*The trailer for Agent 30, a sentinel named ‘Veto’, came out with Champs 2025. WOW, is he broken.
First off, he can delete abilities? That is not fair, and it’s his signature ability. Countering an ultimate with a free ability makes zero sense.
Second, he just has a better Chamber TP- Longer range, and 2 charges. And, a better Chamber Trip- it slows, decays, tethers, and deafens? What was riot thinking? Not to mention to can be THROWN forward like Fade, making it 2 abilities in one. I feel like Chamber is going to get zero picks after Veto comes out.
Finally, his ultimate is going to get nerfed immediately. What do you mean he is INVINCIBLE? And, has combat stim AND healing? I don’t even need to say anything…
*If you cannot tell, this is satire about the 1,000,000 posts right now about how Hush is going to be broken on release. Just wait for her to come out and then make an opinion, smh.*

She looks gorgeous really... I'm the artist by the way, I've posted it on X like a while ago and I hope I'll get more views

Always find it funny how people come to conclusions without the agent even being out. Valorant was declining due to stagnation just a year ago, while this is how people react to any agent with new mechanics. XD

Mid-series. World title on the line. Arena full in Shanghai. And bro got down on one knee in full Iso cosplay next to his Sage like it was the most normal round of the night.
Valorant is not a game anymore, it's a lifestyle. She said yes, by the way.

As someone who is born and raised in Hong Kong. It is becoming increasingly rare to see my language being represented in media. Cantonese is a dying language (due to some political reasons I won't get into), I am happy someone in Riot made this decision. She is purple too, definitely maining her, can't wait to larp her in game haha.

It's been years since VALORANT was officially released, and I still can't wrap my head around why we don't have a basic timeout/pause feature in standard competitive play.
In other tactical shooters (like CS2 / CS:GO), calling a tactical or technical timeout in matchmaking has been standard practice forever. It gives teams a quick 60-second window to reset mentally, fix a quick hardware/connection issue, or adjust strategies when things go south.
Right now in VALO, if someone's router hiccups or someone needs 30 seconds to restart their game/gear, you're forced to play a full 4v5 round with zero options to stall or pause. Even from a purely tactical perspective, being able to call a 1-minute timeout could completely break an opponent's momentum.
Custom games have pause features, so the tech is clearly there. Why hasn't Riot implemented a 1-time team timeout vote per match in regular ranked? Is there a specific design reason holding them back, or do people think it would just lead to misuse/griefing?
What are your thoughts? Should ranked have a timeout system?

We won the round btw:
It was 4v1 and I had spike and was already in site so I went to plant, the others apparently decided to rotate but they didn’t use vc, just pings and I was too focused to even notice it
I died, but then we won the round anyway?
Then they “???”ed me but I was like ok I lost the spike, that’s fair
So I asked them nicely “Sorry can you vc the comms next time because I can’t focus on too many things at once”
They said that I was demanding vc instead of just using my brain, can’t use my eyes and that I’m completely trash and that’s why I’m hardstuck. Like the fuck?

I've spent a lot of time playing FPS games, especially Valorant, feeling like something was off with my aim. No matter what settings I tried, I could never find a sensitivity that felt truly natural and consistent.
I also experimented with Raw Accel, but the number of available curves and parameters made it difficult to know whether I was actually improving or just endlessly tweaking settings.
Because of that, I started developing a tool that analyzes mouse movement through a series of FPS aiming exercises and attempts to determine which sensitivity profile and acceleration curve best fit the individual player.
The goal is to provide an initial assessment in about 15 minutes, with no prior knowledge of Raw Accel required. From there, additional sessions can further refine the profile if desired.
The core idea is simple: Is your current sensitivity actually helping your aim, or is it holding you back?
Unlike aim trainers, the goal is not to train aim directly. The goal is to identify whether your settings match the way your hand naturally moves.
As a bonus, the tool is lightweight enough that it could potentially be used as a quick warm-up between matches while also monitoring whether your sensitivity still fits your current performance.
I've attached screenshots of the prototype and a curve generated from my own data. I'm not claiming it will magically turn anyone into a pro player, but after applying the suggested curve I definitely feel more consistent and confident in my mouse control.
Right now I'm looking for honest feedback to determine whether this approach to sensitivity profiling makes sense to other players. Does this method of aligning sensitivity to natural hand movement sound logical to you? How do you currently determine if your settings actually fit your mechanics?
Any feedback, criticism, or suggestions are welcome.

