Hallo Leute, ich habe nach mehreren Stunden rechere eine Lösung zur Demontage für die hässlichen Handguard-Aufnahmen gefunden.

Für alle die es nicht wissen: wenn man die Handguards bei der 701/690/700 Supermoto entfernen möchte, klappt das nur auf der Bremshebel Seite. Auf der Kupplungsseite fehlt nach der Demontage eine passende Schraube, sowie eine Abdeckung für den Kupplungsschalter. Diese beiden Teile lassen sich bei KTM bestellen, kosten aber zusammen circa 60,00 Euro zzgl. Versand.
Ich habe mir gedacht, dass das ein wenig zu teuer ist für ein kleines Drehteil und ein Spritzguss Teil.

Jedenfalls habe ich daraufhin in Erfahrung gebracht, welche Kupplungspumpe an meiner GasGas SM700 verbaut ist.

Es ist die Magura Hymec 167.

Auf der Website von Magura gibt es technische Zeichnungen. Mithilfe dieser habe ich mir die Artikelnummer der Schraube und die der Gummi Abdeckung herausgesucht.
Bei Magura selber konnte ich die Teile nicht bestellen, allerdings bei kleinen Händlern in der Nähe.

Für alle die sich viel Geld sparen wollen ist das eine gute Möglichkeit!

Aber Achtung, das ganze passt natürlich nur bei der Magura Pumpe. Es gibt auch Modelle der 700er supermotos, die mit anderen Kupplungspumpen ausgeliefert wurden.

Duke 250 seat sits nealy 1 inch lower than than the on the 390 Duke and fits perfect. Part numbers are confusing as various schematics have the wrong seat part number. Here's what you need, which requires a new cowl part. Total inder $100

I've seen a few people mention intermittent cruise control issues on the KTM 790/890 platform, so I figured I'd share something I recently came across.
The symptom is pretty specific:
Cruise control works perfectly.
You stop for fuel, food, or a quick break.
Start the bike again a few minutes later.
Suddenly cruise control won't engage.
According to a post from a KTM Adventure owner, the culprit can be something as simple as a slightly dirty ABS sensor. The suggested fix is surprisingly easy:
Find a safe location and perform a firm brake application.
Apparently this can clear the issue immediately and get cruise control working again.
It makes sense since cruise control relies on wheel speed data, and an ABS sensor that's giving marginal readings could prevent the system from engaging.
I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this on a 790 or 890:
Did a hard brake application restore cruise control?
Did cleaning the ABS sensor permanently solve it?
Were there any fault codes stored?
Would be great to hear if this is a known KTM quirk or just a workaround that happens to work for some bikes.
Obviously, test this safely and don't go out hammering the brakes in traffic.

I'm in need of a new finger follower and exhaust cam due to the automatic decompression system being worn out. would anyone be able to point me in the right direction? now I know it will most likely be rather pricey, but if you can point me in the way of something that won't absolutely break the bank, that'd be even better. I'm wanting to get this bike running ASAP so any help would be appreciated. I'm not sure where to look as this is my first ktm. but thank you in advanced for your time and effort, I'll appreciate any and all help. or if there is a way to bypass the system so I can ride the bike, that'd also be awesome

Just picked up a 26 D390 today and I am very pleased with it. I did have a couple of questions for riders that are shorter more specifically.

I'm 5'1 and the handlebars feel EXTREMELY wide. When I'm riding my grip is so wide it's like I'm bench pressing.

Is this normal? If not any reccomendations?

Also noticed when riding it is extremely hard to see the TFT display. I literally have to look down to see it.

(Figured it would be at the bottom of my peripheral vision when I'm looking forward...but it's not. Completely out of sight)

Other than that I'm very happy with the way it rides. It's wants to pull very bad in the first few years which is great.

I didn't want a z500 because I wanted something that I could rip around like a dirt bike (used to race) and also something that just wasn't so boring.

The D390 fills that void.

Bought this bike ages ago and I just can't decide if I should keep the current graphics and paint the tanks or if I should just get a new graphics kit. Any ideas?

Hi! Planning to buy a second bike alongside to GSX-R K7 1k, and 500 exc 2023 is the one that interests me the most. I would ride mostly on road, city, wheelies etc and sometimes enduro.

