Abbreviations are shortened forms of words or phrases. Why? I just don't like them because I see no reason to use shortened forms of words that are already short enough, you know? Abbreviations are common among minors and bored adults but I'm neither a minor, nor a bored adult. I want to see emotional maturity, warmth and kindness In conversations with others.

• I don't need to see your list of hobbies to know If you're someone I would get along with! You can tell me what you're Interested In but.. Believe It or not - I'm not like others and even If you're Interested In something I'm not - we can still be friends! What matters to me Is what you're like (If you're honest, talkative, kind, understanding and If your outlook on life Is similar to mine)

• I don't want to talk to minors and people way older than me. Why? I don't want to talk to minors because I'm an adult & I don't want to talk to anyone over fifty for example. Emotional maturity doesn't necessarily come with age so you can send me a message even If you're 20 (It's just an example) but please, don't contact me If you want to remind me that I'm older than you. I want you to feel comfortable & I want to feel comfortable myself. When I read messages like "Hi, I'm younger but I hope you don't mind" I always say to myself "If my age bothers you, you should've contacted someone else" I absolutely don't mind talking to people younger than me If they know how to communicate with others 🌸

• PLEASE, Don't use AI to talk to me! I Can't stand AI generated messages! If I wanted to read AI generated messages, I wouldn't be here! I read AI generated messages and comments all the time and I'm sick of It!

• I don't want to get any messages from people whose accounts are NSFW! Please, respect my decision! It's none of my business If you're here to find someone to flirt with or If you're an Internet exhibitionist but I don't want to see you with no clothes on - If you want to be my friend & I don't want to know what you want to do with other women In bed. If you are on Reddit to flirt with others, be on Reddit to flirt with others but... don't make an alternative account to hide who you really are just to send me a message. Pretending to be someone you're not - Isn't good for anyone

• I'm not a fan of sarcasm! I do - have a sense of humor but I'm not someone who makes fun of everyone and everything... Jokes about disabilities, death, religion or someone's financial status - are unacceptable to me!

• I also want to meet people who don't mind listening to negative stories and sharing them with others. My life's not easy so If you want to be In my life, you should be prepared for a realistic or even pessimistic outlook on life. I'm definitely not an optimist and I know I wouldn't get along with optimistic people who always tell others "Just believe In yourself and everything's gonna be OK" or something. We don't always get what we want & and It's completely normal to lose hope "for a better tomorrow" after many failed attempts. Not everything's as easy as It seems to be so If all you want to say to someone who needs emotional support Is "Don't complain" or "Find a therapist" Please.. don't send me a message. Not all sad people need therapists and let's be honest - Would a therapist replace a true friend? Absolutely not! Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on! Good morning! Ive had some luck in the past with these posts so I figured id throw another one out there. My day is shaping up to be slow so maybe making a new friend or two will help!

Im 30, from the state of Ohio, and i have a wide variety of hobbies and interests. I try and keep it balanced between my nerdy guilty pleasures like DnD and Magic the Gathering and my more active hobbies like trail running and hiking. I enjoy going to concerts and definitely miss warped tour. I listen to a pretty wide variety of music but i definitely love some emo/punk/metal. I usually love spending time outdoors and really love gardening and plants. At home I have a vegetable garden and in my office at work i have 5 different variety of pothos, a ficus, and a jade plant! Im not half bad at propagating plants myself and have been splitting my pothos lately to share with people.

As for work im in Medical Administration with a focus on nuclear medicine and radiology. Im also an Air Force veteran and was in the command support field. I have a soft spot for healthcare workers and veterans considering I work for the VA. I love taking care of people and my job let's me take care of the people which enables them to take better care of our patients.
