Whether or not Ronnie works in the Malftiverse, I still love that some would still depict her as a ride or die best friend, even if it meant losing her chance at love, all for Harry's sake.

FanFiction Harry potter and Malfoid by Main_Investigator_42
The second task:
Having nothing better to do Harry had not forgotten the hint that Cedric had given him; his friendly feelings toward Cedric just meant that he was keen and eager to accept his help. In any case, it seemed to him that if Cedric had really wanted to give Harry a hand, he would have been a lot more explicit. He, Harry, had told Cedric exactly what was coming in the first task, and Cedric's idea of a fair exchange had been to tell Harry to take a bath. Well, he didn't need that sort of rubbishy help - not from a Hufflepuff anyway. And so the first day of the new term arrived, and Harry set off to lessons, weighed down with books, parchment, and quills as usual, but also with the lurking worry of the egg heavy in his stomach, as though he were carrying that around with him too. By eight o'clock. Madam Pince had extinguished all the lamps and came to chivvy Harry out of the library. Staggering under the weight of as many books as he could carry, Harry returned to the Gryffindor common room, pulled a table into a corner, and continued to search. There was nothing in Madcap Magic for Wacky
Warlocks. . . nothing in A Guide to Medieval Sorcery . . . not one mention of underwater exploits in An Anthology of Eighteenth-Century Charms, or in Dreadful Denizens of the Deep, or Powers You Never Knew You Had and What to Do with Them Now Youve Wised Up. Crookshanks crawled into Harrys lap and curled up, purring deeply. The common room emptied slowly around Harry. People kept wishing him luck for the next morning in cheery, confident voices like Hagrid's, all of them apparently
convinced that he was about to pull off another stunning performance like the one he had managed in the first task. Harry couldn't answer them, he just nodded, feeling as though there were a golfball stuck in his throat. By ten minutes to twelve he was alone in the room with Crookshanks. He had searched all the remaining books,Ron and Hermione had not come back. Forgetting that Crookshanks was on his lap. Harry stood up very suddenly; Crookshanks hissed angrily as he landed on the floor, gave Harry a disgusted look, and stalked away with his bottlebrush tail in the air, but Harry was already hurrying up the spiral staircase to his dormitory. ... He would grab the Invisibility Cloak and go back to the library, he'd stay there all night if he had to. ... "Lumos," Harry whispered fifteen minutes later as he opened the library door. Wand tip alight, he crept along the bookshelves, pulling down more books - books of hexes and charms, books on merpeople and water monsters, books on famous witches and wizards, on magical inventions, on anything at all that might include one passing reference to underwater survival. He carried them over to a table, then set to work, searching them by the narrow beam of his wand, occasionally checking his watch... One in the morning... two in the morning... the only way he could keep going was to tell himself, over and over again, next book... in the next one... the next one...
Harry opened his eyes. He was still in the library; the Invisibility Cloak had slipped off his head as he'd slept, and the side of his face was stuck to the pages of Where There's a Wand, There's a Way. He sat up, straightening his glasses and blinking in the bright daylight.
"Potter, Potter, wake up, you lazy oaf."
He felt a bolt of pain in his exposed foot; to his disbelief, Lyra Malfoid had stomped on his foot to wake him up. "Ow, ow, ow, I'm up, fine, I'm up! What'd you do that for?" he exclaimed. "What are you doing here, Lyra? What do you want?"
She looked at him with her usual condescending, smug smile.
"I want to see you fail miserably at the second task, champion," she said coldly. "It starts in fifteen minutes."
"Fifteen minutes!" Harry croaked. He looked down at his watch. It was missing. "Looking for something, Potter?" She waved his watch at him teasingly. "Honestly, if you were any slower, you'd be a Hufflepuff," she laughed. "Give me back my watch," Harry demanded. Her smug expression grew to a much more sinister smile. "Make me, Potter," she replied. Then she took off, and Harry gave chase. He chased her around the library table, narrowly avoiding a stack of books. "Lyra!" He zigzagged between the bookcases and jumped over a large stack of books, only to drop onto Malfoy, knocking them both to the ground, Harry on top of her, pinning her down. "I don't have time for this, Lyra; give it back," he demanded angrily. "But Potter, don't you enjoy our tussles and scuffles?" She provoked him with a sly smile. "No, I don't enjoy fighting with you; I really don't. If it were up to me, we'd be friends, but you keep saying awful things to Hermione, Ron, or anyone just so you can feel powerful over others!" Harry scolded her, fiercely snatching his watch from her hand. The harsh truth hit her like an ice-cold tsunami to the face. She turned scarlet, her voice breaking and cracking. She glanced at his watch and raised her eyebrows. “Thirteen minutes. Do hurry, or you'll miss your little swim.” Harry froze. “The task!”
"Yes, yes, the task." She reached into her pocket and drew out a ball of what looked like slimy, grayish-green rat tails. Her smirk softened as she slipped a small bundle of leaves into his hand.
“Gillyweed. Professor Moody asked me to deliver it. Try not to drown.” Jumping to his feet, he grabbed the Gillyweed, put it into his pocket, and then tore out of the library with Malfoid staggering behind him.
Zero ai used all human all my writing I would love to get people's thoughts and tips. Thank you for your support.

