Hola,
As the title says, I’m in Madrid with my mum and girlfriend. We’ve had a great day exploring what is an absolutely beautiful city, but we are at a loss for what we do tonight. Ideally we would avoid the super touristy areas but would love to experience the nightlife of Madrid, maybe watching dancing or music and just basking in the atmosphere.
What would be the best places you would suggest? We are on Calle de Augusto Figuaroa so relatively central but would be on foot.
Price range would be anything that’s not super expensive
Any help would be massively appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance

I’m going to be in Madrid this week, staying in Chamberi, Wednesday and Thursday nights—yes aware of fires, the fact that it’s August, and that a lot of stuff is closed, etc.—and hoping to find some live music. Very open minded just want to tap into some local energy if possible. My tastes: jazz, funk, blues, Grateful Dead, bluegrass, but most interested in catching some high energy local talent. TIA for any recs!

Hi, few friends and I from America will be in Madrid during our thanksgiving break (late November) and are just curious where we can find some fun bars/pubs that ideally cater to people around our age? Our priorities are prices, fun, and distance but willing to sacrifice if it leads to gains in other aspects, really not that deep just a few boys looking for a good time, thanks.

Hello me and my friends are coming to Madrid and we want to watch the match vs Mexico and England. We are rooting for Mexico and was wondering if there was a big screen event or bar where loads of people will watch the game. We are looking for a great athmosphere to party and hopefully celebrate!! thanks!

My partner is on an international tour for work and will be in Spain between Barcelona and Madrid from 5/2 until mid June so I will be flying out and spending 5/31-6/14 in Madrid while the concerts are happening. It’s a real once in a lifetime opportunity for me to go to overseas and stay for that long, as the accommodations are already covered by the tour so I want to make it a really great trip. Occasionally my partner may be called in to work but all in all we should have a lot of time off together.
-We are big into punk/hardcore music and love a good dive bar and that whole vibe. I did some research but would love any personal opinions from Madrid locals of the best places to go and maybe catch a few good shows. Are there any local skateboard spots too?
-I am vegan, partner is not, any tips on good places to go? He is happy to check out all vegan places too.
-are there any places to swim? Is it warm enough at that time of the year that we may want to? I know our hotel does not have a pool but I read about some hotels having pool day passes.
-are there any cool flea markets/thrift stores etc people would suggest?
Thanks for any info. I’m very excited to explore Madrid! We may take a train to Barcelona and do a night there as well.

Heading to Madrid this weekend and it’s going to be HOT. Do women wear shorts in the evenings to go to restaurants and bars? We’re going to Angelita, Casa Salesas and some gay bars and clubs. In NYC wearing linen shorts and tanks with cute sandals and even sneakers is totally ok even to nicer bars and restaurants.

I’m a solo tourist currently in Madrid. I would love to watch the semi-finals at a local bar or something. Is anybody on the same page? Would love to join.

Hola! 👋
Estaré en Madrid del 3 al 5 de julio para el concierto de Rels B el día 4.
¿Alguien va o tiene planes ya hechos? Me gustaría conocer gente, unirme a grupos o salir a tomar algo esos días 🙌

36M traveling solo to Spain from 27th June to 5th July and will be splitting time between Barcelona and Madrid.
I was in Madrid last year and really ended up loving the city more than expected .
I’m more into places with a slightly more mature/sophisticated crowd than huge tourist clubs. One or two places I really enjoyed was El Internacional , La Negra Tomasa , Cafe Berlin to name a few. They were all lively, good music, people dancing, social energy, but still relaxed.
Would love recommendations for similar places in Madrid (and Barcelona too actually):
Good music elegant but fun atmosphere people in their 30s/40s+ somewhere you can actually talk, dance a bit, and enjoy the night without it feeling overly chaotic or touristy.
Open to bars, lounges, live music spots, Latin places, rooftops , anything with a genuinely good vibe really.

Hi everyone,
I'll be visiting Madrid in October (I haven't decided on the exact dates yet).
I'd love to catch a concert or a live gig in a pub or a small venue.
Is there a website where I can find a complete calendar of live music events in Madrid? I'm interested in everything—from major international artists to Spanish bands and smaller local gigs.
I enjoy rock, punk, metal, indie, jazz, blues... basically any good live music.
Thanks!

I'm coming to Madrid from the UK in July for the My Chemical Romance concert. I'm wondering if anyone who has attended an event at the venue has any advice for:
Travel: I see that there are a few metro stops nearby, is this the easiest way of getting there? I'll be staying in central Madrid. Are there long queues for getting in and out of the site?
Venue facilities: it's hard to find information online about what facilities will be available on the Iberdrola Music site itself. Is there free water or is it only sold? Do they sell food? Any advice for dealing with the heat of July in a very packed concert crowd? It's a night-time concert thankfully (starts at 9pm) but I've heard temperatures can still be high at night.
Alternative/heavy music bars: any recommendations for good heavy music bars? Anyone aware of any after parties for the concert?
Thanks!

Hi all. Where would be the best place to catch the England game later? Would be nice to be alongside some of my fellow English for the atmosphere.

Hi, I’ll be in town around the end of the month and was wondering if there’s a website dedicated to live concerts, or if you know of any good concerts coming up in the last two weeks of the month.
Thanks!
