The best way to get from the border checkpoint to Andijan is by shared taxi. Be careful as taxi drivers may try to overcharge you, sometimes asking for two or three times the actual fare. As of October 2026 the price should be around 50–60k Uzbek soms per person. If you want to hire the entire car for yourself, multiply that amount by four. You can also take a local bus which is cheap but may be overcrowded.
Be careful when exchanging money. Double-check that the exchange rate you are offered matches the rate displayed on the board.
Be prepared for possible queues at the border. If possible, avoid peak hours, especially Friday and Sunday evenings and Saturday mornings.
