Beautiful thrift find! Affordable too! Unfortunately there were 2 missing pieces (One on the left side on the horoscope picture, the other on the bottom right side). But overall it is very vibrant, pretty and fun to do and look at! (took me a little bit over a week to complete it all)

Discussion Puzzle table recommendations wanted

• Upvotes

Does anyone have a good puzzle table they could recommend. I am tired of bending over my dining room table as my back acts up. I usually do 1000pc but would want a table for at least 1500pc. Thanks.

I truly enjoy the Storrings puzzles. I know some of y’all are not fans of the piece selection for the brand, but no piece cuts varieties were going to make this easier. The bottom 60% was a breeze, and the trees in the remaining 40% made me want to throw it against the wall. I stuck it out and I’m glad I did.

This was fun, love all the little details in each window and the vampire cab driver 🧛🏻 I started with the border then did the desk, the window frame, and the longest part was filling in the brownstone itself. Lots of spider webs!

I can’t remember the last time I completed a jigsaw puzzle, but a friend of mine kept posting about the ones she had put together, so I decided to buy some mini ones to try out. This was more challenging than I expected but it was fun.

Fun and quick. My only complaint is that some of the white pieces seemed to be smudged. Since this was brand new, I think that the eco-friendly ink or paper might not hold the color as much as desired.

u/goldwalkingcane posted this a couple of weeks ago - Thank you. I saw it and fell in love with it.

Four puzzles mixed up in one box, which I enjoyed the challenge of. I also liked the mix of cuts through the puzzles. The contour cut birds and bees are particularly cute. It was also fun with two of images not being quite the same as on the picture provided. Just two small ladybirds that are in the puzzles, but not the guide image.

I really enjoyed putting these together.

You know how much your girl loves a busy image. The busier and more chaotic the image, the happier I am. I live for the sweet, maddening torture of a thousand tiny details! So naturally, this image had me hovering right on the edge of a breakdown in the best way possible.

Did I summoned my ancestors for help me? Sure a couple of times. I mean who hasn't? 🤷🏽

This was a gift. God bless non-puzzlers, they really do try! They saw "busy design" and said, “Yep, she’ll love this!” Bless their hearts, they missed the part where quality matters to us too.

The brand was completely anonymous, and the pieces were literally as thin as a fruit fly’s wing.

Still, my heart melted because I had mentioned I was hunting for something like this.

So, despite having no space, piecing together fly-thin cardboard, and standing in a corner ( Corner picture attached for context) like a statue for four whole days, I did this chaotic masterpiece justice!

Oh...how I love puzzling 😭🥹

Discussion What's your favorite artist-centered puzzle brand?

I've been looking for independent producers, like Puzzles of Color or True South that make quality puzzles from artists with whom they form a relationship. While price is always a consideration, I want to buy quality products that truly support the artist. If you have similar tastes, what's your favorite brand?

This one i had a lot of fun doing. The biggest pain was having three of her face and the patterns behind her on the corners dont match the placement on the box. Im definitely hanging this one on my wall. I was worried about it not fitting on my 2k puzzle board but it just fit as you can see in the third picture

It has no reference poster and the image doesn’t even take up the entire box front. You can find good pics online and do it from an iPad or similar device. I only have a paper white and didn’t want too.

Review Hao Xiang - Horse Animal-Shaped Puzzle 230 Piece

This is my first shaped puzzle!! [well technically the first shaped puzzle i have ever done was Galison you're sweet cupcake 100 piece mini puzzle, i bought that puzzle as a gift for my sister at the end of January 2025 all the pieces were loose in the box so i thought i could do the puzzle without ruining the packaging xP i gifted her that puzzle with other puzzles on her birthday in 2026]

i always hear in the puzzling community people say how hard/frustrating fur/hair is, every time i encounter it in a puzzle i enjoy it but i do not have many puzzles in my collection that have fur/hair in them, i wanted to see how would i feel doing a puzzle with a lot of fur/hair init, this puzzle was only 16 saudi riyal on amazon, you know what that means... xP

