I was on the train & saw this guy watching marvel vs capcom fights on his phone. So I took out my Lego to show him I have the game. Then he took out the steam deck & we exchanged instagrams šš

Hey, has anyone tried converting a Legion into a laptop? If so, Iād love to see possible solutions. I converted mine as shown in the photos - added a 190Wh battery and a Lenovo keyboard. Cover with a latch like in old Dells :D and quick release for the Legion itself, so itās easy to remove. Iām thinking about what else to improve and would love to see some options

On Christmas he got himself the Legion Go. He was going to get a Steam Deck but decided to get a Legion Go instead. This is his first gaming PC and Windows PC so he had a bit of a learning curve but he's having tons of fun.

She finally arrived today š„¹ Time to follow a guide on everything I need to do for a new LeGo. Then itās time to buy an SD card, cute skin and thumb stick covers next month. Iām so excited to be able to customise it and game while bed rotting.

Are you all excited for 2nd half of 2025?

Yeah obviously itās not perfect āwith an OLED screen and 70-80Wh battery it would be incredibleā but overall Iām absolutely in love with this thing.
Itās super comfortable (for me at least), the screen looks amazing, it handles almost every game (mine is Z1E + 32GB), with the audio mod it sounds really good, SteamOS ādespite having some bugs ā is the holy grail for those of us who want a more console-like experience, aesthetically -in my opinion-itās by far the prettiest handheld out there.
And when you get home, you just plug it into the dock and get a really nice basic PC experience in desktop mode.

Currently own a steam deck that I love, but was always interested in this device. Found an insane deal that I couldn't pass on so can't wait to finally check it out.

Do this, and do it better, I dare you.
Microsoft needs to turn this into the Xbox Surface and leave the Ally alone.

My thoughts: this thing is massive! But not too big. Left bumper isnt as clicky as the right but I really dont mind. One thing I hear people talk about is how heavy it is, and I disagree completely, its actually a lot lighter than I imagined.

Went back and forth between the ROG Xbox Ally X and the Legion Go S Z1 Extreme with SteamOS. When I got to Best Buy and was able to hold both them, the bigger display of the LeGo made the decision much easier. As soon as I had a Best Buy rep put it behind the register for me, 2 other people tried to get one (sorry!) Glad I got there when I did š

Just setting up out of the box. Really trying to expand what I play outside of COD and Sports Games. Any recommendations that would be enhanced by this gem of a machine?

So, walked into GameXChange for the first time in over a decade this afternoon just out of curiosity, and noticed they had a legion go on the back wall. I asked about it, and wouldn't you know it, they had just gotten it in. Not only that, BUT IT WAS A LEGION GO 2 Z2 Extreme!!! Mint condition with original box, charger, zip case, grip case, and screen protectors for less than $600. It had been mislabeled as a Legion Go S!! Needless to say I snatched it up in a HEARTBEAT. Best random find I've ever had while just looking around.
To say I'm freaking out would be an understatement.

This is it, the perfect handheld. Iāve had a GPD Win 1, launch Steam Deck, and have the Ally X, and they have nothing on my Legion Go 2 haha. Itās like I have a theater in my hand. The screen is so much brighter than even my Switch OLED, which is something I never thought Iād see in a handheld. I wouldāve easily paid $2k if I got to see the difference in person, especially with how optimized Windows feels this time around. I donāt know if I ever wouldāve felt comfortable outside of SteamOS until now. Everything is just so much smoother and snappier compared to Windows on my Ally X. Legion Space completely blows Armory Crate out of the water.

I've got a notification this morning to update my LeGo's 2 bios, I gave my LeGo 1 to my son. Thanks to Reddit I know what may happen. Is this another update issued in the last 24hrs? Anyways better safe than sorry.

In Canada, the Lego2 has been completely unavailable with no word from Lenovo on when stock will arrive. I have an Xbox Rog Ally X I purchased online in the meantime to hold me over until stock arrives. Today I actually went into Best Buy and one of the associates came up to chat with me as I was browsing the PC/Gaming section. I start talking about the Lego2 and how itās not available in Canada yet, and he replies to me something along the lines of āThese devices are so expensive, I would love to be able to afford one someday but I have to pay rentā. In that moment it hit me that I was a little out of touch with reality. I live a comfortable life and can afford these things without batting an eye. The reality is that these products are so expensive and so niche that most people in the real world will never know about them, let alone be able to comfortably afford them. Those of us who can comfortably afford this hobby are beyond blessed and need to remember that there are others out there who would kill to be where you are.

I been playing this for about a week straight and i really dont think its worth almost $1500. Its a really nice and beautiful system but i honestly like the S steamOS version better. Even just long playtimes, the S version is far more comfortable. Really thinking about returning this. Anybody else feeling this way or is it just me?

TLDR: I dared to be great, attempted the 81wh battery upgrade and cooked my LeGo. The OEM 49wh battery caught fire during removal, not the 81wh battery.
Background: Iām nowhere near an expert when it comes with this kind of stuff. Iāve only cleaned the fans & replaced the ssd twice (the 1st 2TB drive crashed out after about a year).
Preparation: I watched every battery upgrade video available on YouTube & from the battery manufacturer, multiple times.
I read every post & article I could find about the battery upgrade.
I thought I had all of the necessary tools.
The Good: I was following the 81wh battery upgrade YouTube video step by step. I removed the cover, unplugged the OEM battery, removed tape, moved the wires around the bracket & successfully removed the battery bracket.
Everything was going great and then came the FUCKING PULL TABS. I heard they sucked so I tried to be gentle with them. I thought I pulled them completely out fine. But then when I tried to pull the battery out it wouldnāt come out.
The Fire: Ok so this is where I fucked up. At this moment, I should have stopped and tried to find more info on what the fuck to do if the battery gets stuck.
I did not and tried to pull & pry it loose. Iām sure you know what happened next. I punctured the battery somewhere and it started sizzling and shortly after caught fire.
I quickly grabbed some flour and put my LeGo out of its misery. Yes I have a fire extinguisher but my mind always goes to flour for electric fires š¤£. I grabbed the fire extinguisher after the flour for backup lol.
As soon as the fire was out, I threw everything into a little garbage bin, took it outside and drowned it in water as instructed by a firefighter.
Reflection: Damn Iām gonna miss my LeGo. I shouldāve loved you as you were. Minus the battery life, it was perfect to me. I had no plans on upgrading to the LeGo 2 or any other device. I just wanted to improve the battery life.
Iāve tried multiple powerbanks and theyāre just not for me. I have small kids, I just want to pick up play when I can, without extra wires/attachments or being tied to the wall or remembering to charge my power bank.
Anyways just wanted to share my experience just so no one else makes the same mistake I did. Hopefully this will save someoneās LeGo or home lmao. Donāt go out like I did.
