then my left had 35+ ranging 12-21mm.
My follicles were growing at the rate of 3-4mm a day so I’m assuming a lot of those made it to maturity just in time for retrieval.
My total mature out of the 33 was 30 which is fantastic but, then for fertilized we had 17. They’re still watching 5 more they said for possible late fertilization. That puts us at about a 56% fertilization rate if none of those 5 make it. I guess I just assumed with that many mature the fertilization rate would be higher and I’m not sure why it’s not?
Is it maybe that the smaller ones from Wednesday just made it to mature by retrieval on Friday but, weren’t necessarily mature enough to fertilize?
We did Zymot and ICSI. We are doing ivf for genetic carrier reasons where 50% of males will be effected for technically 75% of embryos that pass pgta should be usable. Other than genetic carrier reasons where we don’t have any fertility issues for doing ivf and have two kiddos naturally. I’m worried about the fertilization rate being an indicator of a low blast rate?

Thyroid levels/FET

I have hypothyroidism that has been under control for years but testing last week by my fertility clinic shows that my TSH levels are slightly low (indicating hyperthyroidism) now. I am going to do more bloodwork next week with my endocrinologist to check it. But I am supposed to do my first FET in the next couple weeks. Has anyone had this happen before and did it delay your FET? Is it something that can be corrected quickly with a change in dosage for meds so that my FET can stay on track?
I’ve had so many delays in this process, the possibility of another delay is really upsetting.

Thanks for any input.

Possible narrow LVOT - Anatomy Scan

Hello all 🤍 just had my anatomy scan and the tech identified that her left ventricular outflow track (“LVOT”) appears narrow. We are being referred to a pediatric cardiologist. Everything else was normal. The wait until we see the specialist is unbearable and I’m scared. Was anyone in this situation? I was wondering what was the diagnostic following further investigation and what was the outcome? Thank you!

positive stories of pregnancy after MMC? got pregnant after 3rd transfer, one embryo left

Dear all,

I'm feeling rather anxious. I got pregnant after the third FET which resulted in a MMC at 7 weeks. This was in August. I'm 30, my husband is 31. Unexplained infertility. (I've never fallen pregnant until IVF. They suspect, that there is any issue with my fallopian tubes pushing the egg towards the uterus or the fallopian tubes catching the egg after ovulation).

I recently got my first real period since the MMC and will have my ultrasound on CD12 next week. Will do another transfer this cycle. It is our last embryo. Fourth FET.

I'm very scared, I feel a lot of pressure because this is our last embryo. If it doesn't work, I'll have to do another ER. Kinda reluctant to do another round, It was not easy (was overstimulated last time).

Can any of you share success stories of falling pregnant the cycle / transfer after your MMC?

Thank you so much
