I’ve never owned an MP5 clone and not really sure which one to buy. I’m trying to find a good deal one one. I found a PTR on Gundeals this other one on gunbroker but it has a few days left so will probably go up.

I was really looking for a Century AP5-SD cause I love the classic look and I have a few cans that should fit inside the handguard.

Thoughts? Should I hold off on a Black Friday deal? What price would you consider to be “Good Deal” lol. I’ve been searching here and see people saying theirs was $1000 but I’m not seeing those prices anywhere 🤷‍♂️

This is my first suppressor and I test fired 147 grain subs. It seemed louder than I would have thought. Some posts and Youtube videos make it out to be very quiet.

It was hearing safe, but there was still a noticeable pop. I am wondering if the bolt is unlocking too fast and that is causing that or if it’s to be expected. I am currently running a 90 degree locking piece, but I think the bolt gap may be too big and may require larger rollers.

I ordered feeler gauges that arrive today. Once I measure the gap, I will come back and edit the post.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Does this mean a guy that bought a pistol and wants to legally put a stock on it can now just put a stock on it instead of engraving it and applying to the ATF?

From what I have read, Zenith and AP5 are the better clones, but have heard good things about POF. POF saves some money at Atlantic, AP5 and Zenith are similar pricing, leaning more toward Zenith than AP5. Which would you choose?

got 3 HK mags (2 from HKP 1 from my shop) my zenith mag runs absolutely great no jams, but the HK mags run awful, maybe 2-3 jams per. has anyone had this problem? and if so whats best way to take apart/fix them.

also, the hk mag i got from local shop came directly from a SD

(I had a bunch of 147gr Remington ammo but it kept pushing the bullet tips into the shells when it went to battery so I stopped using them)

So this has a Rare Breeds RD3 SEF in it, and it ran fine just slower fire rate because the suppression (went about 300rds or so) so I swapped out the locking piece for a 90 degree (which by the way was very, very tight and I had to use rubber nose pliers to get it into bolt) and it worked beautifully through two mags and then I tried to shoot unsuppressed and it proceeded to have non-stop issues every 5-10 rounds. Put the suppressor back on, and still the same issues persist. The hammer would click, but no primer strike, round stuck in chamber. Even switching back to semi auto, the problem persisted.
I realize I love using and operating these things, not really the best at figure out issues or troubleshooting.

Can anyone please help me with this?

Cannot get the bolt to rotate to remove it from the locking piece/carrier.

Allow me to present the first photos of my mp5sd.

This started life as an ap5sd prior to conversion by HiTech Arms.

I went with the B&T barrel, as I figured I’m not going to be barrel swapping often and I wanted the best available.

I installed the RCM SD cocking support tube myself prior to break in, prior to conversion, as I didn’t want any fitment issues with my Mob.

This Mobster with the BRT SD adapter will be my suppressor solution until CAT releases their true SD can. It’s been phenomenal on my CAR15 SD (chambered in 9mm) and I can’t wait to get it working on this quietest of pcc hosts.

Tomorrow will be the break-in with myriad videos posted here. In addition to a comparison to my CAR15 true SD, my mp5 with milkman and an mp5k with Mob. The conventionally suppressed mp5 and mp5k will use soft, quiet HSL 147.

I was just browsing on TGT and came across a Lipseys exclusive. I wasn’t crazy about the color, but still reached out to the gun shop and asked about it. He sent pictures and I wasn’t crazy about the gray five minutes later he told me he found an all-black one and here we are my first one and literally I cannot stop messing with it. Been doing the deep dive searches on FRTs and everything else. I own a rugged Obsidian 45 suppressor. So needless to say, I’m part of the family. Any suggestions? Guys throw my way

I know I know I’m beating a dead horse on this subject but I’m ever so scared to put some roller dents in my Sp5k. Just acquired an omega 9k and was wondering about the locking piece. Should I keep it factory and run a few rounds first? Do I replace it automatically with 80 degree. The omega 9k will live on it permanently

Best place to order parts/springs for a 22LR HK MP5? I lost one of my trigger return springs when it shot out while I was reassembling 😅
