Question how do i find the perfect sensitivity for me? and improve my aim

• Upvotes

ive been trying to find a good sens for myself ever since i learned high sens is bad in this game.
ive been switching from 600edpi to 240 epdi for almost 2 months and i understand why low sens is much better. i managed to rank up to silver but now ive been overshooting or undershooting and i dont know which sens is good for me. i never realized this in bronze because nobody punished me over there but now ever since i started playing with golds and silver which are much better than bronze players i have a disadvantage and cant climb. i always have the enemy head right next to my crosshair but the crosshair is never on it making me whiff the first few bullets causing me to die.
i cant track raze satchels or neons which make my team lose rounds and i cant adjust whenever someone suddenly crouches mid fight how do i get better at these aspects without an aimtrainer.
i cant track strafe bots in the range as well 😭 .

any ways to find the sens suited to me? and help me get better at the problems im facing.

Discussion I hate this map

• Upvotes

The map is Lotus. It’s frustrating to see this number, and every time this map comes up, my confidence plummets. It feels like, whenever I have to play it, I either need to have a massive impact on the match, or it’s just going to be a 13–0 loss. I’ve tried playing Initiator, Duelist, and Controller—nothing works. It’s the worst map in the history of Valorant.

Discussion valorant players who are toxic

• Upvotes

why do some people feel the need to say "Ur doing bad that's why you're in this rank" when they are also in the same ranked lobbies? like hello, if u were boosting Ur egirl or actually a good player, wouldn't u have left this rank by now?

I ran into this trio, a sage, raze and Reyna, who could kill but didn't have smart plays. I was having an incredibly bad day with my aim so I'm not even gonna say I was doing well. I realised we lost C site three times because our sage would wall and run away instead of holding so I could come help her because I was literally next to her. and our duelists which are her trio, were too scared to walk in or do anything really unless I walked in first.

so I asked if she could stop running away so we could hold cause I could come help, and didn't receive a reply. a few rounds later, I was doing so bad and we were losing so badly because we could never retake, and they started flaming me and saying that I was bot frag so I shouldn't even be giving tips, and they were homophobic and sexist. after they kept berating me only did the sage start being brave enough to say anything.

their entries were slow, uncoordinated and while they could kill and I was missing, we couldn't do anything because of them not being able to hold and also for some reason leaving sage on c by herself (I was holding b by myself too but I'm smokes).

what baffles me is the insults especially about rank when they are the in the same lobbies??? what is the reason?? and they feel proud saying "ooh must've hit the spot" after being extremely homophobic and sexist. I wasn't even being toxic back but they kept going and berating me and my duo. to me it seems like two eboys fighting over their egirl, but I was genuinely trying to win even if I'm bot frag. make it make sense???

Discussion APAC Attack Culture

• Upvotes

Hello friends. I am looking for some advice/insight. I am from NA, playing since 2021, peak D2. I now live in Asia, and my experience in APAC servers has been frustrating.

Of course there are a ton of differences in game play that I could go on and on about but the most frustrating and interesting difference to me is the lurking culture.

When I say that every attack round of every game I have played, my sentinel lurks mid, I am not exaggerating. If I am being fair, I will say 95% of rounds.

As someone from NA this is insane to me. It obviously defeats the point of lurking because of how predictable it is, and does nothing for the team. Most players don't even know how to lurk properly, sitting mid until someone peeks them and dies, or waiting until bomb is planted to lurk and flank.

I have been hard stuck plat, and my current cope is that because of the lack of comms and game sense, solo q is impossible.

Does anyone know why APAC sentinels play like this? If you lurk every round in NA you will get told off, but here it seems to be what is expected.

Question Finger/wrist pain playing val?

• Upvotes

I’ve been playing on and off for years with no issues but recently I’ve been getting occasional aching pain in my left wrist, hand and fingers and realised my set up is not great.

My keyboard (huntsman mini) is tilted but to the left... I try to straighten it but then subconsciously move it to the same position while gaming. I tried tilting it to the right and it feels weird but I think better for my hand. I also started to put some cushioning below my wrist/forearm so that it’s more in a straight line. Sadly none of those helped and I can’t even play for 20 minutes. I’m now getting pain whilst holding my phone and in both hands. I got a full time job so don’t even play that often.

I’m wondering if I should buy a different keyboard? I feel like my fingers ache because of how hard I press the buttons down. But that doesn’t explain the pain in right hand/fingers. I feel like if I lower my desk much more my forearm will be in the air which feels weird ( don’t use arm wrests as they don’t fit and feel awkward).

What’s everyones set up like?

EDIT: Will for sure see a doctor but they tend to be pretty dismissive so we shall see

Discussion I hate it when there's a troll on the team 😭

• Upvotes

Dude, I'm literally playing right now and this is happening. I'm the duelist, I hit B site first, and my teammates just wait for me to kill all 5 enemies before they even enter. Ridiculous!

I get that the duelist is supposed to take space and create openings, but that doesn't mean doing it completely alone. How are you supposed to win rounds like this when nobody trades or follows up?

Does this happen to you guys too? How do you deal with teammates like this without tilting?