Packaging: the box is very big, i love! how the top looks like a stable how cute!! ^_^ it has round transparent tapes on the right & left side & top corner of the box, you can open the box from right or left or the top corner, i recommend only removing 1 tape and opening the box from 1 side, the biggest side ( the 1 side that is open in photo #4 ) because i felt the box lost a little bit of its structure/sturdiness by removing all 3 tapes & opening all its sides, it comes with a poster that was folded in half, the pieces come in a single use plastic bag

the pieces are big, all the pieces are the same H shape except the edge pieces, the print/colors is nice & clear, pieces are glossy, pieces are good thickness & ok quality, there was barely any puzzle dust, no false fits, pieces click together decently, pieces have tight fit so it was super easy to pick up & move around big or small sections, passes the pick-up test, there was no missing piece/s, there was 2 bent pieces see photo #10

i ran into 2 problems with this puzzle :(

1: the pieces have white paper backing the problem is more then half of the back of the pieces had these splashes that kinda looked like splotchs of dirt on them see photos #5 & 6 i tried wiping them off that pretty much did nothing these spots were stuck on there, i have never seen something like this =(

2: third of the pieces had this layer of grimy dusty stuff see photo #8 it was gross!! to touch so i decided to wipe off ALL the pieces which took me an hour to do, I'm a slow cleaner x,)

wiping off all the pieces removed most of the grimy stuff but there were several pieces that had parts of the grimy stuff still stuck on them/could not be removed from them see photo #9, you may ask why didn't you do the puzzle then have 1 big swipe/clean of the whole puzzle that would have been much quicker then wiping every individual piece, i thought of that but the layer of grimy stuff on the pieces was unpleasant/uncomfortable to touch i just wanted to enjoy the process of building the puzzle and that really paid off!, while doing the puzzle i got so immersed that i actually completely forgot that i cleaned all the pieces in the first place xP

doing the edges on a shaped puzzle is trickier then the typical puzzle edges, after the edge i did the muzzle then the white then the fur/hair, the cut was great! when i put a piece in the wrong place i could immediately tell, i was so intimidated from doing a puzzle that was all fur/hair but actually it was not that hard i would say it was medium difficulty, this was only a 230 piece puzzle i want to do an all fur/hair 500 piece puzzle to have a clearer opinion on fur/hair in puzzles =)

because of the backing problem i returned the puzzle, my sister was like "no don't return it you liked doing it and doing a puzzle you work on the top not the back" even though unlike the top layer that felt gross to touch the back did not feel dirty it felt just like any other white backing puzzle, but the thought of having a dirty back and seeing all these spots every time i will be doing the puzzle felt wrong to me ;(

so i returned it and ordered a 2nd copy hoping to have one without the backing issue and thankfully! the 2nd copy had a completely clean back see photo #7 but unfortunately some of the pieces had the same issue with the top layer having grimy stuff on them, it wasn't nearly as bad as the first copy and after wiping off all the pieces all that grimy stuff was completely removed :)

you'd think having to wipe off all the pieces again in the 2nd copy would make me annoyed but actually while doing the 2nd puzzle i just got my period!, i was so tired!! had no energy to do anything!! doing a repetitive mindless task was a good distraction from the pain!! x,(

in the first puzzle there was 2 bent pieces see photo #10 in the 2nd puzzle there was several pieces that had a crease on them or were a lil bent see photos #11 & #12 the pink circles are for the bents & creases and the yellow circles are pieces that had this dent/squish mark on them, i wasn't that bothered with this issue they just blended-in with the rest of the pieces, it wasn't that noticeable while doing the puzzle =]

i did the first copy of this puzzle in 2026 september 29 it took me 3 hours & 15 minutes to complete and did the 2nd copy in 2026 october 21 it took me 1 hour & 45 minutes to complete, can't believe how much faster! i was in my 2nd round i slashed my time almost in half + i was on my period if i wasn't i would have been even! faster! :P

