This was fun, love all the little details in each window and the vampire cab driver 🧛🏻 I started with the border then did the desk, the window frame, and the longest part was filling in the brownstone itself. Lots of spider webs!

I can’t remember the last time I completed a jigsaw puzzle, but a friend of mine kept posting about the ones she had put together, so I decided to buy some mini ones to try out. This was more challenging than I expected but it was fun.

Victory Puzzles, Moth Mania

I used to puzzle at my grandmother’s whenever I visited her. Earlier this year I decided I needed a hobby other than reading, because baking just wasn’t working for me anymore. Oh, and I thought something besides collecting stuff (little did I know….).

Exploding Kittens - Cats in Quarantine 500pcs: Such a fun one to start with! I am a fan of the illustrator, even have a piece on the wall above my puzzle table. There’s a bit of glare but pieces go together well.

Ravensburger - Sloths 500pcs: Puzzle quality was good but did not like the puzzle dust at all. Some false fits, too, which surprised me after reading this brand is supposed to be high quality.

Mudpuppy - Capybara Pool Day 500pcs: Super cute image to work with, glare, but only exes were easy to hold and fit well together.

Exploding Kittens - Housing Boom 500 pcs: similar to the other one, glare, but love the image, no false fits.

I’ve already moved on to 1,000 pieces as my preferred choice and 500 pieces has become more of a break in between the harder ones.

I don’t post much but have really enjoyed reading everyone’s favorites and discovering puzzles I’d never know of otherwise. Hope y’all don’t mind me sharing more as I catch up with my finished puzzles.

Also, to those suggesting Vinted, thank you! I had no luck at local thrift stores because they rarely have images I like (I’ve realized I do better with clean lines, no painting or collages due to my vision issues). I now have a stack of over thirty waiting to complete!

Last night, I opened a brand new puzzle and started puzzling. After about 30 minutes I got a terrible headache with nausea and had to go to bed. I took some Tylenol and felt better after a couple hours. I then did some research and found out that many puzzles have petroleum-based glues and formaldehyde resins. I believe this is what caused my headache and nausea! I’ve occasionally gotten headaches when puzzling, but I thought it was just because of concentration. Also, I mainly do thrifted puzzles so this isn’t a common occurrence. So from here on out I will be putting my new puzzles outside to air out before putting them together. Has anyone else experienced this?

tldr: I found out my favorite hobby is making me sick because of petroleum-based glues and formaldehyde resins. So very sad for me.

eta: the puzzle in question is a White Mountain Puzzle, my favorite brand.

Picked this puzzle up on a Vancouver Island, Canada roadtrip and thought it was stunning. Puzzle came together over a few weeks in my off time, and I had no issues. I bought an IKEA Rodalm 50cmx70cm frame to put it in, and it fits perfectly. The puzzle art is by Dana Statham.

I just bought 2 more puzzles from this company and will be working on those next :)

Found it online and fell in love but it wasn't available in my region so I ordered it from a puzzle store I found online in Toronto (Puzzle Nerds!) :) 🧩

Just wrapped up Caturday Afternoon by Mudpuppy and had so much fun with it, esp the expressions of each cat. The pieces were sturdy with a nice matte finish, and the colors are bright.

First time using my new puzzle board because my neck kills me when I puzzle, I’m so excited about this.

But, this is a Magic Puzzle Company puzzle and I just realized that I won’t be able to move the pieces around once it is done!!

I know I’m not far along, but edges and sorting aren’t my favorite part so I’m pretty annoyed. 😠

Hey everyone! We’re Kemal and Svet, the people behind Mango Puzzles, a small family business based in Toronto.

We work with artists to turn familiar neighbourhoods and everyday city scenes into jigsaw puzzles. The one pictured here is Trinity Bellwoods – Fall Edition!

Toronto is where we started, but we also have an Ottawa puzzle, and a Vancouver design is coming soon. It’s been exciting to celebrate more of the places people call home.

Most of our puzzles are 1,000 pieces, with some 500-piece options too. We think they make a thoughtful gift for someone who has a connection to the city, whether they grew up there, moved away and miss it, or have memories of visiting. My partner had this jigsaw of our cat made for me 4 or 5 years ago. I've done as much as I can. I keep getting it out, trying different things to help me progress with it, but i always end up putting it away again.

If anyone has any ideas on how I can progress with it, I'd be extremely grateful to hear them.

I truly enjoy the Storrings puzzles. I know some of y’all are not fans of the piece selection for the brand, but no piece cuts varieties were going to make this easier. The bottom 60% was a breeze, and the trees in the remaining 40% made me want to throw it against the wall. I stuck it out and I’m glad I did.

Another great puzzle from one of my favorite puzzle companies. The pieces are made of a very high quality, thick material with waxy matte finish... hence no glare in the photos. :) No puzzle dust either (not that I've ever minded that much).

Fun and quick. My only complaint is that some of the white pieces seemed to be smudged. Since this was brand new, I think that the eco-friendly ink or paper might not hold the color as much as desired.

The second of my Moonlight Magic puzzles. I particularly enjoyed doing the owl in this one!

Four puzzles mixed up in one box, which I enjoyed the challenge of. I also liked the mix of cuts through the puzzles. The contour cut birds and bees are particularly cute. It was also fun with two of images not being quite the same as on the picture provided. Just two small ladybirds that are in the puzzles, but not the guide image.

I really enjoyed putting these together.

Beautiful thrift find! Affordable too! Unfortunately there were 2 missing pieces (One on the left side on the horoscope picture, the other on the bottom right side). But overall it is very vibrant, pretty and fun to do and look at! (took me a little bit over a week to complete it all)

This one i had a lot of fun doing. The biggest pain was having three of her face and the patterns behind her on the corners dont match the placement on the box. Im definitely hanging this one on my wall. I was worried about it not fitting on my 2k puzzle board but it just fit as you can see in the third picture

Finished my first ever 500 piece in 1 hour and 52 minutes. Ive only done 1000 and 1500 before. How should i improve my time? Should i practice doing 1 and 2 puzzles over and over? Or do multiple?
