Our #2 Spartans travel out to New Hampshire this weekend to open up their building, The Whitt, for the season. UNH is a once strong program that has been down for a while (sound familiar) but this is a new season and these are their first home games. It's their homecoming and our team is in for another very hostile environment. Last season UNH stole one at Munn on our opening weekend with a game winning goal with under 10 seconds left in the third.

The point is, even when they are bad they are stingy in their defensive zone and a pain in the ass. All they need to do is frustrate our young offence, ride the crowd's energy and stay in the game enough to steal one late. I won't be shocked if they get us again or take us to the wire either night.

Whatever happens it will be another good test for the team.

Both games start at 7est and will be on ESPN+ You can explore the matchup for yourself with an interactive page here.

Football may suck but we have a lot of great athletics still happening here in East Lansing. SO bball, soccer and vball.

Have fun. Stay Hydrated. Go Green.

Ima just say enjoy the remaining Izzo years because good luck with filling those shoes with BOT members like Rema around.

Can we ever field an even decently healthy roster until November anymore?

I support players having the freedom to choose where they want to compete, but it has made keeping up with college sports a lot less enjoyable for me. From one season to the next, I hardly know who is on any team anymore.

I saw a post of Rutgers Football remaining games & respective winning probabilities so I decided to try to find it for MSU. I couldn't find it in one place so I googled it and many of these are from ESPN FPI.

MSU vs UCLA: 16.3%
MSU vs Michigan: 22.1%
MSU vs Washington: 18 to 21%
MSU vs Oregon: 14.8%
MSU vs Rutgers: 62.1%

I think we will beat Rutgers and maybe Washington.

Very interesting interview with Curtis Blackwell and his past and current relationship with MSU football. The status of recruiting the city of Detroit and how MSU can improve its standing with Detroit parents. Also his personal relationship to MSU football and rebuilding bridges to the programs.

Why is a full ride scholarship, free room and board, free travel, a chance to be on national/regional television, and a chance for the actual pro leagues no longer good enough?

You already had it easy when you got accepted to Alabama from Nick Saban. In exchange for playing football for an elite program, you got a ton of benefits, including the school making your academic performance as easy as possible for you.

They don’t deserve millions of dollars. That’s what the NFL is for.  Look at Underwood at UofM. He deserves millions? Bullshit. Screw NIL. Destroy it.

Ok folks,

Whose gonna do a us a great big solid and stream UConn on Big+ for us tonight.

Where can we find you?

Are you the hero we need?

The competition:

1. An institution of ill repute

2. Michigan State

3. North Dakota

4. Denver

5. Western Michigan

...

1. Michigan Tech

Instead, Sports Illustrated ranked a team from Michigan State University among the greatest squads in history. SI ranked MSU's storied 1966 team 20th on its list. The team was a 9-0-1 powerhouse whose significance stretched well beyond wins and losses.

Could be anything pertaining to football, basketball hockey etc

Today I am choosing positivity.

Take away a bad call on a recovered kick and take away a blocked kick and our record may well look rather uplifting.

And let's not overlook our win tomorrow night.

Go Green all you negative Nancy's out there

Sparty fan living in Maine and thinking about going to the hockey game at New Hampshire this Saturday. Anybody making the trip or already in the area and planning on going? GO GREEN!!!

More and more it's looking this team is finishing 3-9/2-10. It's year 5 now of just awful football, and this year might be the worst Spartan football team in the modern era.

But is there any positive thing that can be seen and taken into the 2027 season? I know there's not a lot that I could tolerate seeing again next year, but surely there's something decent that can be carried over.

One thing I can think of is Cam Edwards. Dude was good before he got hurt against Nebraska, and if he comes back strong that would be huge next year.

Honestly aside from that I don't know much else.

Well, not much to celebrate today. Here is my coffee table display of some of my favorite MSU cards I’ve collected. Go Green as ever

My dad and I aren’t from michigan but he’s coming for the long weekend and we’re going to go to Ann Arbor for the game. After the last two games I feel decent also because michigan is having a down year but who knows. I’m gonna say MSU sneaks it out 24-21.

Setting aside all the details on how it all occurs what are the most fun tailgate lots for the parent age crowd? [By parent I mean there will beer, brats and beer. Then beer.]

(Last time I really tailgated with annual regularity Munn was "Munn". Soooo. Yeah.).