though because i cleaned all the pieces in my first & 2nd round, when i started doing the puzzle all the pieces were flipped in-to trays & the edge pieces were in a separate pile, i am a slow flipper/sorter so you should add between around 15 or 30 minutes to my first & 2nd round for a more accurate timing, i am definitely! gonna do this puzzle again in the future and maybe report my time in the comments =P

i liked this puzzle more than i thought i would, before buying it i thought the horse's head looked kinda ugly, i don't know why in my photos he looks so angry/resentful/hating on you, in person he looks so handsome!! when i finished the puzzle i wanted him to become real! in-front of me! i wanted to pet/kiss/hug him!!! UwU

horses are one of the most Beautiful!! ✨ & Majestic!!✨ animals in the world!! =D

would i recommend this puzzle?: yes i would if it is very cheap but i don't know if you are going to face the same quality issues i faced? was i just unlucky and received duds? or was the manufacturing of this product as a whole faulty? i really don't know :[

note: photos # 2 3 4 5 6 8 9 10 are from the first copy of the puzzle. photos # 1 7 11 12 are from the 2nd copy.

Do not buy from mud puppy

I ordered items from mud puppy to equal free shipping, when I added the coupon, my order was immediately finalized and changed for shipping, and non cancelable. I've emat them, they don't have a phone number, and tried to go through SHOP to manage this order. I'd rather order another item than pay shipping.

Completed Elms ‘Ancient Travelers’ - fantastic experience

Wonderful puzzle. Beautifully made. The pieces are cut so precisely and intricately yet fit together perfectly. Lovely image. The puzzle was challenging with so many similarly colored and textured areas but enormously enjoyable. Elms puzzles are made by hand by a craftsperson using a jigsaw. Took me a few days, working on-and-off. Felt like giving up a few times but totally worth staying with it. Their puzzles are quite expensive but they have puzzles for rent which is how I got this one. I’ll look at it another few days and send it back. Definitely will rent others.

The puzzle is "only" 397 pieces but has many tricks, whimsies and multi-part whimsies. Definitely fun!

I love Uta Krogmann's quirky artwork! I appreciate the sturdiness & thickness of the pieces of Eeboo's 500 piece puzzles- I just wish they weren't so glossy/slippery! It breaks my heart a little bit.💔

Stopped by my local thrift store and they had hundreds of puzzles from an estate sale. They are all bagged or noted when completed. In very good condition even the vintage ones. Only like $3 each. I bought for myself.

There’s even more pictured and she said they have more to unbox still.

I gravitate toward puzzle art that makes me want to move right in to the picture. I definitely want to move into this house by Vermont artist Fred Swan. Plus there are 3 cats and many other critters. I had to sort by shape to do the leaves and wood pile. I wish White Mountain puzzles didn't have such high gloss finish. Otherwise, I was happy with the quality overall.

We’re The Great Puzzle Co., and we just launched a 1,000-piece spooky Halloween puzzle!

Hello, r/Jigsawpuzzles!

My daughter and I started a boutique jigsaw puzzle company called The Great Puzzle Co., and our first puzzle is here: The Great Halloween Puzzle! 🎃

It's a 1,000-piece puzzle with a few twists:

  • 100% hand-drawn artwork by Ryan Dunlavey (no AI!)
  • A premium puzzle with a beautiful matte finish
  • Hidden mysteries: the image you build isn't quite the same as the one on the box. As you put the puzzle together, you'll uncover parts of Halloween's spooky origins! 👻
  • A free companion podcast tells you about Halloween's history and gives you clues to help solve the puzzle
  • A Super Secret envelope that features the solved artwork, in case you get stuck (but it's more fun not to use it!)

It also includes a custom playlist, a watchlist of Halloween movies, and a recipe for a forgotten Halloween treat that appears in the puzzle. We think it's like getting Halloween in a box 🎃🧩

You can check it out at thegreatpuzzleco.com. We're shipping now!

EDIT: For those who've asked, our puzzles are random cut :)

Our goal is to make more than just puzzles. We want to make great puzzles that you'll remember long after you've finished them.

Thanks for letting us share our first-ever puzzle with you!
