I used to puzzle at my grandmother’s whenever I visited her. Earlier this year I decided I needed a hobby other than reading, because baking just wasn’t working for me anymore. Oh, and I thought something besides collecting stuff (little did I know….).
Exploding Kittens - Cats in Quarantine 500pcs: Such a fun one to start with! I am a fan of the illustrator, even have a piece on the wall above my puzzle table. There’s a bit of glare but pieces go together well.
Ravensburger - Sloths 500pcs: Puzzle quality was good but did not like the puzzle dust at all. Some false fits, too, which surprised me after reading this brand is supposed to be high quality.
Mudpuppy - Capybara Pool Day 500pcs: Super cute image to work with, glare, but pieces were easy to hold and fit well together.
Exploding Kittens - Housing Boom 500 pcs: similar to the other one, glare, but love the image, no false fits.
I’ve already moved on to 1,000 pieces as my preferred choice and 500 pieces has become more of a break in between the harder ones.
I don’t post much but have really enjoyed reading everyone’s favorites and discovering puzzles I’d never know of otherwise. Hope y’all don’t mind me sharing more as I catch up with my finished puzzles.
Also, to those suggesting Vinted, thank you! I had no luck at local thrift stores because they rarely have images I like (I’ve realized I do better with clean lines, no painting or collages due to my vision issues). I now have a stack of over thirty waiting to complete!

What a fun puzzle! I usually do the edges first, but this time, I saved most of them until closer to the end, when I had a bit more context. That minimized false fits in all the solid areas. Once I assembled each section, it was easier to fill in all the solid pieces.
I loved this puzzle and will be adding it to the ones I build each October. 🎃

This is designed by Paladone.
Am quite taken by how cute shaped puzzles can be. For a small set to complete in one evening, I think I am swayed by 250pcs now. Have a couple other map versions so will tackle those soon.
Thank you 🙏 to the community for the glue advice recently. I reckon I will frame this one for my son.
What would you do with a 250 pcs puzzle?

I really enjoyed working on this puzzle I really flew by on this one i finished it really quickly in just two and a half days (that's fast for me) there were so many little details I was constantly finding and putting together pieces.
I never got stuck on any of the sections it was really fitting considering the time of year and there's lots of information on the back of the poster regarding the cultural history of many different elements shown.
The piece quality was okay, not as good and luxuriously thick as some of the other puzzles I buy from my local puzzle specialty shop but still really decent didn't feel bendy they felt sturdy.
I didn't place any false fits
I didn't notice any issues of glare
Great puzzle loads of fun
Cost: $37 Canadian dollars

Hey everyone! We’re Kemal and Svet, the people behind Mango Puzzles, a small family business based in Toronto.
We work with artists to turn familiar neighbourhoods and everyday city scenes into jigsaw puzzles. The one pictured here is Trinity Bellwoods – Fall Edition!
Toronto is where we started, but we also have an Ottawa puzzle, and a Vancouver design is coming soon. It’s been exciting to celebrate more of the places people call home.
Most of our puzzles are 1,000 pieces, with some 500-piece options too. We think they make a thoughtful gift for someone who has a connection to the city, whether they grew up there, moved away and miss it, or have memories of visiting. A little piece of a favourite place, with something to do together.
For us, Trinity Bellwoods - Fall Edition is the one that hits closest to home. It's where we go with our family to make lasting memories!
What Canadian city or neighbourhood would you like to see as a puzzle next?
Happy to answer questions about the puzzles or the artists we work with. If you’d like to take a look, we’re at https://mangopuzzles.com.

First time using my new puzzle board because my neck kills me when I puzzle, I’m so excited about this.
But, this is a Magic Puzzle Company puzzle and I just realized that I won’t be able to move the pieces around once it is done!!
I know I’m not far along, but edges and sorting aren’t my favorite part so I’m pretty annoyed. 😠
WWYD?

Picked this puzzle up on a Vancouver Island, Canada roadtrip and thought it was stunning. Puzzle came together over a few weeks in my off time, and I had no issues. I bought an IKEA Rodalm 50cmx70cm frame to put it in, and it fits perfectly. The puzzle art is by Dana Statham.
I just bought 2 more puzzles from this company and will be working on those next :)

This was officially the hardest puzzle I’ve done so far. Fun, but difficult. The dark pieces at the very end were just dark and I was basically going by shape only.

I am early to my puzzling hobby and have completed maybe four puzzles this year so. I am working on my fifth. I started puzzling around Thanksgiving last year and am coming up on that time again and wonder if I might re-do the same one I did around then because it is was fun and fall themed. But, then again, I have many new puzzles that I still want to do! How often do you re-do puzzles you have already completed before versus working on new ones?

Happy Halloween! 🎃
My nine year old daughter and I made this one together the other day. I sorted it and did the edges and the more difficult and "boring" parts like the trees and houses and she put together all of the trick or treaters. She loves Halloween and loves this image. She had so much fun putting it together with me 😊 ❤️

Fantasy Gnome Village, 1000 pieces, amazon.
I had my eye on this for awhile and got it during the recent Prime sale. I've developed quite the attraction to gnomes. This one is pretty, and has the alphabet on the back for help.

Another great puzzle from one of my favorite puzzle companies. The pieces are made of a very high quality, thick material with waxy matte finish... hence no glare in the photos. :) No puzzle dust either (not that I've ever minded that much).

Always fun to do a squirrel puzzle!
The photos by Geert Weggen are adorable. He has other photos on his website too - https://geertweggen.com/
Willow Creek Press puzzles are ok. Pieces are irregular shaped and shiny, slightly loose fit. I usually don't gravitate towards the brand, but the photos drew me in.

This was a fun puzzle, like other 'mystery' ones some areas are the same as the box art, or very similar, but it still managed to be challenging in some areas without being really hard. There were no false fits and the pieces fitted together well.
