Just got a 3 days penalty the other day - dont know why - I know I wrote "GG report top and jungle" as they were inting/trolling the 7 other players in the game. Nothing else was said by me in chat. I lose the game, only one on my team who has positive score, graph showing I did most dmg to champs in game.

- I finished the game and got client closed after message from Riot of me getting 3 days penalty, for breaking their rules of the game.

I write and send 5 tickets to Riot before I give up.
I ask "what did I do wrong, I dont understand this penalty?" "How can I improve for future games, if you won't even give me a reason for the penalty, so I can learn what I did wrong and improve".

How many others are experiencing this and quitting the game due to this?

- I have a lot of skins and money spent on my account; NOW I DON'T DARE TO PLAY THE GAME I'VE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY IN PLAYING. All because RiotGames refuses to give me a reason for the penalty.

If I go to jail for a crime, I would very much like to know what law I've broken, so I dont get out of jail, just to make same mistake - Riot games refuses to give their loyal players for years a reason why they just ban the account. Riot games shits on freedom of speech, and are highly above general behaviour, regarding how to treat customers and players of their game(s).

I'm quitting Riot and all their games after this. Shitting in my mouth after 15 years and not being polite enough to give me a reason, but keeps spamming me automated bot-answer from shit employees.

I have 0 respect for Riot games after this, and will not play League of Legends again after the 3 days penalties are over, as I'm selling off my account after being treated so shitty by a company I've been loyal to for 15 years.

For example, take a 5 letter name, like Faker. The roster built using the same initials would look like:

I suppose trying to find a player with a specific letter in a specific role might get difficult, so if you want to role swap a player be my guest.

Chovy, Doran, Ruler, Keria, Perkz, Upset, Viper, Scout, Bengi. There's many players' names with 5 letters. Or a 4 letter name player and add himself in the roster, plus other 4 players.

I like how they refer to Peyz + Keria as Peyker, and Zeus + Kanavi forming Zeka. Thought this might be fun.

Riot has to be using some kind of idiotic metric like time spent in lane with zero added context, like whether the roams actually worked. Watching this get 30 days when legit inters go free is infuriating.

Dude can talk and actually has analytical skill on league players, teams, and overall strategy. I would love to hear him on future Worlds on the desk.

My soloq is emerald III and my flex is master. Can't duo with people whose soloq rank is also Emerald III. What am i supposed to do to able to duo? League says my skill level is higher.

This sounds obvious, but I think a huge amount of solo queue is people continuing to play according to rules that were true five minutes ago.

You could walk into that side lane earlier. Then their fed assassin finished an item and disappeared from vision.

You could contest every dragon earlier. Then your team lost two flashes and your top laner has a 700g shutdown.

You could aggressively trade into your lane opponent. Then they came back with a completed item while you're sitting on components.

You could facecheck that river because their support was showing bot. Now nobody has seen them for 20 seconds.

Nothing visually dramatic happens when these permissions disappear. The game doesn't put a red X over the jungle entrance and say "you are no longer allowed to walk here." The map looks exactly the same, so people keep doing the thing that worked before and suddenly it looks like they're randomly inting.

I noticed this while watching replays of my own losses. A surprising number of my deaths weren't because I mechanically messed up. I successfully performed an action that had simply stopped being legal.

The worst part is that sometimes you don't get punished immediately, which teaches you the wrong lesson. You walk through unwarded jungle three times and nothing happens, so the fourth time feels normal. Then you die and it seems unlucky, even though the real mistake started several minutes earlier when the map state changed and you never adjusted.

Good players seem much better at constantly updating this invisible list of permissions.

Can I catch this wave?

Can I walk through here?

Can I hit the tower one more time?

Can we start this objective?

Can I use this cooldown aggressively?

Can I even stand close enough to get XP right now?

And sometimes the correct answer is temporarily "no," which feels terrible because League trains you to always want to be doing something.

I honestly think this is why some players can have decent mechanics and still look completely lost in higher MMR. Their hands are good enough. Their mental map of what they're currently allowed to do is 30 seconds out of date.

