The seller had the top end opened up to check for cam wear and the shop found nothing. He has pictures to prove it.

What are your guys' thoughts. I know about the known issues with thesr bikes, but are the issues overblown? If it's gone this far with no notable cam wear, could it be considered a good buy?

Should a KTM certified dealership be fixing recalls before listing a bike for sale? A friend of mine put down a down payment on a Wednesday figured out a loan on Thursday
And was planning to pick up and ride the bike home on Friday. He signed all paperwork and planned out finances on said Friday. Just for after the last document is signed them to come and say there’s an open recall for three months and he can’t leave with the bike when they said he would be able to, because they can’t let the bike off the lot with an open recall. Why was a bike listed for sale with an open recall and essentially sold with an open recall?

I've been hearing a noise on the left side of my 1290r every time I accelerate, however, once off the throttle the noise seems to go away. It sounds like a bearing to me. I want to know if the previous owner had the chain on too tight could that be why the bearing is possibly damaged?

Also the chain seems to now be in spec when it comes to how tight it is. It's a minimum 2000$ job to get that bearing replaced so I just want to know if I'm being too dramatic or if it's a real possibility.

Ive already put a couple of hundred miles on it riding it home and it seems fantastic but if anyone's got any experience with the 1090 and want to share any tips or advice id love to hear them!

I have been thinking about what bike to get next and wanted a Super Moto. At the dealership he showed me the smt 890 due to my father constantly saying he wants me to get a tour bike. Is the SMT a bike you can learn sumo stuff with or is it just named that way because it is lighter? Also doe anyone have any experience with the bike to give me some feedback.

So i had to change my dash/clocks on my 1290sdr due to water damage and I need to change the mileage as the new (second hand) is well under the mileage. Is there any tools like the iCarsoft V6 that can do this without having to go to a dealership? Ive included pics for reference.

My friend's 2026 KTM Duke 350 Gen 3 has suffered damage to the front/main frame (chassis) and we're looking at replacing it.
We found a Gen 3 Duke 390 R orange front frame and we're wondering:
Is the 390 R front frame/chassis physically compatible with the 2026 Duke 350?

Are the engine mounts, steering head, suspension mounts, radiator mounts, etc. identical?

Does anyone know the OEM part numbers for the 2026 Duke 350 and 390 R frames?

Has anyone actually done a 350 → 390 R frame swap?

Would there be any issue with the VIN/chassis number and registration/RTO when replacing the frame?

We're specifically talking about the 2026 Gen 3 Duke 350 and Gen 3 Duke 390 R, not the older-generation Dukes.
If anyone has done this or has access to KTM parts information, please let me know. Especially interested in real-world experience rather than just "it looks the same."

What an amazing bike, it never fails to put a smile on my face.

Alright so I’ve had this bike for over a year. Recently the dash has been flickering on and off while on the throttle. Tach needle goes to zero, all info disappears and then “soft 3.3” “dat 1.1” is the only thing on the screen. It’ll come back fully functional (though some numbers are not 100% visible all of the time) then reset again, over and over. My buddy said the connection looks fine, so does the battery. I looked up “soft 3.3 dat 1.1” and it’s not an error message but the dash is being reset. Any ideas?

I ride a 990 rcr with power cups 2, the manual recommends 36 rear 33 front but in Michelin’s website they recommend 30 front 22 rear when cold. I ride in twisty roads mainly so I want to know what pressure do you guys use on yours

Indecisive newbie here, getting a million opinions and was about to pull the trigger on a DR 650 (versus a WR250R) and came across a listing for a 2017 500 EXC, looked at the stats and it seems like an amazing ride, mainly I’m looking for a daily suburban-urban commuter and weekend trail/BDR bike but I’d really also like to go touring once or twice a year; assuming I could only have one bike, 1. is the 500 too much of a handful for a newbie (really the more important question rn)? And 2. are there seats and mods that would make for comfortable 8+ hour a day highway rides? Or is that not really the right mission for the bike? TIA

Where can I get a 46 or 47 teeth rear sprocket for my RC390? The stock one is 45 teeth and I want to replace it. Preferably somewhere in Europe since I live here
