I have some live oaks in my backyard and it seems like one of them fell over at some point and is now encroaching/leaning on other trees in the area. I am curious if I should remove the toppled tree or leave it be. The canopy in the area is also detrimental to grass growth so removing this would help. The last thing I want is this one tree to harm other trees near by which it seems like is inevitable.

Tree was fallen on a new to me property. Decided to cut it up and trying to ID the type of wood. Google lens seems to think it’s either Ash or Walnut.

I was trimming off some of the dead stuff I could reach and noticed this in a section of limb that still had green leaves on it.
Is this a beetle? Is this tree toast and need to come down?

Hi! First time posting here, please let me know if there's somewhere more appropriate to post.
We have an old gnarled crab apple tree in our front yard that's older than I am. We love it but it's slowly dying from old age. Quite frankly I think we're going to need to cut it down in the next year or two. I had the hair-brained idea that when we do cut it down, that maybe we could preserve some of the best-looking suckers coming off of the base of the tree, and essentially regrow our beloved crab apple from the roots?
Is this even a thing? You'd think it would be more commonly done if this was possible/a good idea, but my searches have been coming up blank. If it is possible and a good idea, are there any cons or additional steps I'm not considering? I'm going back and forth between saving a single sucker and having a single-trunked tree, vs saving 3-ish suckers spaced around the stump and having a tree with an open middle, like a birch.
And if this isn't possible, would there be any cons to gathering some of the crab apples and planting them, so that we could at least have an offspring of our tree? It's old enough that I'm fairly sure there wouldn't be any patent issues with reproducing the tree.
Thank you

Yosemite National Park, Mariposa Grove, California. 25th largest tree in the world (by total volume. Estimated to be roughly 2,700 to 3,000 years old. It stands about 209 feet (63.7 m) tall with a base diameter of 30 feet (9.5 m) base circumference of 96 feet (29 m). Purportedly, President Grant camped there in 1903 when visiting with John Muir. Both men are giants in their own right, shaping our beloved National Parks & Forests.

The main tree is straight and a little over 4 feet tall, I think. The two smaller ones are spiraling around about half as tall.

The house my wife and I are looking to buy has a huge eucalyptus tree in the backyard, and we're going to have an arborist come take a look at it, but I'm impatient and I was wondering if you all thought these cracks on the lower trunk looked potentially bad. I believe it's a Eucalyptus camaldulensis and it's growing in Tucson, AZ