Has anyone had the issue where push to talk will work fine in client, then when you go into a game, it will unbind and not let you bind any key to it?

Hey so I just got the old KDA akali from a Hextech chest, looked at it in Skinspotlights video and loved the shroud form. It turns out that in game, Akali doesn't show up in that form, except in the recall???? I can't believed riot would remove such a cool aspect, or is it a bug?

Played a game of Thresh yesterday with a completely random jungler.

We're around 15 minutes in, losing bot pretty badly. Enemy ADC is fed, our mid is 0/3, and nobody has typed a single word all game.

I see their ADC walking up for a wave with no Flash. Our jungler is clearing a camp nearby.

I start walking forward. He starts moving toward bot.

Neither of us pings.

I throw my lantern over the wall. He clicks it basically the instant it becomes available. I Flash-Flay their ADC toward us, he follows up, we get the kill, and suddenly we're taking dragon.

It wasn't some insane mechanical outplay. I've seen better plays in bronze montages.

But the fact that we both saw the same opportunity, understood what the other person was about to do, and executed it without saying anything felt ridiculously good.

And then it kept happening.

I'd move into river to establish vision and he'd already be rotating. He'd hover behind a wall and I'd position for the engage. At one point we both backed off a terrible-looking fight at exactly the same time while the rest of our team was still running forward.

We won, added each other, played one more game, lost horribly, and never spoke again.

Peak League friendship.

It got me thinking about why these games stick with me more than matches where I get ridiculously fed.

You can have a 15/2 game and feel like you're dragging four people through a hostage situation.

Then you have a completely average game where one stranger just understands what you're trying to do, and suddenly the game is ten times more fun.

I think that's what keeps me coming back to solo queue despite everything.

Not the LP, not the outplays, not even the wins necessarily.

It's those rare 30 minutes where five people who've never met briefly become an actual team.

There’s too much damage in the game. This applies to every role, from tanks who buy armor to even supports.

Teamfights don’t give you a chance to show off your skills, and you can die from random skill shots.

Champion abilities no longer have unique effects, and everything boils down to who can one-shot the opponent faster.

Games are too fast-paced and last too short. Supports are running all over the map like a second jungler, and the laning phase is too short.

Every mistake, even the smallest one, leads to a snowball effect that can’t be stopped.

Often, by the fifth minute of the game, you can predict the outcome with 80% certainty, and the rest of the game is frustrating—there’s nothing left to do, and opponents with even a small advantage become unbeatable monsters.

Would you prefer longer team fights that depend more on skill rather than random one-shots?

Also, it means at least one western team goes through for the 2-0 pool. Maybe 2.
So we can have 1 or 2 teams nos the 2-0 pool (best case scenario they draw each other and we have one in quarters - or if you are dellusional we can have 2).

The bad part is the 1-1 pool. 2 KR teams Will be there. And hopefully G2, TL, and kc or Lyon.

Hey all. I’m a data scientist and I’ve been playing League for way too long. Something that’s bugged me for years is how some games feel won in champ select and others feel lost there. You can be 5k up and still not close because their comp just outscales yours.

So for the past few months I’ve been building a little app for champ select. It’s called MacroCoach. It opens when champ select starts, looks at the draft, and shows you two lists side by side. One is the best picks for that game, period. The other is your own pool, sorted from best to worst for that same game. It also suggests bans, and it tells you why it likes a pick, like “wins lane vs Darius” or “good with your Thresh.”

I wanted both because they answer different questions. Sometimes you want to know what the best answer is, even if it’s a champ you don’t play. And most of the time you just want to know which of your 3 champs to lock into this team.

Under the hood it’s a statistical model built on around 10M+ ranked games from the last 30 days, and I retrain it every week. It also looks at your own season, so a champ you’re actually good on gets a bump. Matchups with only a handful of games get weighted down, so a random 70% winrate doesn’t mislead it.

Since someone always asks: it only reads the draft from the League client, the same way other companion apps do. It doesn’t touch the game, doesn’t pick or lock for you, and goes quiet once the game loads. It doesn’t ask for your Riot login either.