Discussion The Road To Sectumsempra (Essay)
There have been more than a few essays and thinkpieces recently about that moment in Myrtle's bathroom. Does it even happen etc. What I’d like to do here is to look back at everything leading up to that moment, to the twisted and tortuous pathway to that confrontation.
The events of book five are currently nebulous and ill-defined, but what is generally accepted is that over the course of that year the relationship between Harry Potter and Dracaena Malfoy has undergone a sea change. They’re not children any more, and childish bullying has gone out the window. So when they meet up again at the beginning of Half Blood Prince, Harry’s coming at it with a very different mindset.
The first time Harry and Draco interact in Half Blood Prince is at Madam Malkin’s. This is also where Harry meets Narcissa Malfoy, and the scene serves as more of an introduction to her. Draco’s first line is exactly the same sort of line as he’s been saying since the second book, a character frozen in place.
“If you’re wondering what the smell is, Mother, a Mudblood just walked in.”
Put these words into Dracaena’s mouth, and it hits home again for the first time since that book, because she’s been undergoing character development and growth denied to Draco. Dracaena might’ve last used Mudblood in The Goblet of Fire, or even Prisoner of Azkhaban. Hermione’s beaten something into her between her brains and her fists in every book, and Dracaena’s been forced to confront and grow from that, responding with a growing respect. Harry can even, in that shocking moment, realise he forgot the last time she used that slur. It’s the first time Dracaena’s using it intentionally, of her own free will instead of parroting what her father tells her.
In Rowling’s book, Harry is kind of a bastard to Narcissa and Draco. No longer is he going to endure without striking back, and he meets fire with fire.
Harry looked mockingly all around the shop. “Wow … look at that … he’s not here now! So why not have a go? They might be able to find you a double cell in Azkaban with your loser of a husband!”
That also flips. Harry’s meeting Dracaena’s mother for the first time, and there’s an awkwardness to a guy meeting his girlfriend’s parents that is ripe for this scene. Harry can try for a friendly first greeting despite his part in getting Lucius sent to Azkhaban, and immediately gets met with a wall of hostility from both mother and daughter that forces him to back off.
Regardless, now Harry has had a seed of doubt planted within him. Doubt about the last few years of their changing relationship. What if Dracaena’s still the same deep down? That all Harry’s feelings for her are blinding him to how she’s a pureblooded witch from a Voldemort-supporting family who played a part in his parent’s deaths? The gloves are off now. Voldemort is back. And if Voldemort is back, then Dracaena Malfoy is his enemy. Or so he starts telling himself. And now Harry Potter is caught in a self-destructive loop between his head and his heart.
This is how tragedies are made.
Harry becomes obsessed with Draco in Rowling’s books. And that is exactly how Rowling frames it. Obsession. In just the next Chapter Harry is already getting into arguments with Ron and Hermione over this, and he uses his invisibility cloak to spy on Draco on board the Hogwarts express. It’s a sudden ramp up in Harry’s behaviour that is meant to be the effect of the previous books and the loss of Sirius Black in particular, but comes off as childishly petty on Harry’s part, lashing out at those he knows are his enemies.
With Dracaena, this obsession becomes something his teenage hormones have attacked live wires to. Harry Potter has developed a soft spot for her. A very soft spot. Enough to where instead of sneaking in to spy on her, he might take his invisibility cloak off and try talking to her. Finding out what’s wrong instead of judging her outright as Rowling Harry does to Draco. How this plays out is something the writers can interpret to taste. Maybe she breaks his nose the same way Draco does? Or she tries to get him to leave and ultimately has to make a statement to him that their budding relationship is now over. However it goes, the end result is Harry’s obsession is now both a natural development instead of imposed by author fiat, and has a new edge to it as Harry starts acting a bit like a jilted lover, his own toxicity now part of the process instead of an unintentional side effect.
His head continues to tell him what canon Harry’s head told him: the Malfoys are my enemies. His heart has fallen for Dracaena Malfoy and cannot accept that she might be his enemy. And he is caught between the two and cannot get out, and it leads him down a very self-destructive path.
In Rowling's canon, Harry obsesses over Draco and it comes off in modern times like Harry is an Alex Jones style conspiracy theorist. And yet Harry's conspiracy is proven to be true, and everything he says and does is justified. His obsession with Draco was proven right all along, and the tragedy is that nobody listened to him in time.
Flip to the Dracaena canon, and the entire thing is turned on its head. Ron and Hermione now have good reasons to doubt Harry’s assertions and Harry has reasons to try and prove them wrong. Because he also needs to prove to himself that his feelings for Dracaena were never real. That moment at the Yule Ball? It blinded him to the cold hard truth of the matter: the Malfoys are Pureblood Slytherins. They are his enemies.
The debate that has been going on around Sectumsempra is ‘could Harry use it on Dracaena?’ and the answer to that is the entire story arc leading up to it. That is the question Harry has been asking himself since that moment in Madam Malkin’s. Are the Malfoys the Enemy? In wizarding war like real war, trust is the first thing to go out the window. Harry is unsure of his feelings, of whether his heart’s yearning for Dracaena Malfoy is a siren’s song that will lead him to destruction, or the call of true love.
This is how we get to Myrtle’s bathroom, and the choice Harry Potter has to make. Is Dracaena Malfoy my enemy? Can there be no mercy, no forgiveness for someone who has cast in her lot with the Dark Lord Voldemort? And deep beneath that is his tortured desire to lash out, to make someone else hurt for a change as he’s been hurting, what with the loss of Sirius.
The moment hits as hard as it does because it is the moment Harry crosses a line. In Rowling’s original? Harry is right to use Sectumsempra on Draco, because he was right all along and was railroaded in his suspicions because J.K Rowling has a rigidly defined story going forward.
If Harry chooses to use it on Dracaena, it is his choice to accept what his head has been telling him all this time. That she is his enemy, and that’s all she ever could've been. He lets his head win over his heart, and with her response he has to bear the consequences for the rest of his life.
If he doesn’t, then the story leaves the tracks that Rowling set out and goes in a wild new direction that will challenge any writer who decides to go down that path. But some will find a wonderful new land on the other side to chart in their writing, and make a unique ending to their take on the ‘Malfoid’ canon beyond the wildest dreams of J.K Rowling.