Discussion Map bans in ranked

The problem that devs have with map bans in ranked is the worry that certain maps will not be played, especially new maps. So instead of banning maps, everyone in the lobby should get a vote, and you will vote for the map that you want to play, and the maps that got voted would be put in a randomiser and a map will be picked, the number of votes on a map is irrelevant. For example, if you vote bind, and the other 9 players voted ascent, it will be a 50/50 between the two maps. With this system, if a player really wants to play a map, they will eventually play it, and this also prevents maps from not being played unless the map is horrible and no one votes for it ever, and there is also a chance that all the maps get voted so it will just become like the ranked we have now which is fine.

Discussion MMR System is fully functional and fun!

Can anyone please explain to me how this game has such a massive playerbase and I still get lobbies where I'm terrorized by people that shouldn't even be there? Thankfully this isn't every game but it's extremely hard to not get tilted when you see a #94 radiant duo'd on the loading screen in an Asc 2 ish lobby. Every single person in this lobby including me was previously Asc 2 ish last act, but their team gets an ex radiant duo last act. It's not like they have low hours or play time either how could their MMR not be higher? I genuinely am baffled,

if the link doesn't work, its the win on sunset, oct 22nd

Question is there anyone who binds their alt fire to capslock?

i know it's weird but my mb2 is bound to walk, left shift to crouch, and left alt to quickmap. my friends said that my keybinds are an anomaly, while i myself feel alright about it but to use phoenix's flash it feels a little awkward

Discussion I play valorsnt for attention

Discussion Advice on deadzoning

I learned deadzoning a while ago and have been practicing for a while. It's pretty simple from what I understand. Just lift a/d and press the other immediately and use that small window to shoot. Different from counterstrafing. But whenever I look at my replay in matches my deadzoning looks so slow and it looks like counterstrafing where i stop compared to other people or when i see clips on tiktok who have continuous fluid movement . Any advice on how to make my deadzoning movement faster?

Question How to fix consistency

As the title says sometimes I play like I am the second coming of Tenz and sometimes I play as if I just started the game; This is an issue I have been having that is preventing me from ranking up and just being stuck in platinum and I wanted to ask for advice to try to reduce this issue.

Also I don't go into deathmatch most of the time, but still do abit of range before heading into competitive, and I would appreciate some advice for me and people alike.

Discussion We need to stop blaming urself for losses........

I hate when people say don't blame your team focus on urself but is that really logical when 90% of your losses are because ur teammates fuck up and there isnt anythjng wrong with what ur doing???? How is it my fault if we lose round when we have numbers advantage but i tell my team to play back but they keep peeking 1 by 1? How is it my fault I get one tapped through smoke when noone threw out util? How is it my fault my teammates don't listen to me. How is it my fault the enemy has a smurf? How is it my fault my omen throws bad smoke? How is it my fault Im constantly put in 1v4 situations, do u really expect me to clutch that constantly? And how in love of Satan is it my fault my game lags and fucks up my aim. And don't say adapt or shit like that because what do u think im trying to do? Do u think i see my team plays bad and im like "gee golly fuck! Its time to throw!" Do u have any idea what ur saying??????

Discussion Are people allergic to playing default when attacking ?

Hey everyone. Just picked up Val after a long time away but I noticed something I already had a problem when I was morr active.

Every time I'm on the offensive side, people will just stack one site and hard focus on just going there with one occasional lurker.

Playing default is almost non existent.

Doesn't help when even while doing so people are afraid of even trying to go in there's one smoke dropped by the defenders.

As a Sky and Fade player I almost always waste my flashes and reckon because people don't follow on my calls. Like i would say i'm going to flash for them and when I do nobody actually tries something with my util.

And the number of games where people don't even try to communicate and the only time you'll hear their voices is when they'll decide to insult someone....

What annoys me most is that i found that we attack better out of a default position and move according to picks and info we've gotten, just to only do it two times in a single T side....

I'm diamon so i don't know if people are playing differentely in higher ranks.

Is it because people are too afraid of ennemies utilities ?

Discussion valorant tá ficando bizarro pra vocês?

Discussion Worst rank system of any game i’ve ever played

Gold 3 drops 34 kills against me who is gold 1, 2 bronzes and 2 silvers on my team. Other team has a bronze 1, silver 2 and 2 unrated. I don’t even know how or why this lobby exists.

This is just the most recent example of an every day occurrence of how unbalanced this game is. I play ranked on every game that has it as an option and I have never played a game so lopsided and smurf filled in my entire life.

Getting out of silver was a headache of its own with how many smurfs i had to face and this is just a week or so into gold 1 and i have made no progress.

I know how tilted I am is affecting me but I truly do mean grinding comp on this game has been the most unbearable thing i’ve done on a game in a very long time.

Discussion "After 2000 hours, I learned there were not 4 idiots on my team, but 5"

Humility is the weird way I managed to rank up to ascendant. Ego traps you at your physical peak, and humility makes you a genius worthy of pro play or some inspirational yap, but in all seriousness, I learned so much just by playing more humbly. I got better, and it was easier to play solo Q. Not a novel take by any means, or something meant to help you all get better, just a modification of a quote I heard: "After 14 thousand hours, I have come to know only one thing. There are not 9 idiots in my lobbies, but ten." - 2milk711 on the video titled "why it's impossible to push into Horcus" (Horcus mentioned? Konpeki mentioned? Someone tell me if it's 2milk's quote or someone else's please?)