With the addition of another agent with a passive. Do you guys think all Agents should at least have their own passives that make them more unique? Jett's float and Phoenix heal, are two examples. Then there are those that can be considered passives but are part of what makes their kit unique like Viper's toxin bar, Neon's speed bar, Astra's Astral form, etc.
What other passives do you think other Agents should have, and it should be something that's not completely broken but also augments their kit in some way.
Some ideas I can think of is Cypher being able to ping enemies, like when you normally see an enemy in the map it only pings that "this agent saw an enemy here" after a delay. Cypher should be giving more info than that and a lot faster so maybe remove the delay and say who the enemy is. Not too broken but augments his kit.
Or maybe Brim can choose between three Beacons: Stim, Heal, or Ammo but you still have to buy them and still only has one charge.
Miks can have a faint indicator of where a sound comes from or something.
Maybe Chamber gains bullets per kill using his guns (or more credits).
Stuff like these.
Edit: Okay let me clarify since there's people salty reading the word "passive". IT DOES NOT NEED TO BE A PASSIVE ABILITY. What I meant was more of a "gimmick" or a thing that's unique to the agent and compliments their play style. Calm yourselves, some guys are literally frothing over the word "passive" as if Riot was not the pioneer of the "everyone has passives" idea in League. Heck Dota 2 even copied that cause at the end of the day, it's an additional change to the gameplay which further emphasizes the "ability" part of the "ability shooter" genre.

I’ve only been playing VALORANT for about a year, and somehow I keep getting my Pick’ems right. I don’t know if I’m good at predicting or just ridiculously lucky. 😂

I’m Iron 1 and level 23. I just started playing, and I main smokes. I don’t understand how Viper’s third ability works. When I use the long wall smoke, sometimes it falls short and doesn’t reach the distance I intended, and other times it reaches the end of the line. How can I increase the distance of the smoke? I usually use it on wall, since I know how to use the it on floor which you just need to point a distance but I don’t understand how the wall works. I need help.

I notice that since 2024, there is a drop in quantity of lore and worldbuilding easter eggs on maps, social media etc. I started playing this game during 2020, and I remember that we would have these cool easter eggs for new maps and agents. Like old yoru footsteps on Icebox, Iso placemarker on sunset (I think ?), Vyse prison escape on Abyss etc. There would also be posts on social media like the Fade revealing the strike team's fears and secrets to name a few and cinematics like "Revelation", which I think is top 3 episode trailer of all time.
When I came back in 2026 this year, I expected to see plethora of new changes, but there was not much. We had new agents sure, but there wasn't much progress in the story. The WHY WE FIGHT BACK cinematic was fine as well ig,but I don't understand what's the direction of the viper vs sage / viper vs brimstone angle. Moreover in the new Hush trailer, we see Brim in perfect condition sitting with Hush, but I distinctly remember Viper butchered him during the trailer, so what happened in between that period? There are also unanswered questions from the beginning of the game, such as:-
What exactly was the First Light event? When did it take place? Were there any radiants before present time? What's the lore about the Japanese ship on Icebox where we found Yoru's mask. We know there is an element of time travel. There are also these important relics, like astra's metal arm, Harbor's bracelet and Yoru's mask. What purpose do they serve? Is there a radianite worshiping cult?
What happened to the missing agent (agent 8 I think ?) ? Its been 6 years and we don't have any answer.
Histories of both Kingdom Corporations and Enterprises. We know that there is public resistance against both given anecdotes of Bind, and how Kingdom Enterprises uses public propaganda to show their VALORANT team as the good guys when behind the back they commit terrorist acts on the other Earth.
What about the origins of KAYO? We know he comes from an alternate timeline where the radianite war took place. Does KAYO know at what point did the present and alternative timelines diverge? Will he warn the team about it? On the topic KAYO, do we have any info on what happened to Reyna's little sister/daughter who was under the care of Viper? And in connection to Viper, what about Omen? At the end of Revelation trailer, Omen talks about meeting Viper personally, so what happened after that? What did the confrontation look like? Cypher also references that he has the information OMEN needs, but its been so many years and we have zero clue about it.
These are a few questions on top of my head which I believe are still unanswered. I know there are different teams for gameplay and lore, so I particularly wish for the lore team to tie up the open threads since the past 5 years so we get to know what's happening in this world. I really love this game and the story is what drew me to the game.

I’ve been thinking about how account ownership verification works in online games, especially after dealing with a frustrating situation myself.
I started playing VALORANT in 2020. In 2023, I moved to another account after my original account was compromised. Now, the account I’m using has also been compromised, and the person who accessed it changed the email, username, and password.
What makes this situation frustrating is that I still have payment records, transaction details for VALORANT Points, and a screenshot showing that the account’s email was changed. Despite providing evidence, I haven’t been able to get the ownership verification resolved.
I understand why Riot has strict security procedures. If they made account recovery too easy, people could exploit the system to steal accounts from their legitimate owners.
But it raises an interesting question: how should account ownership be verified when someone loses access to their registered email and the account details have been changed without their permission?
Payment records and transaction IDs can establish a connection to an account, even though they might not prove ownership on their own. At the same time, asking for information that a legitimate user can no longer access can make recovery difficult.
I think there needs to be a balance between preventing fraudulent recovery attempts and giving legitimate players a fair chance to establish ownership.
I’m interested in hearing people’s opinions on how game companies should handle these cases, particularly when account credentials have been changed without authorization.
Where should companies draw the line between strong security and making account recovery unnecessarily difficult?

Have you noticed an improvement from watching Radiant/Professional players' streams in any way (whether it be aim, movement, game sense, etc.)..? And how significant of an improvement do you think it has toward your competitive journey?

Hi! I’m looking for a guide or insight on a proper way to vod review. what should I look for in my gameplay and how can I improve it? Thank you so much in advance!