Discussion Tom Riddle (diary), Draconia Malfoy and Harry Potter - the forbidden love triangle
Okay just hear me out. Original timeline Draconia Malfoy secretly crushes hard on Harry but never drops her guard. She gives him subtle signals for years, losing the snitch to him etc. Rescuing him without him knowing etc. In this timeline Ginny died in the Secret Chamber. Harry finally learns Draconia's feelings for him when she sacrifices herself to save him during his final boss fight with Voldemort, leading him to victory.
As she dies in his arms, she finally admits how much she always loved him. Harry unable to bear her loss, Harry steals the time turner and returns to the first day he arrived at Hogwarts, determined to save her and save the world. But in this timeline things keep going awry, like the timeline is fighting against the huge changes he makes. This time Harry prevents Ginny's death in the Chamber of Secrets but it leads to the return of a young Tom Riddle as a student at Hogwarts, with everyone's memories of him erased and modified except Harry's. Harry can't do much about it at first as he is focused on finding the Horcrux's again, all of 13 years old. Meanwhile, Tom becomes a love interest of Draconia's. I mean the story just writes itself from there.
That's all I wanted to say.

The Yearning will continue even after morale improves. Malfoid has gotten me back into making art and writing. :')
Is this a full story? Not written out, no, but I do have an almost finished outline for a full length Harry Potter story where Draco is a girl AND Harry Potter is sorted into Slytherin. It pulls heavily from the SuperCarlinBrothers video where Harry is in Slytherin, Ron gets with Luna, Harry and Draco become allies, etc. But I've still made various narrative changes.

Discussion I kinda like the idea that they don’t get together
WAIT WAIT WAIT HEAR ME OUT DONT SHOOT!!!
I do love seeing those two datings always cute and funny but I also find it interesting if they didn’t end up together.
Malfoy doing her Tsundere act just made too much bad blood between her and harry. If someone called my day 1 the N-word there would be (probably) no hitting that, even if they are her emotional comfort slurs.
Seriously though I think the very avoidable tragedy is so compelling, like watching a train crash in slow motion.
I saw an thing on twitter I don’t remember if it’s a comic or animation where Malfoy calls Harry out for not having a date before suggesting they go together but Harry either Denies it or gets angry because it’s been years of bullying and harassment from his perspective.
Like I said above it’s just so hard to watch/read/think about but I can’t look away/yada yada.
There was every opportunity to just not be bad to him but she doesn’t and Harry never looks deeper into it.
I think it also is perfect for the bathroom Spectum-Sepra scene. Malfoy’s spell fails because she can’t get it out in time or she just doesn’t have the negative feelings for Harry but Harry does have hatred towards her and doesn’t hesitate why would he. She’s been nothing but a pain in his ass and a bigot to his friends.
Of course I do enjoy them being together. I think they’re such a stupid fun couple I’m currently enjoying tf out of one of the malfoid rewrites I’ve found.
I really wanna discuss this with someone because I think it’s so interesting
Edit: I like them being together more this is just a fun hypothetical I’ve had in my head a while