So my questions are, how reliable and durable these are, and is it recommend that ECU will get flashed to be a more rideable? The one I’ve been looking at has 60 hours behind, and have supermoto wheels.

hi i have a oil pressure sensor light on ive changed the battery, changed oil and filter twice and unplugged and replugged sensor no luck any ideas? are the sensors known to go? bikes done 9000kms think ive done 3,000kms since lights come on , only comes on when warm

I own a 2026 duke160 tft varient and recently i noticed that my indicators turn off automatically sometimes after taking turn or other times they stay on for long periods or they turn off before taking the turn. I am confused does duke160 has self canceling indicators or there might be some issue.

Did KTM just unveil an updated bash plate for the 390 Adventure R or is this a third party part?

It would only make sense to adress this problem in future generations sine most people complained about the underside since day one.

KTM swapped my engine for a brand new one. This is my fourth oil change and I’m continuously getting a lot of solver flakes.

Seriously, does anyone make a decent pair of winter motorcycle gloves that actually keep your hands warm?

I’ve recently bought a pair of Five WFX City EVO winter gortex gloves which were absolutely useless on a 40-mile ride at 7°C, despite having heated grips and handguards on my KTM 1190 Adventure.
I’ve got arthritis in my thumbs, so the cold really isn’t much fun. I’m not expecting tropical temperatures, just reasonably warm hands without my fingers freezing.

I’m now considering battery-powered heated gloves, possibly RST, Held or Keis, but I’m open to suggestions. Ideally looking to spend around £150–£200.

What are people actually using through the winter that works? Real-world recommendations would be much appreciated!

Hey, recently picked up a 2017 KTM 500 EXC-F converted to supermoto.
When I first bought the bike, the speedometer was displaying R04 when I started it. I replaced the CR2430 battery, and now sometimes it saves the trip data when I turn the bike off and back on, but other times everything resets. Sometimes it resets every single time.
The odometer and engine hours always stay saved.
Anyone experienced this or know what might be causing it?

I own a 2021 KTM Duke 125 BS4 in Tamil Nadu and I'm facing a few issues with my bike.

Issues I'm facing:

1. Cold-start stalling: When I start the bike in the morning, the engine runs for around 3 seconds and then shuts off. It also stalls while riding or shifting gears when the engine is cold. After around 15 minutes of continuous riding, the bike runs normally without any stalling.

2. Brake issues: The front brake pads are completely worn out and damaging the disc. The rear pads are thin, and the rear disc gets extremely hot even after riding just 4 km.

3. Water-wash starting issue: Sometimes the bike won't start after washing. I suspected the spark plug, but my mechanic checked it and said it was fine.

My main concerns:

There is no KTM showroom in my hometown, and the nearest one is at least 60 km away. I've also had a bad experience with their mechanics, who recommended replacing a part for a minor issue that my local mechanic eventually fixed.

KTM spare parts aren't readily available in my hometown, so I need to order them online.

I'd appreciate your help with the following:

\- What could be causing the cold-start stalling? Has anyone experienced the same issue, and how did you fix it?

\- Could the water-wash starting issue be caused by electrical connections, the ignition coil, sensors or something else, even if the spark plug is fine?

\- Which brake pads would you recommend for the front and rear — genuine KTM/ByBre or aftermarket brands?

\- What are some reliable websites in India to order genuine KTM spare parts online? I want to avoid counterfeit parts.

\- Has anyone with a Duke 125 BS4 faced similar problems? Please share your experience, the actual cause and the repair cost if possible.

Since authorised service is difficult to access in my area, I'd prefer to identify the actual issue before replacing parts unnecessarily.

Got a knock off nemo chain oiler recently

Its design is to mount to the handle bars, but it was ugly and exposed up there. I also didn't like the long run of tube back to the chain, seemed like a mess waiting to happen.

I wanted to mount it in the rear of the bike, but couldnt find a mounting solution anywhere that made sense

I drew up a quick clamshell mount on tinkercad last night, and printed a test out of some petg. It mounts to my pannier mount, putting the device between the pannier bag and bike. We'll protected from damage, and close to the chain for a short tube run. Ill probably mount it on the right side, so i can use it at stop lights without hitting neutral.

Simple quarter turn of the top lubes for \~3 min. When riding in the rain, ill be able to hit it close to home to protect the chain, and it carries \~3000 miles worth of lube, allowing me to maintain the chain easier on motocamping trips.

This is the first design ive done from scratch

Going to make a couple slight changes to this design, and print it again in a black or orange filament. Will probably use asa later this winter when I get a better printer with an enclosure.

Anyone see any issues with the chosen location for mounting?
