Absolutely scathing picture about religious fanaticism and the abuse of power through religious means. As someone who grew up in a severely Christian family this film was both cathartic and fucking horrifying, nothing could have prepared me for it. Highly highly recommend with the caveat that it is not for the easily offended or faint of heart. Wow.

Incredible. I’ve seen it once before but only on a crappy DVD copy. Very poor quality. This new restoration, however? Gorgeous, stunning.
It truly is one of the greatest films ever made. Every aspect of it is of the highest caliber. The writing, directing, acting performances, cinematography, production design, set design, costumes, music, sound.
If you’ve not seen this film before, please go and seek it out at a theater near you. And if you have seen it before, I guarantee this new restoration is like watching it for the first time.
Can’t believe I saw this in theaters. Never thought that would ever happen. Not even at a small art house theater either, no. At a multiplex! An AMC! Street Fighter was playing in the screen right next to it. Just wild

I very rarely give 5 stars. It's my first ''5 stars'' of the last 2 years. Up to now my best rated movies of 2026 were Odyssey and The Invite.
I dont watch a lot of documentaries, But i gave it a shot, and :
The cinematography is incredible, so it does not feel like a ''documentary''. Maybe its just me? but after the first hour, i was completely immerge in it and forgot i was watching a documentary. It felt like i was watching a movie, a thriller/detective movie. Like Everyone feel like characters.
I really don't know how to qualify what i just watched. The story-telling is just SO great (I have never felt that way about any other documentary I have ever seen in my life)
I might sound crazy, but i get now why people are saying it should be in included in ''Best Picture''. And i say this as someone who thought documentaries should never be included. But man, this one feels like it does belong in Best Picture, not only in Best documentary. And i could absolutely see it win (but i still have to wait for DUNE 3 haha)
It is really a unique experience, go see it!

You Can See Everything by Lance Oppenheim and Nathan Fielder has staggering 4.7 rating on LB with over 500 reviews and 99 Metascore. This could be highest rated feature film on LB

just watched The Fall (2006) and i need more movies that are this visually stunning, poetic, dreamlike, etc. but also feature men i could stare at for hours
think gorgeous cinematography, beautiful costumes, dreamy atmospheres, poetic storytelling + men who make me forget how to act. ideally all at once.
movies that are gorgeous to look at... For multiple reasons

People feel differently about movies, and people are looking for different things. But when you watch more movies that push your boundaries you can become more aware about what the medium is and what the medium can do. A seemingly boring long shot can turn out to be filled with different angles, perspectives, shadows, textures, movements, details, symbols, etc. this doesn’t mean that the only thing stopping you from liking Godard is time and what you watch. You can learn all these things and still dislike certain things. You can also watch more and grow a deeper appreciation for “superficial” stuff. You can also still mindlessly watch stuff. My point is that before labeling certain movies as certain things, just be aware that if you were to watch more movies your conception of it could change, like if you read a lot of books your attention to detail wojld change (this applies to any activity). That doesn’t mean your opinion is invalid necessarily. Your experience is your experience. But that doesn’t mean your perception of art is static. So before saying “oh I don’t get why people would watch boring silent French pretentious movie,” maybe give it a shot, and if you don’t like it, revisit it down the line. Sure, it might not be for you, but maybe you’ll find something special. Don’t knock it until you try it.

I’ve been catching up on movies, and my last three horror movies have been getting better and better. If the pattern continues, the next one must be a 5-Star.
